Posted by Robin on 24 June 2008 20 Comments

Escada Incredible Me perfume

Escada will launch Incredible Me, a new fragrance for women fronted by Lydia Hearst, this coming September. The "intercultural" scent is meant to fuse Asian exoticism with the energy of the western world.

Incredible Me is a vanillic oriental with notes of clementine, honeysuckle, orchid, tiramisú, vanilla and sandalwood.

Escada Incredible Me will be available in 50 and 75 ml Eau de Parfum. (via fraganciasycosmeticos.es, douglas.de) Update: the tag line for Incredible Me is "girls just want to have fun", and the scent was inspired by tiramisú. It will also be available in 30 ml and in matching body products. (via cosmoty.de)

Strange Invisible Perfumes Musc Botanique perfumeAlso coming in September, Musc Botanique, a new unisex fragrance from Strange Invisible Perfumes. Perfumer Alexandra Balahoutis noted:

"I wanted to do something clean that also had that subtle animalistic quality," she said of the fragrance, adding, "You can't really draw that line between the person and the perfume."

Musc Botanique features notes of geranium, white amber, angelica and frankincense, and is meant to be layered or worn alone.

Strange Invisible Perfumes Musc Botanique will be available in 7.5 ml Parfum ($185) or 50 ml Eau de Parfum ($135). (via wwd) Update: see a review of Strange Invisible Perfumes Musc Botanique.

Tiramisu? That's making me nervous. And the bottle, from here, does not look like it'll do much for me.

But really, tiramisu? I can't imagine wanting to smell like coffee and ladyfingers and cream and liqour, in addition to the other notes.

The description of the notes of “Incredible Me” triggered an image of “L'Instant Magic” de Guerlain. Wonder why …

A bit of creamy coffee would be ok with me, if it isn't overly sweet. Don't know what the launch plans are for this though. Escada S didn't even make it to the US, I don't think.

With the Escada frag, I'm more interested in the red dress than the fragrance!

The Musc Botanique looks interesting, with the animalic note.

It'd probably end up sweeter than we'd hope. I wonder if they think that's a selling point? Maybe I'm just not the norm. I can't imagine citrus and coffee doing well together. We'll find out.

Incidently, I got my Vogue today (way behind newsstands, to my dismay). I don't know if you got this, but there are 900ml flacons of Chanel No 5 parfum for sale starting September (Saks only, apparently). You'd have to decant with a turkey baster. xD Just thought you might wanna hunt this down, if you haven't already.

900 ml, LOL! That will be quite the Christmas gift.

Well, they do put a squitchel of lemon peel out with the espresso, or they used to, in my neighborhood.

How out of the loop am I? Am I imagining it, or is the bottom of another celebrity barrel being scraped to come up with…. Patty Hearst's daughter? Huh? Who are these people? And that security hunk she hooked up with? What does this girl have that would make me want to buy her perfume?

Well, tiramisu means pick-me-up in Italian, so it's coffee and ladyfingers all around. I'll stick with Chanel No. 5, given the choice, which I obviously am.

Considering I love everything Escada makes by default, I can't wait to smell this!
And, yeah, too bad S never made it over here 🙁

SIP seems like it could work for me. Do the perfumes come in sprayers or dabbers/splash? Thanks!

I think she is just a model — not used for the “star power”, or at least, not so far as I know.

The EdPs are spray, the Parfums are splash.

On the 900ml It seems kind of weird – at a time when people are wanting to downsize a bit, that Chanel would come out with bigger, not smaller. And I don't care how much money you have – it would take years to use all of that. Perhaps it's for folks who simply like SIZE over everything else? Huh.

And isn't it irritating when your Vogue sub. comes AFTER the newstand release? That used to happen to me a lot. I canceled my sub, then when I renewed it (after complaining) it never happened again.

Coffee, cream, ladyfingers, citrus and …….?? The Escada sounds like an olfactory nightmare.

    xo

You know, I'm taking a wild guess here but I'm thinking they aren't going to make very many 900 ml bottles — probably more of a PR thing than not. You know, re-affirming their luxury status.

I am down to 2 magazines now…and Vogue isn't one of them so I've no such complaints 🙂

Bizarrely, Escada has released their annual coffret set of mini-bottles again this year, and it has both S and Incredible Me in it. It also has Into The Blue and Moon Sparkle. The bottles are 0.25oz, except Moon Sparkle which is 0.13, and it is $32. If there are any left after Christmas, I will probably buy one just because I want to smell S and Incredible so much.

I saw that one, plus another coffret that was just the “resort” LEs.
