Justin Bieber Someday ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 20 May 2011 32 Comments

Justin Bieber Someday

Justin Bieber will launch his first prestige perfume (as you might remember, he has already gotten his toes wet with scented dogtags), Someday, in June. The fruity gourmand scent is geared towards teenagers. According to the teen popstar, "...creating a fragrance that I personally love is another way I can bring [my fans] closer to my world".

Someday was  developed by perfumer Honorine Blanc, and a portion of the proceeds will go to charity. I will update with the notes when I can.

Justin Bieber Someday will be available in 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum ($25-55) and in matching body products. (via wwd)

Update: the notes include mandarin, pear, wild berries, jasmine, creamy florals, vanilla and soft musks.

I have to admit that’s an adorable bottle.

Yes, it is indeed. However, it reminds me very much of the Lola bottle.

You’re right, although I sort of like this one better. Of course, I’ve only seen photos in both cases.

A shameless copy! But cute, all the same.

Now I know what to get my thirteen year old sister for her birthday……thank you Justin!
And as for the scent something tells me it’s not going to be so original!

It won’t need to be original, just wearable :-)

Justin, you precious creature, I don’t think I want to be any “closer to your world”. Especially not if your world smells like a fruity floral.

For some reason I feel like this is the bottle’s good angle. I think the flower could look pretty weird from the top. But from the good angle, it is very pretty!

Well, in “his world” one need scented dogtag. Must be pretty weird, there…

I happen to like this kid (not that anyone said that they didn’t) and I think that some of the proceeds going to charity is a great idea. These celebs make enough money off of these fragrances….it’s like they don’t really have to do anything else. So, maybe it will be a good chunk going to charity. *taps chin* maybe I can use it as an air freshener…just to support the cause.

You make a good point. Now who can I buy it for? My nieces are more Harajuku Lovers kind of girls.

No! Targeted towards teenagers…hah! We perfumistas do smell a blatant Lola rip-off bottle but I too like this one better. I suppose the tween market needed this. Justin is cute and yay! Canadian.

I like that bottle but it kind of looks like a component of a Judy Chicago dinner setting.

Maybe that’s the point: it’s subliminal in some weird way to attract young girls. (Teenage girls in the”flower” of their youth.) Perhaps Georgia O’Keeffe would have liked the bottle top too.

1… Hate Beiber… so this could be the 2nd coming of Chanel No.5 and I wouldn’t even accept money to sniff it… and

2… as totally UN-ORIGINAL as Justin is, he proves it even more by shamelessly aping the Lola Bottle… DISGUSTING!

Nordstrom is going to carry this. Oh my. At least some of the proceeds are going to charity. I give him that. I won’t ever need to test it myself. Haha. http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/justin-bieber-someday-eau-de-parfum/3198113?origin=category&resultback=2612

I found a scent strip of this in a magazine and (gasp!) I think I’m going to have to try it when it arrives in-store. It seems to be a dead ringer for Electric Youth, one of my first loves. I won’t need a full bottle, a rollerball will do. Now, if I can just get my hands on a bottle of Tinkerbell…

Actually, I received a free sample of this at the mall last weekend and thought it was AWFUL… I didn’t get any Electric Youth (also one of my first loves!), but I also wasn’t looking for it- maybe there’s a resemblance that would make me less grossed out. But this was over-the-top sickly fruity candy (and I even like fruitchoulis when done well!).

Robin have you dared to try this?! Haha! It’s some SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET stuff! I was like, oh my will this KILL Robin if she trys it? Cuz if that’s the case, I don’t want you going anywhere near it! Haha! My mom screamed bloody muder when I shoved it in her nose! Haha! Thankfully, she survived. As did I. Haha. : )

It *is* sweet, but still, it was better than I expected given the guy’s age and the age of the target market.

But I don’t need to ever smell it again.

yeah the bottle is trying to look like Marc Jacobs Lola. Lola looks better, so if they did this perfume in Lola bottles I might just buy it haha.

I tried this today in Debenhams and I don’t even know where the top is. I don’t think the flowery thing on top is all one, I think they’re layers.

anyway I managed to spray it and I thought it was Britney Spears Fantasy for the first 2seconds, then it turned even sweeter! if possible.
this is so sweet and sugary I don’t know if even I can handle this(and I LOVE sweet), it is a LOT nicer than Fantasy though. there’s not nearly as much tackiness as Fantasy.

but I think only Justin Bieber’s target audience will wear this, teenage girls. my friend wants this like her life depends on it, she loves Justin Bieber just as much as I love Lady Gaga(I’d die for her). and she’s going on for 17 so that’s understandable. can’t wait for Gaga’s perfume launch though!
