How do I get it: Tell me about your favorite perfume by Tableau de Parfums or Tauer Perfumes, if you have one. Otherwise, tell me about your favorite female movie character.

Oh, what a nice and generous draw!
I’ve been through many perfumes by Andy Tauer but nothing really seemed to please me…
…Until I tried Reverie au Jardin which is an instant love for me!

  2. Dixie says:

I’m not familiar with Tableau de Parfums, but love L’Air du Desert Marocain by Andy Tauer.

My favorite female movie character is Ripley from Alien. As a 13 year-old I just loved her strength.

My favorite Tauer is Une Rose Chypree. I’m hoarding my sample. Thanks for the draw!

LLDM for me, as well as Une Rose Chypree. Tauer Parfums Tableau are unknown to me. THx!!!

Thanks for the draw….It is hard to pick an Andy fave because I love so many of them, but….I probably wear Incense Rose most of all, followed closely by Reverie au Jardin. Fingers crossed.

Sadly, have never tried anything of Tauer perfumes, but looking forward to someday doing it! A favorite movie (and book) character would have to be Hermione from Harry Potter:)

  7. Penz says:
    31 October 2012 at 10:48 am

I have not tried anything by Tauer or Tableau de Parfums and would so love to.
My fave movie character is the diabolical Amanda Priestly from The Devil Wears Prada . I love the way she throws her coats and bags down on the assistants desk with such insouciance..

  8. trixiesweet says:
    31 October 2012 at 10:54 am

I am not familiar with Tauer or Tableau de Parfums either, but this sounds delicious!
My fave movie character is Holly Golightly from Breakfast in Tiffany’s (my fave movie). I love the scene of the cocktail party.

  9. egabbert says:

My three favorite Tauers are L’Air du Desert Morocain, Incense Rose and Une Rose Chypree. Which one is my FAVORITE favorite changes with the seasons. :) Thanks for the draw!

  10. Kathryn says:
    31 October 2012 at 11:04 am

My favorite Tauer perfume is Une Rose Chypree. I haven’t tried any of the Tableau de Parfums yet, but love what I have seen of Brian Pera’s Woman’s Picture, the film on which they’re based.

  11. friede says:
    31 October 2012 at 11:06 am

    *fingers crossed so hard*

My favorite so far, to my surprise, is Reverie Au Jardin — it is the most amazing lavender I’ve ever smelled, and the only one I can wear…

  12. Prebendal says:
    31 October 2012 at 11:08 am

L’Air du Desert Marocain, for certain. It’s wonderful.

I’d have to say Norma Desmond, who I think probably wore a gardenia perfume.

  13. Katy says:
    31 October 2012 at 11:11 am

Io ho Zeta di Andy Tauer. Lo adoro, è un profumo che mi fa star bene. Ha un odore molto particolare che mi affascina <3

  14. Kim says:
    31 October 2012 at 11:14 am

Vetiver Dance. I ordered a sample from LuckyScent and fell in love immediately. A full bottle is going to be my present for reaching my goal weight, if I haven’t spent all my money on new clothes already. There’s a couple others of his I don’t mind, but the green sweetness of Vetiver Dance is just to die for.

  15. Jack Sullivan says:
    31 October 2012 at 11:18 am

I’m a complete Tauer virgin so far (*blush*) but I read wonderful things about some of his perfumes.
It is very hard for me to pick up just one favorite female character, I love movies the way you love perfumes (I laughed while reading Angela’s post yesterday because I can relate). I’d say Sister Clodagh (Deborah Kerr) in “Black Narcissus” by Powell & Pressburger, because she thinks she’s strong enough to beat the odds and forget she’s a woman starving for love.

  16. jirish says:
    31 October 2012 at 11:25 am

I have so many Tauer favorites that this is hard to answer, but I’d have to say it’s a tie between Incense Rose and Zeta. Andy is the perfumer most likely to bankrupt me!

