Christian Dior Aqua Fahrenheit ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 1 February 2011 8 Comments

Christian Dior Aqua Fahrenheit

Christian Dior has launched Aqua Fahrenheit, a new fragrance for men hoping to evoke the explosive moment when fire and water meet. Aqua Fahrenheit is a flanker to 1988′s Fahrenheit fragrance for men, and follows other recent variations on the theme such as 2007′s Fahrenheit 32 and 2009's Fahrenheit Absolute.

The notes for Aqua Fahrenheit include citrus, grapefruit, mandarin, violet, mint, vetiver, leather and woods.

Christian Dior Aqua Fahrenheit is available in 75 and 125 ml Eau de Toilette. (via puretrend, profumeriasilvia)

Still waiting to try the fahrenheit Absolute.

Speaking of Aqua, I also saw that Bvlgari had two more coming out, Aqva Toniq, and Aqva Marine Toniq. They are on my try list as well.

I never tried the Absolute either. Did see the 2 new Bvlgari scents. Haven’t liked their last few but will give them a shot…

Absolute starts with spices and only at the final stages I could detect the original Fahrenheit smell. It´s less strong and the sillage isn’t as good as the old brother’s. I stay with the original one. There was a summer version with red fruits tha was so good.

Farenheit used to be my husband’s absolute favorite fragrance. That is until they redid it. I finally made the comment to him that it just did not smell the same as it used to (1995 vs. today.) He said that he recognized it as well. Just to be sure I wasn’t being speculative, I picked up The Guide and they echoed my finding. I don’t think he’ll like this since he doesn’t care for anything with a marine twist to it.

I THOUGHT THEY REFORMULATED IT! It just doesn’t have that Diesel Fuel Like PUNCH that the original had! :-) Have to admit, for a reformulation it is still pretty damn awesome! i am going to have to get a bottle of Absolute and try this new one as well.. this sounds so Nice! like something right up my Alley!
