More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US.
Two from Estee Lauder — at left, the Beautiful Love Heart Solid: "Carry around your neck a heart that represents romantic love and passion. This striking pendant opens to reveal Beautiful fragrance in long-lasting solid perfume. A tender bouquet of lilies and roses, marigold and orange blossoms...all warmed with a rich, woody base and brightened with a touch of citrus. Romantic, tender, memorable." $95. At right, the Sensuous Success Solid: "This purple lock holds the key to great success. Wear it as a pendant so you can carry your favorite fragrance wherever you go. Inside find Estee Lauder Sensuous in long-lasting solid perfume. It's warm. Luminous. Feminine. Every woman wears it her way." $225. Both at Neiman Marcus.
From Acqua di Parma, a special edition of Colonia: "This special limited-edition bottle is designed by the noteworthy Italian architect and designer-turned artist, Lucca Scacchetti...Refillable, the bottle comes with a metal funnel allowing it to be re-used again and again. A perfect gift for the true Acqua di Parma Colonia aficionado." $156 for 180 ml, available for pre-order at Neiman Marcus.
And yet another from Neiman Marcus, from Hermès: Terre d'Hermès in the 121G Limited Edition: "Clothed in a brown rubber case, it plays on the contrast between its overall lightness and the density of the material. A density that echoes the perfume's intensity." $130 for the 30 ml bottle and a 125 ml refill.
From Lanvin, a special limited edition bottle of Eclat d'Arpege, in shimmering lilac with two pearls on a ribbon. In 50 ml Eau de Parfum. (via pinkmelon.de)
The Estee Lauder look ‘normal’ than the years before, when i always wondered who the hell would spend such money on such (ugly) things
You might mean the jeweled ones? They’re still doing those too:

I always love the Estee Lauder solid perfume compacts, although I have never sprung for one yet. I do wish they would let you have the perfume of your choice to go with the compact you like. I really like that purple lock and key, but Sensuous was faint and fleeting on me.
Completely agree! Seems like the compacts I really want (and can afford) never hold the scent I’m wanting.
I don’t know that I would buy a $225 compact anyway, but I would be all over that gold coin for $89 if it had Private Collection or Knowing. I have a bottle of Youth Dew that I bough back when I was all into heady, rich orientals, but I now find it a bit too much.
Exactly. I’d buy it if it had Sensuous or maybe Bronze Goddess. or one of the Private Collections.
You may already know this, but there are scores of vintage Estee Lauder perfume compacts on ebay at a wide range of prices (all far less than these new ones). If you have solids that you love in plainer containers, it might be fun to score some of the empty vintage ELs and transfer them.
Interesting, thanks — never thought to look.
Meh, that Terre d’Hermes is kinda fug. I’d prefer if they did a cedar or mahogany outer casing instead of rubber – it’d make more sense given the woody fragrance, and it’d look classier and more “Hermes”. I’ve had my fill of rubber flasks since Bulgari Black and A*Men, anyway.
They’ve done some nice bottles for that one, but yeah, this isn’t one of them!
ugh, i bought the refillable bottle of Terre last year already and i’m still not done with the 30ml (probably cause i have the 100ml still in use LOL) and now they come with one that has a snazzy rubber coating. i can’t.
and i’ve seen empty solid perfume compacts for good prices. like, 40-50 Euros.
Was that a special edition too?
Terre? yeah, the one from last year

I think the older one looks nicer!