  17. sfsassy says:
    31 October 2012 at 11:29 am

I have tried a few Tauer. I like Orange Star. Like the name, like the scent! Thanks for the generous draw!!

  18. moon_grrl says:

My fave Tauer is still Vetiver Dance. Thanks for the draw!

  19. Zazie says:

L’air du desert marocain….thanks for the international draw!

  20. Absolute Scentualist says:
    31 October 2012 at 11:53 am

Sadly, my favorite Tauer perfume thus far has been the sample of Dark Passage I received. It is beautiful and rivals Orange Star and Une Rose Chypree as my favorite AT perfume.

  21. E. Lime says:
    31 October 2012 at 11:58 am

I have yet to smell Tauer’s work as I am just beginning my perfume explorations, but given my current likes and what I’ve read, I think I’d love Incense Rose and Lonestar Memories, and I’ve definitely been intrigued by Loretta.
My favorite movie heroine is Edwina Cutwater, played by the fabulous Lily Tomin in “All of Me.” She’s a character that discovers untapped strength (and Steve Martin’s love — how can you go wrong there?).

  22. moore says:
    31 October 2012 at 12:02 pm

As I don’t know any perfume of the line, my favorite female movie character is Beatrix Kiddo (Kill Bill movie) and Mia from Pulp Fiction.

  23. Kseni says:
    31 October 2012 at 12:03 pm

I’ve tried Miriam only once, but was instantly in love. I’d love to try Loretta. Thank you for the draw.

  24. Thalia says:
    31 October 2012 at 12:07 pm

I haven’t tried any of the tableaux, but I love Incense Rose. Favorite female character? I couldn’t possibly choose, but I do have a soft spot for Audrey Tatou as Amelie!

  25. Vlada says:
    31 October 2012 at 12:37 pm

Till now I’ve tried Maroc pour Elle,L`Air du Desert Marocain, Incense Extreme and Lonestar Memories.
By now L`Air du Desert Marocain is best for me.No matter what the weather, I wear it in hot or cold. I can’t get enough.
    Thanks for the draw!

  26. Ann-Sofie says:
    31 October 2012 at 12:43 pm

I have not tried any of Andy Tauers fragrances, but would love to!

My favourites are Beatrix Kiddo (Kill Bill) and Ellen Ripley (Alien). A woman got to do what a woman got to do.

    Thanks for the draw!

  27. JolieFleurs says:
    31 October 2012 at 12:48 pm

I’d say Miriam has been my favorite tauer so far, the sandalwood was just lovely. I drained my sample!

And my favorite female movie character is undoubtedly Auntie Mame, I read the books over and over again as a teenager, but somehow It never registered with me that her perfume was Nuit de Noel til I found this blog…and it thrilled me, because it was one I had discovered shortly before and is probably my Holy Grail.

Thanks to NST and Andy for a chance to win a sample!

  28. Filomena says:
    31 October 2012 at 12:55 pm

My favorite Tableau perfume was Miriam until Loretta came along. In the Tauer line, my three favorites are Un Rose Chypre, Zeta and Orange Star. Thanks for the draw!

  29. LCT says:
    31 October 2012 at 12:57 pm

My favorite so far is Lonestar Memories. It starts off very man’s man leather and woods but sweetens in the dry down to what I consider unisex and very fitting at this time of year in the Pacific Northwest. I’d LOVE to try Loretta so thanks for the draw!

  30. Dink says:
    31 October 2012 at 1:07 pm

I don’t have a favorite Tauer yet, but did enjoy my sample of Miriam. Actually, Loretta sounds more up my alley. One of my favorite female characters from a movie is Evelyn Couch (played by Kathy Bates) in the movie Fried Green Tomatoes. She goes through quite a transformation in the movie. When she rams her car several times into the other car in the parking lot and her husband is trying to understand how she “accidentally” did this, it just makes me howl with delight.

