The first thing that came into my mind: It looks like a short shot of the video of Coco with Vanessa Paradise you posted lately.

yes, I thought the same thing! But I’d prefer the one with Vanessa – it’s more playful and artistic.

It is much more subtle than I would have imagined, so I have to give it that. Is the woman in the hoop Kim Kardashian? I don’t even know what she looks like.

Me too :) I’ve checked in Wikipedia, looks like her.

Yes. This one (sorry to her fans) lacks humor or imagination.

Totally agree. The only thing this ad and the one for Coco have in common is the woman on a bird perch; the KK one is played suffocatingly straight, while the Chanel one has a wicked humor.

    I smelled a sample in a magazine……smells Gardenia-ish….like Michael Kors a bit. I’ll pass on this one.

It was very subtle but it could of been a much better commercial it was like it lacked a soul.I heard that her favorite fragrance is Michael Kors perfhaps this explains it.At this point I am glad the bottle is not pink.LOL Yeah it totally reminds me of the Vanesa Coco ad but, this doesn’t look like Kim.Its her but doesn’t look like her.

Thinking they did not spend a lot of money (or creative energy) on this.

I totally agree one shot was the picture on the ad.They killed two birds with one stone. They could of put more money into that commercial.Do you remeber the Christiana commercial that had humor and personality to it.The fragrance didn’t work for me but the commercial was much better than this.

I have to admit, I like ads like this that more or less work with some aesthetic of old Hollywood glamour rather than Paris Hilton tacky-mermaid. The whole marketing concept is, on the whole I think, better done and more elegant than a lot of recent launches.

See, and if I’m going to watch a low budget commercial, I find Paris Hilton in a mermaid outfit much more entertaining than this. At least it makes me laugh!

Ha! I could see what you mean, but the attempt to put this one in a much less tacky bottle and so forth makes me feel like it might be somewhat more worthy of sniffing!

As I’ve said before, I don’t know anything much about Lighthouse Beauty…the only scent they’ve done so far is Power by 50 Cent. Parlux is the devil I know, LOL…

Yes, I agree that I find this more appealing than the Beyonce ad that was posted earlier. They both lack imagination and humor as said above, but at least this one recalls some classic Hollywood vibe, as you said Joe. I agree that neither hold a candle to the Chanel ad, however.

Mwah. I’m more bored by it than anything. Looks like they shot a few gratuitous frames at the promotional photo shoot to have two for the price of one. And the porny voice-over puts me to sleep.

The voice says “scent” while the printed ad we’re shown says “fragrance”. A small thing, but why not make the two the same? And is her torso (waist) photoshopped much?

I don’t know what she looks like well enough to say if they photoshopped her to death!
