Rocawear 9IX ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 1 August 2008 20 Comments

Rocawear 9IX cologne for menRocawear, the fashion label established by rapper Jay-Z, will launch their first fragrance this fall. The new fragrance for men, 9IX Rocawear, was created under licensing arrangements with Elizabeth Arden:

The scent, concocted by International Flavors & Fragrances, has top notes of Asian coriander, mandarin zest and living cantaloupe; a heart of spike lavender, raw geranium leaf and suede, and a drydown of golden amber, musk and timberwood.

9IX Rocawear will be available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette and in matching grooming products. It will launch in September, but will not be introduced in the US until next spring. (via wwd) Update: see a review of Rocawear 9IX.

    Ermm, living cantaloupe?

Is that when it's still growing in a field? Would it smell any different?

    Who writes this stuff?

91x – what does that refer to? Thankfully, we don't carry EA fragrances, so Macy's can keep this one to themselves.

Actually, the launch date you posted is slightly wrong… the article said that it will be launching in the US next month, followed by the UK next spring.

*sigh* I just got this one at my counter last week…the launch date is coming up soon.
I have come to despise celebrity fragrances.

    Hello,

'Living' something (cantaloupe, lilac…) means that the note is obtained by IFF's headspace technology.