  31. Gardeniagirl says:
    31 October 2012 at 1:14 pm

My favourite tauer scent is Reveries au Jardin – I love the ever changing aspects of this fragrance, it shows a new face everytime I wear it. I have worked my way through several samples and found that I don’t want to be without it.

  32. Abyss says:
    31 October 2012 at 1:16 pm

Big thank you for the generous draw!

I only tried a small number of Andy’s scents but the one I like the best so far is Une Rose Chypree.

  33. rendangboy says:
    31 October 2012 at 1:20 pm

My favorite Tauer is Incense Extreme.

In line with the tuberose theme I will name my favorite femme fatale: Barbara Stanwyck’s Phyllis from Double Indemnity.

  34. helenviolette says:
    31 October 2012 at 1:21 pm

Une rose chypre is still in the top spot, but I am fond of many! Thanks for the draw!

  35. sacre bleu says:

    fav Tauer: incense rose
    Thanks for the contest.

  36. Dionne says:
    31 October 2012 at 1:29 pm

My favorite Tauer is Incense Rosé, followed closely by Maroc pour Elle and LADDM.

  37. Amy says:
    31 October 2012 at 1:29 pm

My favorite Tauer (so far) is Carillon pour un Ange, which is super unexpected because I usually go for heavy orientals and woods. Thanks for doing the draw!

  38. matildaben says:
    31 October 2012 at 1:35 pm

I really love Tableau de Parfums Miriam – very vintage-inspired!

  40. superdandelion says:
    31 October 2012 at 1:39 pm

Thanks for the giveaway! My new surprise fave from Tauer is Reverie au Jardin, reminds me of summer and sunshine on lavender bushes.

One of my favorite woman characters is Bette Davis in All About Eve– “Buckle your seat belts, it’s going to be a bumpy ride!”

  41. Queen_Cupcake says:
    31 October 2012 at 1:58 pm

Le Maroc Pour Elle is my favorite Tauer perfume, followed very closely by L’Air du Desert Marocain. Sometimes it is difficult for me to say which one I like better. My favorite female movie character is Scarlett O’Hara portrayed by Vivien Leigh (not necessarily my favorite actress). Thanks for this drawing! Fiddle-dee-dee!

  42. fleurdelys says:
    31 October 2012 at 2:04 pm

Most Tauer fragrances have not worked well on my skin, however I liked Miriam very much and it smelled great on me. I was impressed by its classic-perfumery style, its depth and elegance. I’ve heard great things about Loretta and would love to try it.

  43. YellowLantern says:

I haven’t tried many Tauers yet, but so far I really like L’Air du Desert Marocain. I’ve been wanting to try Loretta. From what I’ve read about it, it sounds like something I would like.

    Female movie character: Princess Leia

  48. samberg says:
    31 October 2012 at 3:03 pm

I have a sample of Miriam that I treasure. Since there’s no choosing between them I’m gonna have to go with Thelma & Louise as my duo of choice.

  49. Jada in GA says:
    31 October 2012 at 3:09 pm

I also have a sample of Miriam that I wear only occasionally…it’s smells old fashioned to me, so I have to be in the right mood!

Favorite actress: I have always liked Reese Witherspoon, a fellow Nashville hometown native! :)

  50. Rapunzel says:

  51. PhinClio says:
    31 October 2012 at 3:19 pm

I like many Tauers (and own bottles of three of his perfumes), but my favorite is still LADDM. It’s both the first Tauer I sampled and the first I bought…and it’s one of my favorite scents from any house.

  52. Gennyleigh says:
    31 October 2012 at 3:25 pm

I own a bottle of L’Air du Desert Morocain, but my favorite Tauer is probably Une Rose Chypree. Thanks for rhe draw!

  53. ceciliat says:
    31 October 2012 at 3:31 pm

Although there are a couple of others I really like, I think my favorite is L’Air du Desert Morocain. I’ve got Loretta on my list of samples to buy so this is great timing — thanks for the draw!

