I am more than a star…

Rapper Common for Diesel Only The Brave. There's also another version starring Tony Ward Update: my mistake, that isn't Tony Ward and I don't know who it is! Thanks to Kevin for pointing out the error.

I don’t know much of his music but I think Common is really an attractive man. :D That bottle is just really unattractive to me but it’s hard to be original in this game.

I don’t know of him at all, & not sure the commercial itself made me any more interested. Kind of like the other one (the Tony Ward, although I don’t know him either) better.

I’m pretty sure Common has spoken out about homophobic and sexist lyrics in hip hop. I don’t really know very much about him either.
He was on Blender or some equally stupid magazine’s “Biggest Wusses in Music” list

I really hate when people pull things out of no where like this but… for some reason that bottle just makes me think of white supremacists?
I know I’m probably the only one, and the bottle designer probably had no idea that there are people as crazy as I am and would make that find of connection.

It didn’t strike me as any sort of political statement.

        it’s art.
people interpret art in different ways

Actually it reminds me of early to mid-20th century Communist propaganda. But as you said – everyone brings their own experience to interpreting art.

communist propaganda would have a fist pointing upwards, not like it’s about to punch you
