Jessica Simpson I Fancy You ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 20 June 2011 22 Comments

Jessica Simpson I Fancy You perfume

Jessica Simpson will launch a new fragrance for women, I Fancy You, at the end of June. I Fancy You follows 2008's Fancy, 2009's Fancy Love and 2010's Fancy Nights. I Fancy You "celebrates the moment we discover what it means to be in love", and will reportedly be the last fragrance in the Fancy collection.

I Fancy You is a floral musk developed by perfumer Cecile Hua; notes include Fuji apple, pear, bergamot, lily of the valley, tuberose, hyacinth, sandalwood and pink musk.

Jessica Simpson I Fancy You will be available in 50 and 100 ml, concentration unknown.

It does sound a bit safe and boring. And teenybopper-ish. But I’m definetly going to try it (om my precious skin that is). I love both Fancy and Fancy nights and consider them both much much better then your ordinary celebrity scents.

She has done a better job than most, I do think.

OK, I’m lost. Who in the world is Jessica Simpson? I haven’t been following the news from the Large Hadron Collider recently, so is she one of those physicists searching for evidence of the Higgs boson? Or is she a Republican running for President? (I haven’t been following that either.)

She is a singer, and that is the grand total of what I know about her — she is one of many celebrities that I would know nada about if she hadn’t started launching perfumes.

Jessica was wed to Nick Lachey, from boyband 98 Degrees.
They starred on a reality show called “newlyweds”…On that reality show, she had some truly hilarious moments …

She thought that “Buffalo Wings” were actually made from buffalo..
“‘Jessica, you want some buffalo wings?’ ‘Sorry I don’t eat buffalo.'”

And that the word “camaraderie” means “accolade”….

It was fun to watch… but sometimes it was like watching a train derail in slow motion… terrible and sad yet you cannot take your eyes out of the screen

I do love the buffalo wings story! Thanks.

A lot of that stuff on Nick and Jessica was “scripted.” I am not sure how smart she is in real life but I don’t think she is quite as dumb as they made her appear on that supposed reality show.

In any case, Jessica Simpson is doing real well with her clothing line especailly with handbags and shoes I think. She is a singer by trade but the truth is she does not have to sing another note for the rest of her life if she doesn’t want to. She is making mega bucks with her fashion line.

Ok, I realize I am 5 years late to the party but I love this perfume. It just meshes well with my chemistry I guess. But, I’ll get to the point. Jessica was what every girl in high school wanted to look like. I mean, everybody watched the Dukes of Hazzard back in my day and she was in the “new and improved” D.O.H. We all ran out to buy SHORT jean shorts that barely covered our tushie! She also starred in this hilarious movie called “Employee of the Month”. She also does a lot of volunteer work for the troops overseas in the USO tour and she started the charity Operation Smile. Um, ok. I’ll admit it, I’m a fan!

I love Fancy Nights and bought a full bottle – haven’t tried any of the others yet. I will test drive this when I see it but the pear scares the crap out of me as that is a note that generally is a deal breaker for me!

Fancy Nights was pretty good. I thought Fancy was pretty good too.

Fancy was pretty good; a lot better than most celebri-scents. I was surprised.

As dense as JS appears to be, she is making an incredible fortune from her clothing line. More than $100 million, I read.

This, however….Fuji apple and pear is a big NO to me.

As fruits available at my local market? Yes! To marinate in as a perfume? NO!

Oh sorry, did not see your comment before I made mine above.

Yes, Simpson’s supposed net worth is around $100 million and her fashion line supposedly makes over a billion a year or at least that is what I have read. Not bad for a supposed dummy! :)

    The last one? Promise?

Seriously, she’s a perfectly nice singer but none of these Fancy scents have tickled mine. I’ve had a strong negative reaction to all of them, actually, which is sad because they’re quite reasonable.

^The last fragrance in the FANCY line. Definitely the last Jessica Simpson. I listened in on the Parlux conference call and she makes them a lot of money.

Smelled this at Macy’s 2 or 3 days ago. Smelled just like Apple Bottoms/Love and Luck by Ed Hardy but a tad lighter. Didn’t spray it on my skin

I wonder if all her fragrances are still tasteable?
And am I the only one who gets confused with the different colours musc? is pink musc sweeter than, say, white musc?

Jessica sure is in love with love. All of her fragrances are love themed. Also, parlux said Fancy Nights didn’t sell so they whisked it out of Macy’s stores and are rushing this one into stores

At least “I Fancy You” has a better name than “Fancy Nights”. It could sell better just because of the name change.

Maybe they will add it to the lickable form?
