Posted by Robin on 15 November 2011 12 Comments

Avon + Christian Lacroix Nuit de Christian Lacroix

Avon has launched another collaboration with designer Christian Lacroix (see Rouge & Noir, Absynthe Her & Absynthe Him): Nuit de Christian Lacroix.

Nuit de Christian Lacroix For Women ~ developed by perfumer Carlos Benaïm. "Christian Lacroix Nuit for Her is an intoxicating and mysterious forbidden fragrance fantasy that awakens passions and excites the senses. The composition is rich oriental– floral opening with fresh notes of bergamot, neroli and honeysuckle. Sensual flowers of jasmine, tuberose and narcissus are located in the heart of the perfume, supported by the luxurious base of amber, incense, musk and woody notes." In 50 ml Eau de Parfum.

Nuit de Christian Lacroix For Men ~ Developed by perfumer Pascal Gaurin. "Christian Lacroix Nuit for Him - experience the magic of a passionate potion of rich tobacco, black violet and seductive woods. A seductive blend of bergamot, lavender and intense fresh tobacco leaves. Exudes a mysterious cypress, cardamom and black violet scent holidays ending sensual iris, wood and resin. Christian Lacroix Nuit for Him is the perfect gift for the discerning, stylish men who care about their appearance and know what they want from life." In 75 ml Eau de Toilette.

There was a fragrant page with Nuit for him in the newest Avon Catalogue I got about 1 week ago. I smelled kind of nice, though it’s not objective as it was only a page.

Liquid sample would be better to tell if it’s interesting or not

And I wish it were easier to get liquid samples of everything from Avon.

I’ve tried the first four at the Avon store near my apartment.
    I liked them all.
Nothing to be crazy about, but the bottles are nice, the design lovely, the fragrances decent and the price is right.

I think if you have to make a “His & Hers” perfume gift for christmas, this line a no-brainer. :-)

Plus, as Edina Monsoon would say “It’s Lacroix honey, LACROIX!!!” hehehehehe

AND I will try these two, but of course I expect them to be just as adequate as the first 4.

Hey, did you hear they’re going to do 3 more Ab Fab episodes next year? I can’t wait.

(Apologies if we’ve already had this conversation, I know I’ve mentioned it before around here)

I read about it! yes, I cannot wait either.

Once or twice a month, hubby snores,or trash compacting truck decides to compact at 3AM 8 floors below and wakes me up, so…

I go to youtube and watch the episodes.. you can find them typing AbFab series x, episodes xx part x

I must say that after watching the series over and over my favourites are “Hospital” where Edina goes to the hospital for a toenail problem and Patsy needs a “refresher” for an appointment with hello magazine… And “White Box” the last actual episode they made.

I LOVE Bo and Marshall I think they are too cute. :-)

Oh, but this time I can beat you: I have the Absolutely Fabulous Absolutely Everything 9 disc set, done in a little notebook covered with quilted silver lamé with a leopard-patterned ribbon place holder. LOL! Only now it will no longer be Absolutely Everything :-)

*gasp!* Jealous!!! But yes, maybe now I need to hold out for the “complete” package with the new episodes. Seriously, some of the most brilliant entertainment ever created.

Not only you have beaten me… you’ve made me feel very butch!
quilted silver lamé with a leopard-patterned ribbon place holder is too much even for me! hehehehehehe ;-)

Yes these gals make me laugh everytime.

LaMaroc, I am a huge fan, but even I didn’t know how many times I could watch these episodes over & over!

Or in “Poor”, Edie knocks Saffie for her Body Shop choices — along the lines of: “Some of us need more than oatmeal scrub from The Body Shop to be presentable — some of us can’t meet clients smelling like day-old porridge”. ;)

…three more episodes before the 2012 Olympics AND a film. I think we’ve already had the “What frags would Edie and Patsy choose?” topic, but I’m game fore another round if anyone else is.

(I hear the same thing, too, whenever I see Lacroix: “It’s Lacroix, darling — LACROIX”. Hahaha…)
