Tom Ford Noir advert

Tom Ford will launch Tom Ford Noir in October. Tom Ford Noir will be the third fragrance for men in the brand's Signature collection, after 2007's Tom Ford for Men and 2009's Grey Vetiver.

The notes include bergamot, verbena, caraway, baie rose, violet flower, black pepper, nutmeg, iris, geranium, rose, clary sage, opoponax, amber, patchouli, vetiver, civet and vanilla.

Tom Ford Noir will be available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Me to. If i dosn`t fit, I`ll sure it will be just right on my man. He is all ready regularly sporting Grey Vetiver and For Men, and there is nothing wrong with that. Looking forward to sniff the Noir juice as well!

Ha! I am sick of Tom Ford. The name Noir is so boring. I’m sure the juice is too.

I am not fond of the man (or at least, his public persona) but I do like many of the Signature scents. The Private Blend series, so far, I have not found worth the money.

Surprised he used the name Noir…agree, it’s a dull name.

Re the name which some people find dull – he is launching the “Jardin Noir” collection which is based on the fragrances of 4 night-blooming flowers within Private Blend range at same time so presume its all part of a larger “Noir” theme

But that doesn’t make it acceptable, unless you’re the type to go “Baa, baa” all day long…

I like the Tom Ford brand, and even though i think the private blends are overpriced, they smell amazing so i will probably break my rule and splurge on 1 or two at some point. Looking forward to trying this. For those complaining about the name, id much rather wear something called Noir, than see a Tom Ford for Men Summer Sport Intense.

Damn black pepper! I hope it won’t spoil the composition.
    Isn’t it the fourth?

    Robin,
He is actually a much nicer person than his public persona leads us to believe. I met him and he is very dedicated to make a change in society where archaic thinking still prevails all in the name of religion and other man made dogmas.
OK so I will step down from my soap box now and state what I really wanted to add on here :-)
He started the Oud trend and was a visionary 10 years ago. I have a feeling that he is starting the Civet trend now. Our olfactory sense will undoubtedly adjust to it when newer nice fragrances follow in his footsteps. Remember, fragrance is a sign of the time and what smelled nice decades ago can seem offensive now. Or vice versa. Hail the Civet!!

Oh, I’m sure he is! But his public persona really doesn’t agree with me at all.

Well, his image is unappealing to me, but I do think he has put some great fragrances on the market in both of his collections. Grey Vetiver is one of my favorites riffs on that note, and I’m definitely looking forward to sniffing this new one.

Very Happy !!!! I Totally adore TF, Love the bottle and so what if he is in his own advert! He is his own brand and that is that!! I admire everything he does, what he has achieved and the way he has changed mens fashion/grooming/style with his great taste in both mens and womans trending. He is to me what Co Co Chanel is to many others!!! cant wait

Is civet the ‘dirty’ note in Bal a Versailles? If so, I cant wear it :( I don’t think I find ‘dirty’ notes sexy; in fact, strangely, I find ‘clean’ notes sexy – clean as in Infusion d’ Iris, or citrus – not necessarily ‘Clean freshly ironed T-shirts ii’ clean.

It may be. The only civet I smelt that does not give the dirty sensation was in Amouage Gold Men. Civet body odor annoys me too much. Funny, you think just like me. Why would I want to smell like dirty? I use perfumes to have a different smell other than than the natural body smell. And I never let my body smell like civet! LOL.

I kinda like his aloof image and a great deal of his scents, and I admire someone who is so dedicated to taste in all things. I also am a civet fan and these notes sound great, although I wouldn’t wear a masculine. As for that ad, it’s a really unflattering photo and the airbrushing is unflattering too! Makes him look like a case of plastic surgery gone wrong

Tom Ford is a beautiful sexy man. He can do no wrong to me! He is not self-centered; he is extremely self-confident! I believe he is from Texas and well that is the way Texans come off and I LOVE IT!I will try any fragrance by Tom Ford for men or women; his sex appeal comes across in the choices of fragrance compositions he creates; Tom Ford is a delight especially those smoldering dark eyes!

Nordstrom had the tester and samples for Noir today. I have no clue when they’re getting it for purchase so yeah, sorry. Haha. It smells like his Extreme for men and his Black Violet from the Private Blends. I know I’ve smelled something just like Noir before and those 2 are what come to mind. It’s nice, very nice in my opinion, but I’ve smelled it before. I’ll have to test it some more and wait and see if I want to purchase. : )

Purchased it at Tom Ford on Madison Ave last night. They had a very nice FNO launch party for it. They also gave free mini bottles of Noir. I love it so far. A lot of patchouli and violet for sure.
