Bunch o’ limited edition collector bottles 2010, part 5

Posted by Robin on 9 March 2010 21 Comments

More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US.

Terre d'HermesGiorgio Armani Acqua di Gio 2010 Scuba edition

From Hermès, Terre d'Hermès in a limited edition 100 ml Eau de Toilette decorated with an H. €76.50. (via sfilate.it)

From Giorgio Armani, Acqua di Gio in the 2010 Scuba edition (you can see the 2009 version here): "With its unique, water-filled design, this limited-edition bottle captures the true aquatic essence of the fragrance inside." The 200 ml Eau de Toilette is $95 at Dillards.

Armani Code Casino edition

And also from Giorgio Armani at Dillards, the Armani Code Casino edition, with 125 ml Eau de Toilette for men + a deck of playing cards. $70.

From Estee Lauder, a compact to celebrate "50 years of innovation, style and luxury" with Harrods. It's filled with solid perfume in the Beautiful fragrance. 300 were made, and they're £200 at Harrods.

From Hanae Mori, the Hanae Mori Butterfly Solid Perfume Ring: "The fragrance is a rare blend of berries and flowers, with a distinctive tone of strawberries and almond, giving an impression of vanilla. This Sephora exclusive ring is an approximate size 7, the butterfly measures 0.75" in diameter, and comes in a signature gift box." $39.

That Acqua di Gio bottle is… well, it’s either Nutcase, or the Coolest Thing Ever. I think I like it.

I’m not sure what it is. I have a feeling the “water” is part of the outer packaging??

I expect to see plastic fish in there. 😉

When you turn the bottle upside down, there should be bobbles of perfume oil that turn a little mill wheel and go down chutes toward the bottom…

Or at the very least a mermaid whose scallop shell bikini top disappears.

It would be an extra $25 with plastic fish.

I think it would be better with plastic fish, too. Makes me think of the platform shoes in “I’m Gonna Get You, Sucka.” 🙂

“He’s got little fish in his shoes!”. LOL We used to watch that film at least twice a week when we were kids! Who would have thought it could have found it’s way referenced in a limited edition perfume bottle post?

I like it. Also like the Hermes for some reason.

Does it come with a mechanized stand that gently rocks the bottle back and forth? Slosh, slosh?

I like it too, although I wouldn’t wear the juice if you paid me.

Figures that, for its limited edition, my favorite scent on this list gets…a pack of cards. Thanks, Giorgio.

Yeah, not too exciting. Luckily my favorite is the Terre d’Hermes — that’s a nice bottle.