  54. armadillo says:
    31 October 2012 at 3:32 pm

La Maroc Pour Elle sprayed on top LUSH Ultra Balm. Sensual, erotic
and last forever. My very favourite summer scent.
Wilma Flinstone. What a role model!!

  55. lovethescents says:
    31 October 2012 at 3:52 pm

How exciting and delightful! Thank you for this opportunity, Robin! My favorite Tauer, so far, is l’Air du Desert, and Carillon pour un Ange. I’m anxiously awaiting to try Une Rose Chypree as I tested it ages ago and didn’t care for it, but I believe my palate has changed since then.

Oh and of course, how could I forget, my beloved Zeta; wonderful linden blossom rendition!

  56. Joley says:
    31 October 2012 at 3:56 pm

My favourite Tauer is Pentachord White.

  57. Sydscents says:
    31 October 2012 at 4:02 pm

I just finished a sample of Miriam from the Tableau Collection. I saw some of the short films for Loretta and would really like to try it. My favorite Tauer is probably l’Air du Desert Marocain.

  58. k-scott says:
    31 October 2012 at 4:25 pm

I’ve tried most of the Tauers, but my favorite is still the first I tried.. L’Air du Desert Morocain. It is such an evocative scent for me.

  59. Lucy says:
    31 October 2012 at 4:39 pm

I have never had the fortune of seeing a Tauer or Tableau de Parfums creation in person, but the favorite female character is easy. It’s Xenia Onatopp from GoldenEye, played to perfection by Famke Janssen. This was the first James Bond movie I ever saw. I really had no interest in watching it, but was with a group of friends who outvoted me. I watched most of her scenes with my jaw dropped and left the theater ready to demand someone just give her the Oscar that year. (I’m now a Bond junkie, btw.)
    Thanks for another great giveaway!

Hard to say – Incense Rose, L’Air du Desert, Vetiver Dance, Rose Chypree and Lonestar are Favs. I have I minisample of In the Metro which I still don’t understand and a little dreg of Orris, which I adore.
I missed all the latest – the pentachords (except white) and Tableau de Parfums, Zeta, I don’t even know how many I missed! I am so eager to catch up!

My favourite Tauer is still his first; Le Maroc pour Elle, with Lonestar Memories a close second.

I have been pondering all afternoon which favourite female movie character I would choose. Perhaps Madame Rosa from La vie devant soi.

Thank you for hosting this, wonderful to have another Tauer giveaway.

  65. amarie121 says:

I think I have as many favorite movie characters as I do perfumes! Scarlett O’Hara for her feisty strength, Gilda for her bravado hiding her vulnerability, and Barbara Stanwyck’s character in the Lady Eve, simply because she makes me laugh!

As for Tauer, I have not yet found any that I love, but I am still purchasing samples to try, one-by-one. Perhaps the next one will be “it”!

  66. Betty_Kinkade says:
    31 October 2012 at 5:38 pm

Wonderful draw! I love Andy Tauer’s talent and sweet spirit. My favorite Tauer scent is Une Rose Chypree. It does crazy, wonderful things to me! The only one I can’t handle is Lonestar Memories, sadly. I wanted to love it, but we just don’t get along.

Favorite female movie character…always and forever Princess Leia from the original 3 Star Wars movies. As a kid, I wanted to be her when I grew up. Still can’t quite pull off that sidebun hairdo, though! :)

  72. lynne marie says:
    31 October 2012 at 8:30 pm

My favorite Tauer is Lonestar Memories. I lived out west for a few years and the fragrance perfectly captures the mix of hot asphalt, barbecue, and sage brush that I associate with the desert.

Margaret Hamilton as the Wicked Witch of the West cannot be topped!

  75. zeram1 says:
    31 October 2012 at 10:26 pm

Oh, Andy’s Orris is a beautiful rendition (or shall I say “interpretation”) of the whole notion of an iris scent. Slightly vegetal, along with being somewhat woodsy, magically blended with a great base that I can only refer to as “Andy’s signature”.

