Escada Desire Me ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 16 August 2009 46 Comments

Escada Desire Me fragrance

Escada has launched Desire Me, a new fragrance for women:

Desire Me is the new seductive fragrance from the House of ESCADA.

Following the success of the brand’s hit fragrance Incredible Me, one of the must-have perfumes of 2008, Desire Me is a fabulously provocative addition to the ‘Me’ collection.

Building on the edible base note of Tiramisu in the original Incredible Me fragrance, Desire Me has added emphasis on the rich chocolate, orchid and honeysuckle floral notes to create a scent that is even more mysterious and sensual.

Desire Me is the ultimate secret of seduction...

I will update with the complete list of fragrance notes when I can find them.

Escada Desire Me is available in 30, 50 and 75 ml Eau de Toilette. (via escada-fragrances

only smelled this from the bottle, not on skin (yet?). VERY sweet. and i’m usually a lover of all things candy and gourmand. maybe it’ll be better on my skin?

i’ll try it next week on skin i guess haha.

I still haven’t tried Incredible Me! Did you like that one, if you tried it?

that, on the other hand, was like…… it’s sweet, but i always expected it to become sweeter. it was like… a bomb i expected to go off, but never did. not as sweet as i’d like it to be. and i LOVE Vera Wang’s Princess. just for reference lol.

Does anyone know when this hits stores? (Preferable online, or in Canada)
      Thank you! ^_^

It is already released, but don’t know when (or if) it will make it to the US or Canada.

I really don’t know. I don’t think I saw Incredible Me in any brick n mortar stores in the US, although I know some of the discounters have it.

The bottle looks like someone mooning you. (That said, it’s lovely).

I think it’s pretty. Now I see the mooning though.

That is totally exactly what I thought, too. It’s the perfume world’s equivalent of photocopying your butt on a slow day at the office!

    I want to drink it:

Desire Me continues the fragrant story of Incredible Me. It seduces with a charming composition of luminous bitter-sweet citruses and accentuates juiciness of mandarin which pulsates embraced by essences of a heart, which are dominant and united with peony and fresh green leaves.

Fresh green floral notes leave a feminine trace along with a mysterious, exotic and fruity blend of aromas. A base is characterized by gourmand elements: tiramisu, coffee, cookies, special aromas of cheese-cake, as well as opulent nuances of dark chocolate, which contribute to warmth and sensuality on the skin for a long time.

CHEESECAKE?! Sorry, but nothing even remotely reminiscent of cultured dairy products is going to be sprayed on my skin.

Sorry for the snark. I read “chocolate” in the notes, and it’s automatically Off My List.

I’m with you … chocolate scares me, unless it’s pretty subtle, a la Covet.

I’m firmly in the no-chocolate-in-perfume camp (but I will concede Covet is wearable).

It is very sweet. Robin, if you want, I could send you two vial samples, I got two on a card. I didn’t open it, because I already smelt it in the store. I do not know if there are any problems with customs, as I do not live in the USA.

That’s kind, but wouldn’t want you to go to the bother — doesn’t sound like I’ll like it!

Have a feeling this will be way too sweet for me … could possibly be a good comfort scent though, but it doesn’t necessarily sound like that’s what they’re going for …

The name sounds kind of desperate, imaging buying “Desire Me” for yourself — i.e. will it make it you more “desirable”? Or your SO giving you a bottle of “Desire Me”???

It’s the same bottle as Incredible Me, which I’ve managed not to smell so far…so I guess I’d say the same ;-)

I wonder what other “additions to the ‘Me’ collection” they’ll come out with? “Fabulous Me”? “Omniscient Me”? “Perfect Me”? Or they could always go with “Gift Me”, “Praise Me”, “Worship Me”,

The opening is very very sweet (too sweet for me), I can definitely smell the pear. The dry down is still sweet, but not so sweet as in the opening. I find it as with Angel and Narciso Rodriguez for her, it is like I can’t breath.
