Posted by Robin on 21 December 2012 16 Comments

Beyoncé Pulse NYC advert

Beyoncé will launch Beyoncé Pulse NYC, a new  flanker to 2011's Beyoncé Pulse, in January. Beyoncé Pulse NYC is a tribute to New York City and an 'olfactory journey' to the city's hot spots.

Beyoncé Pulse NYC was developed by perfumer Carlos Vinals; notes include raspberry, pomegranate, pear, peony, jasmine, orchid, red velvet cupcake, patchouli, cashmere woods and amber.

Beyoncé Pulse NYC will be available in 15, 30 and 50 ml Eau de Parfum.

You know, I thought it was striking too. But the proportions of her upper torso look really weird to me. Wondering if it got a bit too much attention in the post processing.

Was just going to say that her bosom area looks incredibly long and bizarre and her upper torso over all is practically at a 45 degree angle to the rest of her.

I love that ad! That dress she’s wearing is GORG!

The notes sound promising. Red velvet cupcake? Hmm. Sounds delicious!

It does not sound like my sort of thing, but the red velvet cupcake part might be fun.

If only they’d left out the peony & pear, I’d be more interested :-)

I don’t mind peony so much, but peony + pear = shampoo to me.

Hope you will love it though!

I see Beyonce’ is gonna pump out the fragrances every year…who know’s she might catch up with JLO who has made millions off of her 18 or so perfumes.

She’s as distorted as a comic book superheroine! And as a Native NYer, let me tell you – nothing about those notes suggest an olfactory journey through NY! lol

So, a fragrance named after a US city won’t be released in the US.
    Here’s what Coty emailed me:
“We’re sorry to disappoint you, but this product is not available for sale in the United States. Unfortunately there are no current plans to launch this product and there are no retailers that will deliver product into the U.S. Our decision to not carry a product is based on market trends.”
What a bummer! Here’s hoping I find it online sooner or later. : )

And Sears in Canada has it already.

Yeah, I’m sure it will show up somewhere in the US or online sooner or later. : )