  76. hajusuuri says:
    31 October 2012 at 10:29 pm

My favorite Tauer is Zeta…but I am still working through several sample sets.

    Thanks for the generous draw!

I tried Loretta at Fragranze in Florence I really liked it. Tuberose is a difficult flower for me, but this interpretation goes beyond tuberose and totally brings you into the story of this female. I would enjoy a sample to try it again!

Hi robin, permish to use email. Have not tried any Andy Tauer yet, but my favorite female movie character would have to be Margo Channing in ‘All About Eve’. “Hang on tight, it’s going to be a bumpy ride”. Love. Her.

  79. Marjorie Rose says:

I adore “Elllie Andrews”, played by Claudette Colbert, in “It Happened One Night”. After Ellie hiked up her skirt to stop a car, Peter (Clark Gable) says: “Why didn’t you take off all your clothes? You could have stopped forty cars.”
Ellie: “Well, ooo, I’ll remember that when we need forty cars.”

  81. Lindaloo says:

Favourite Andy Tauer creation: Miriam from the Tableau de Parfums line. I love its classic vintage vibe from the aldehydic opening all the way to its gorgeous sandalwood drydown. Even though it has an elegant strength there is a wistful aspect about it too.
Now that I’ve seen the entire Women’s Picture when it was posted on Andy’s blog I appreciate even more how the perfume captures Miriam’s character. I’m intrigued to smell the very different Loretta.

Thanks for the international draw opportunity.

  82. pyramus says:
    1 November 2012 at 2:55 am

I don’t know if it’s my favourite Tauer necessarily but Miriam was fantastic, perfectly old-school without smelling dated. It’s a real accomplishment. I’d love to smell Loretta.

  83. Cynthia says:

  86. otocione2 says:
    1 November 2012 at 6:50 am

It may sound banal but I actually loved Loretta. I had the chance to smell it at Pitti fragranze, with Andy explaining it and it was jus amazing to me! I think I’d wear it even though it represents a female character.

I have always had a special love for Orange Star, and have found that Carillon has really grown on me in the last year or so. I like a lot of Tauers.. it’s hard to pick a fave! Thank-you so much for the chance to sample Loretta, BTW! Take care, all!

thanks Robin and Andy for the draw, generous as always :)
Une Rose Chypree is my absolute favourite from Andy, but can’t wait to try the Tableau series as well

I don’t have a great deal of experience with Tauer perfumes, but of those that I have tested, Miriam would have to be my favorite. I was lucky enough to get a sample of it, and I’ve been hoarding it until I am able to buy a whole bottle!

I have not smelled any of the Tableau yet, so it’d be glorious to win a sample of this one!

My favourite Tauer’s are Le Maroc Pour Elle and Incense Extreme. Le Maroc because it is unusual and stunningly evocative, and Extreme because it smells so amazing on me. It’s also refreshing and crisp as well as being bone-dry……all good qualities!

I’ve not yet had the chance to sample any Tauer or Tableau de perfumes–I’d love to!

My favorite female movie character is probably Bette Davis as Margo Channing in All About Eve. A cliche, but a fabulous one.

I haven’t tried all of them but so far my favorite is L’Air du Desert Marocain. Thanks for the giveaway!

I have not had a chance to try Tauer perfumes yet, but one of my (many) favorite female movie characters is currently Katniss from the Hunger Games.

Still haven’t tried any Tauer perfumes, or Tableau! Some favorite characters as reminded by this thread are and Ripley from Alien and the Bride from Kill Bill for sheer toughness. Also, Nausicaa from Valley of the Wind. I’m unimpressed that I can think of so few awesome, strong, leading ones. I know it should be from a movie, but Liz Lemon is a fantastic character as well.

I haven’t tried any Tauer perfumes. My favorite recent movie character (I guess more of a book character) would be Lisbeth Salander!
