That is surprisingly philosophical. I have to say that I really like this ad! (I wish I knew the original source of that quote… I’ve heard it before, but can’t seem to find a reliable answer.)

It is by Anais Nin. The quote and attribution are on the screen at the very beginning of the video, but only for a couple of seconds, and it is rather faint. If you click on the link to YouTube, it will display a little larger, but the author’s name is still hard to read.

I’ve read everything from the Talmud to John Milton to some early Christian theologian (Thomas of Aquinas?), so I have no idea what to think at this point. It seems to be a popular quote! I do like Britney’s enactment of it…

It’s probably impossible to establish an “original” source for the idea, only for the precise expression of it. I imagine some form of it has been around for thousands of years. It’s essentially saying that your perceptions of the people and things around you are influenced by your own personality, beliefs, ideas, values, and so forth.

It’s not bad, and surprised they did one at all considering it’s essentially just a repackaging of existing fragrances.

Interesting choice of song too. It’s weird to use a Goldfrapp song over something by Brtiney. Not that I’m complaining mind.

It is very strange. Perhaps this will turn out not to be the “official” version.

I find hard to believe this would be the official song when Britney is a singer herself

I believe it was spoken by Ted Kennedy at his brother, Robert’s, funeral..

    ”
Senator Ted Kennedy gave the best line of the RFK Memorial, where he quotes his brother and says some people see things and wonder why.. I dream things that never happen and wonder why not.”
