Posted by Robin on 29 July 2010 56 Comments

Britney Spears Radiance perfume

Britney Spears will launch Radiance, her latest perfume for women, in August.

Radiance is a white floral fragrance, and was developed by perfumers Honorine Blanc and Harry Fremont. The notes include wild berries, petals, tuberose, jasmine, orange blossom, iris, cashmere woods, amber and musk.

Britney Spears Radiance will be available in 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum and in 10 ml Rollerball. Matching body products will also be sold. (via moodiereport)

I don’t think Radiance when I think Britney Spears. In fact, it always seems like the names of her frags are rather the opposite of her image at the time, save for Circus, which felt quite appropriate. ;) But who am I kidding? I’ll smell this. I do love all twenty minutes of Curious on my skin…

“Radiance” is not a word I associate with Spears, either. Google “britney spears weave crate barrel” (without the quotes) and prepare to be horrified. It looks like she rubbed Nair and Krazy Glue into her scalp.

Also, that bottle is what would happen if the bottles for Curious and Ungaro Apparition had gross dirty sex with each other and then regretted it.

It is definitely not my favorite bottle from BS. I liked the Believe bottle, but I think that one did not sell.

I like the fantasy bottles (except the colour of midnight)
and no, believe didn’t sell. one of my friends wears nothing else but Britney fragrances and she wouldn’t buy believe she said it was disgusting. I haven’t smelled believe so I don’t know.

I would be afraid to google Britney and most words, I think. Bless her heart; she seems to have really gone off the deep end since my niece adored her some years back.
I like those sizes though! Wish there were more 30 ml bottles on offer (Chanel, I’m talking to you).
What is going on with the way the full moon is aligned with her rather prominent derriere in that photo?

I guess you mean Chanel’s Exlusifs? Sigh. Yes, there will be a crazy party for days and days on NST if ever some – any – of them come out in 30mls. Still, there are some 35mls in some of the Chanel fragrances. And No 5 Eau Premiere has come out in 40mls – that is real progress. I often think that those 75 and 150 ml bottles of EP were marketed not at perfumistas but husbands, sons, fathers etc who need to buy presents – something classy and expensive, but safe, and which will last until the next Christmas or birthday. Spend 10 minutes at the Chanel counter on 24 December and you are bound to see these men of action!

    but “petals”?

Britney really does not “do” Elegant well, does she? Bless her little redneck heart.

I used to like her music, I admit. And The CEO, a sucker for perky buxom blondes, says of her, “She’s so… *talented.* And she can sing, too.” In all seriousness, I do really hope she matures and gets her personal life together – she’s got those sweet little boys to bring up, and appears not to have a clue how to do it. I worry about them.

Poor Britney. I think there’s way too much of this kind of thing, but I will admit that I didn’t absolutely hate her first couple of fragrances. I have a friend who wears them, and she makes it work. There’s something for everyone, I guess.

Hmmm. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that that bottle is rad. It would look like a drag queen in my demure bottle collection, but drag queens are fun! They remind me to be fabulous ;)

I’m going to find this plasticky treasure, and give it a sniff!

I’m curious about this. Based on the notes I was expecting it to smell like Escada Moon Sparkle crossed with Britney’s signature cupcake accord, but the mention of tuberose caught my eye. Now I have my fingers crossed for a Moon Sparkle blueberry bubblegum cupcake shot through with a tuberose-wintergreen JAR Bolt of Lightning? It could happen.

I honestly have no opinion on this though. How many has she had now, and who is winning the launch race, her or Paris?

Britney has done more flankers, Paris more pillar fragrances. I thought Paris had 10 and this was BS’s 8th, but see below— perhaps I am missing one. (I don’t count Curious Heart because it was just a collector bottle)

I love Britney and am so excited to add a new perfume to my collection! I have her Curious, Fantasy, and Believe perfumes. The only thing I hate is when she has to have 100 of the same variations. Like for example her Fantasy perfumes. I have the original, but I don’t care about the other hundred kinds. Like Midnight Fantasy, Hidden Fantasy, Circus Fantasy. J.lo did that too. She’s had like 100 kinds of glow. Only difference: Glow stinks in any flavor. Do enjoy her Live and Still tho. LOVE PERFUME!
Actually I’m wearing Britney’s Believe right now. Such a fan u know.

brit likes the white flower variety..i must say this is difference fragrance for her it shows maturity and is quite different to other past juices. Bottle actually looks great filled with juice as it sparkles the different colours from the bottle. It is nice on the skin and last quite well suprisingly. Radiance is to show that no matter what you go through in life you can find within you a time to rafiate again..this was the inspiration for her fragrance..enjoy it is really nice

I got to finally test Radiance at Kohls today and it was fine. I don’t love it at all but I don’t hate it either. I like it more than Curious, Midnight Fantasy and Circus Fantasy but it is definitely not my favorite from her. It reminded me of Pure Orchid and Pure Bloom which probably means you won’t care for it too much Robin. LOL! Oh well I guess. I will get me the rollerball but I definitely won’t be needing a full bottle of it. Well at least not a 3.4oz. It is Britney so I do have to have it no matter what. Anyone care for another Fantasy? I sure do! LOL! : )

I finally managed to find a tester of this at Ulta the other day, and was disappointed to find that it smelled really similar to Twilight Woods from Bath and Body Works…..not that I didn’t like it–it’s just that I was hoping it would be something unique that I didn’t already have, because I really love Radiance’s bottle, and would have loved to have it sitting on my dresser… ;)
