Coming this fall from Marc Jacobs, last year's Daisy fragrance in a new limited edition Eau de Parfum concentration to celebrate the scent's first anniversary.
The notes are reportedly unchanged, just more concentrated. They've dressed the bottle in black with gold daisies, and it will be available in 50 ml. It is to launch in Europe in August, no idea when it will make it to the US. (via moodiereport)
Black and gold bottle? What a weird idea. I just happen to be wearing Daisy today, and it's a very light, summery fragrance. Black and gold make me think of sultry, heavy oriental – definitely not light summer! Can the EDP make that much of a jump from the subtle EDT? I'll be curious to check it out…
I wish they'd done it in black & white — wouldn't that have looked smart? Anyway, agree, hard to see how the scent could match the bottle, but it's still cute.

Just last night I had a customer come in and ask me for this, I told her I'd never heard of such a thing. I'll have to let her know!
The cuteness of that bottle is starting to grow on me, but I don't know how I feel about the gold daisies. They might be kind of tacky.

Could never understand the hype about this fragrance right from the get-go. Not to mention the awards it has won! It's a non offensive scent, but definitely nothing outstanding or award winning IMO. Great first perfume for a young girl,and yes, cute bottle. I am liking this black/gold one even better than the original. Too bad they've not spiced up the juice to go along with the new appearance.
I still have a third-of-a-bottle from when I really liked this. But it's too astringent and then it's cloyingly sweet. I love the bottle, though. I might just give it it a friend to use through and steal the bottle when she's done.
Life lesson learned with Daisy: 100ml = too much perfume, even if it did come with the most precious mini.
Have to say I sort of agree, although I haven't seen the bottle in person: the white daisies were cute, the gold daisies don't appeal to me.

Agree entirely, but as non-offensive scents go, I'd say it is miles above the competition both in terms of the juice and the packaging. If you're looking for something pleasant as opposed to interesting (and let's face it, most people probably are), Daisy is worth a shot.
I would literally never buy 100 ml if there was always a choice of something smaller — except that like you, I'd have been mighty tempted by the mini! Does the mini have mini plastic daisies? Because that would have sent me over the edge.
Believe me, I regret it every time I look at my shelf. I'll probably end up giving it away and just keeping the bottle. Dx
Actually, I'd bought a 50ml at Sephora, went down to Macy's, and ended up returning the 50ml. It certainly wasn't worth it, but it is terribly adorable.
It's the same glass base (just uber-tiny) and a single daisy on top (straight up; there isn't a base). It's smaller than the smallest one on the average bottle and it's a cute overload. I couldn't find a picture (and my camera is still broken) but it is precious; look around for it next time you're doing the rounds.

I hope that it looks better in person. Like this, it doesn't seem to work with the target audience. But, I'm not really a fan of black bottles unless the fragrance is super sultry.
Presumably it is going to cost more, and they'll make fewer bottles — so they dont' have to appeal to so many people I guess. But it doesn't look “luxe” to me either.
Daisy (EDT) just got here in Brazil and i went to the perfume store all excited to try it….
I was extremely disapointed specially because it won some awards…

It is true, it's not interesting. But fragrances don't win awards for being interesting…although it's too bad that they don't.
It is interesting in the sense that there is something different in it that it titillates so many people's noses, mine included. It think it's the different strawberry leafy wine scent. It's addictive to a lot of people. If it were blah… it wouldn't win awards. I think more niche scents win awards for being (and they can be) more creative and interesting in the daring sense.

Gotta disagree with that one point — lots of entirely blah scents have won Fifi awards. And really, there aren't any awards that I know of that reward creativity or interesting niche scents. Most awards just go to best sellers.
Hmmm I have to disagree, because I'm totally in love with the scent and the new bottle! The gold flowers may look kinda tacky on photo but actually when you see the real bottle, it's gorgeous. In fact if you love the EDT you've got to love the EDP because the scent just lingers so much longer. I absolutely love that…. yummyy

All these differences of opinions just go to show that there are different strokes for different folks. I absolutely adore the fragrance. My friend thinks it smells like fabric softener and so she hates it because she’s rather smell like melted chocolate on a hot day. I dislike all her perfumes and some of those have won awards. It’s like someone said awards go to prefered fragrances and if it’s a bestseller, then a lot of people prefer it. As for the black and gold theme I can see where they’re going with that, it’s a very wintery look, kind of christmasy. I do expect the fragrance to be spicier with a look like that but it’s not, it’s a clean fragrance.
