New scented dog tag designs from Justin Bieber

Posted by Robin on 1 April 2011 38 Comments

Justin Bieber dog tags

Pop star Justin Bieber has added two new designs to his collection of dog tags and bracelets infused with his "My World" fragrance (bergamot, lychee, pomegranate, cedar and musk).

The two new designs, One Less Lonely Girl (shown above) and Never Say Never, will be available at CVS and FYE, or can be ordered now at Etoile Nation, $10 each.

Coming soon, custom "white gold dog tags with black diamonds", around $100.  (quote via etoilenation, found via wwd)

How long must these last? $10 is actually kind of a lot for something that might only be scented for a day or two. I have to wonder.

And the $100 one is just crazy. I guess they’re ‘real’ diamonds? (Black diamonds are always irradiated to get the colors I believe.)

No idea. I thought $10 was pretty reasonable when I first heard about them, but now that I’ve seen them, I don’t know. Maybe $5 is more like it.

I remember when this site posted the announcement that this product is forthcoming. I had not anticpated that the actual design would be quite so, so,… undesirable
Would any girl really want to wear a dog tag calling herself a lonely lass.

And she’s certainly no less lonely for wearing a Justin dog tag. I think these are just awful.

No, you see she’s no longer lonely because Justin is now with her wherever she goes!

(sticks finger in mouth and makes gagging sounds)

I think it might be considered lightly ironic and ‘cute’.

Oh, I dunno…I am trying to rememebr back to being 12 years old; I’d have probably swooned over something that was pink or purple and had Shaun Cassidy or Leif Erikson’s face on it, especially if it was scented!

Yeah, but you wouldn’t have had to pay $10 for it. It would have come as a freebie in Tiger Beat. lol

You probably would have wanted a poster (or, depending on your age, a screen saver), not something you’d have worn in front of boys, and not one declaring yourself to have been so lonely.

When I was 12 I had this crush on Jason Priestly, or at least on his character in Bev 90210. I think he was called Bradley. I had a little book with a picture of him in it: the photo had got his eyes to look like glorious green jewels that made me swoon. Still, wouldn’t have worn it round my neck!

I remember too, but for an entirely different reason. That was the name I had picked out for my son, until that show ruined it. Fortunately, I never had a son anyway. 😀

You didn’t want your son named after a spoiled Beverly Hills teenager – I don’t get it!

BTW, does anyone remember Tony DeFranco (heartbeat, it’s a lovebeat….) I believe he sang w/ his sisters….This would be circa 1974/5 maybe?
My 11 year old girlfriend and I both swore we would name our sons after him. I do remember we named some stuffed animals “Tony” in his honor.
I did name my actual son Colton in case anyone was wondering, LOL. But do you remember how PASSIONATE we were about everything back then?

Oh, yes, I do remember! And Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods and the Bay City Rollers.

Lord have mercy, I think I need to quite sneering at the Bieberettes….

BB–Your comment about passion makes me giggle! Not because it isn’t true, but it sounds as if this is something you haven’t needed to think about for a while?

I, on the other hand, teach 7th grade, so I know probably 100 girls who’d be happy to have one of these, and a fair number of boys who’d hide one somewhere in their rooms! The passion (and drama) of 12/13 year-olds is part of my daily life!

I just hope that this doesn’t smell absolutely awful, cuz I guarantee I’ll be sniffing it (not by choice, mind you)!

    Wow, not a joke…(thanks Robin!)
Thank goodness I just have the son, not daughters clamoring for these. Breathesgelatin is right, I’d think…how long could the “scent” possibly last?

We used to have strawberry smelling pens (the plastic being scented, not the ink). They smelled strongly for a couple of years and you could still detect it well after that. I also have a 10+ year old “chocolate moose” giant soft toy that came with an area of chocolate scent on its nose and it’s still going strong! Seems amazing that the scents can last so long.

Way more interesting had the scent and dog tag image been of young Mr. Bieber’s dog.
Surely there’s a sexy, under-appreciated, sweet smelling dog somewhere in his entourage.

For a minute I thought these were for dogs! (I’m old – my granddaughter is closer to the age of a Bieberite than I am, alas )… well, they’re innocuous enough, considering some of the weirdness that’s out there for kids today.

    xo

When I first saw the whole ‘dog-tag’ thing here I also though it was for dogs! I was excited at getting something nice for Rufous. Mind you, his natural smell is so good…

this is just ridiculous, I mean dogs don’t even like perfume (well my dog doesn’t) why would they want it dangling under their nose?

and dog tags get scratched and battered so why would anyone other than Paris Hilton pay like £60-70 for one?

stupid idea, they will probably just smell like car air-freshener anyway.
I know dogs smell, but I’d rather my dog smell of natural doginess than air-freshener.

I guess it’s suppossed to make the dog smell nice? it will make it smell worse if it hasn’t been bathed because the two scents will mix into a worse smell. like not having a shower when your all sweaty then putting deodorant on. yuck.

however, I am interested in the Juicy Couture perfume for dogs LOL
which still wouldn’t work but oh well. and it’s not available in the UK as far as I know.

They’re not for dogs. The term dog tags refers to ID tags worn around the neck, and started in the military

For all those thinking it only lasts a couple days. No it lasts a couple years. I have the musk. It smells really good and it says one less lonely girl as in hes taken you.
