Bunch o’ limited edition collector bottles 2010, part 16

Posted by Robin on 28 September 2010 20 Comments

More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US.

From Thierry Mugler, a 100 ml bottle of A*Men with a wearable leather bracelet (shown above left). For the women, Angel in 10 ml Extrait de Parfum with Swarovski crystals. For some reason the ‘wearable leather bracelet’ made me laugh.
Robin, did you forget the ‘boxing lessons available’ option?
Would probably buy it if I didn’t already have a bottle, but to quote
Elaine Benes ‘I don’t like jewelry on men.’

That Nick Mount piece is a really fine piece of glass.

It’s unusual. Wonder if the part that actually hold the perfume can be removed from the base?

Yeah, that base bit is a bit confusing to me.

It is really striking, isn’t it. I love that piece myself.

That TM Angel extrait bottle is so pretty and sparkly…it really appeals to my inner-crow…..I can’t imagine how hard it would be to hold….and I don’t care for Angel….so I’d be happy with an EMPTY one to set on my dresser. (I suppose TM doesn’t go for that idea!) 😉

If you have an inner crow, TM is your brand, LOL…

Oh I DO have an inner crow….unfortunately I don’t much care for TM fragrances….so then you’d think I’d really go for those Bond no9 bottles with all the crystals…but they’re just tacky…and worse: they’re filled with Bond no9 !!! (blerg)

I have to confess I went for the Chinatown Crystallized. Of course it helps that I really *love* Chinatown. 😉

And I do love Angel, but am afraid to see how much this costs…

Chinatown is the exception–I love Chinatown. Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately) Chinatown was the very first Bond I tried….it quickly went downhill after that though. Had I tried another (iccky) Bond first, I might never have tried Chinatown and missed out on it’s spicy floral goodness. 🙂

I really like the bird – would be a fun addition to my rather staid collection – but I’m not a Pleasures fan. Hard to justify the $$ if I’m never wearing the perfume.

Those Angel people never get it wrong. One of these days, I’ll have to finally get a bottle. I could care less for Swarovski crystals, though. So….

Yeah, I really see myself wearing that A*Men bracelet. Good grief.

I was really trying to think of who would wear that, and all I came up with was Vince Neil of Motley Crue. In 1986.

Someday I need to get some fancy-dancy version of Angel. I liked the Liqueur bottle, too, but have never been able to smell it.

    I kinda want that bird.

The glass is beautiful – but I wish I had some idea of the concept behind it… Looks like it is illuminated from below…

I have fallen in love with that Angel bottle *sigh*. And that Nick Mount piece is beautiful — but I’d be too afraid I’d somehow manage to break both parts to even contemplate wishing for it.
