Baby Phat Seductive Goddess fragrance

Kimora Lee Simmon's Baby Phat line has launched Seductive Goddess, the second flanker scent for 2005's Baby Phat Goddess:

Kimora Lee Simmons is on a mission to share her ultra-sexy and glam secrets with Seductive Goddess. Seductive Goddess celebrates a woman's sensuality and gives her the permission to be tempting, glamorous, confident and sexy. A fragrance for the alluring, sensual woman who knows she is desired... Kimora offers her signature faux diamond ring around the bottle neck in black shimmering stones.

The fragrance notes include bergamot, citrus, black rose, purple violet, leather, vanilla, labdanum and patchouli.

Baby Phat Seductive Goddess is available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum. (quote via jcpenny, additional information via kohls)

Other recent launches from Baby Phat: Fabulosity.

Unearthly Beauty fragrance by Gretchen BonadueOpus Oils will launch Unearthly Beauty? by Gretchen Bonaduce (star of the reality show Breaking Bonaduce) later this month during VH1's 3rd Annual Big Shopping Day event on April 26.

omg LUV that Baby Phat bottle. I hope the fragrance is good… I didn't care for Golden Goddess.

I don't understand it, but I have never managed to snag a single Baby Phat sample anywhere — so have only tried them on paper. Going to try to get a sample of Fabulosity tomorrow, we'll see how I do.

Weird that this one seems to have launched at the lower tier stores, and w/o any publicity — although maybe that is coming later.

Need to sniff a Swedish Fish. I have one around here, someplace.

I have a green gummy candy dinosaur, but guess that's not quite the same thing.

I truly love the aroma of Swedish Fish due to nostalgia. However, the notes listed seem nothing like one.

Seems like it would smell more like a Jamba Juice.

Hmph. Smells like gummi bears, neither unearthly nor beautiful. Tastes okay, though.

Yeah, probably. Not sure I want the Swedish fish anyway.

What the heck is a Swedish Fish? And Gretchen Bonaduce is a celebrity worthy of her own fragrance? Who's next? The skanky loser on Rock of Love?

    Here you go:

    http://www.originalswedishfish.com/

It is interesting because we've had several conversations around here about all the B-list celebs in the UK with fragrances, and I'm always surprised we don't get more of them here. This would be a perfect example EXCEPT that it won't be in any wide distribution — if a Gretchen Bonaduce in the UK had a fragrance, you'd find it in your local drugstore. Here, it will be a specialty item and hard to find.

Now I'll have to go google Rock of Love…

Wasn't Fabulosity launched, like, a month ago?

She can't be churning out one a month!

This new one is probably either heinous or indistinguishable from most everything else currently on the market (two categories with some overlap, now that I think about it), but the notes sound…kind of nice. The leather is a big surprise.

Swedish Fish are the ultimate gummy candy, with that tart, slightly off-cherry/berry taste – but I can't imagine wanting to smell like one! For a hot second there I thought you were talking about an actual fish (hadn't read the marketing copy closely)…and that caused a little jolt of excitement. A fish fragrance…could be interesting. Candy? Not so much.

Of course, I am the woman who was bored to tears by C. Rowley's new scent Flowers…until she spilled nail polish remover on it! Then it got to be really intriguing, LOL!

ya know, I have never liked Kimora Le Simmons ever since I saw a special on E about the way she lives. It is extravagant and utterly wasteful. I guess I'm prejudiced the way others are about Britney, fruity scents and so on. I just don't want to contribute to her buying another exotic animal rug. I'm a snob snob. 🙁 Her fragrances are probably lovely.

Since food and leather scents are popular maybe it's time for a fish scent..Carp a Diem or La Chasse aux Sole. Men will think it reminds them of their mommy's fixing fish.

I do quite like the sound of the notes in the KLS scent, but I bet I'd have to yomp far and wide to find it.

And the other one has at least confirmed another good reason for not watching reality tv, the description of the scent sounds JLo-esque. Apart from the strange sweetie influence, she may have the star look, but tut tut surely a real diva wouldn't admit to the influence of a gelatine fish.

Oooh and given your love of skank in a scent I thought I'd share the five minutes on TV that had me amused this pm

http://www.itv.com/CatchUp/Video/default.html?ViewType=5&Filter=18178, after the titles it's the first 'sketch'. I tried, and failed, to explain to my husband why their choice of 'bad' name amused me so.

I know virtually nothing about KLS, so I'm safe, but from the brief tries I've given her scents on paper, don't think they're probably lovely — they're mostly very sweet fruity florals.

Actually I don't think Fabulosity has “officially” launched yet, although it is already in stores. Perhaps this one is having a soft launch as well, or perhaps it is just an afterthought and they're not going to make any big deal about it. The notes don't sound half bad though — we'll see!

You know, I spent a few minutes reading about the show on Wikipedia, and it sounds even more depressingly horrid than your average depressingly horrid reality show. I'd rather watch reruns of Beverly Hillbillies, myself.

it really was nice! Isn't that bizarre? You know, I think this might have a market, R – think about it….all those candy-apple/candyfloss/fruity florals..butched up to high heaven with a nail polish remover accord!

You know, I honestly thought the original was not that bad (for a celebrity fragrance). I mean at least it wouldn't really offend anyone. I like the new bottle, too.

You were probably right…as I said, I never managed to get a sample, and trying things on cards doesn't work well for me. Smelled like a basic sweet fruity floral, but maybe there was way more to it than that.

AHHH! Robin, HELP!! Someone told me that scents lose their scent after 1 year. This can't be true! Is there any truth to this??? Help!

No, no truth to it at all. I've had problems with a few silicone-based products (often sold as “elixirs” or “dry oils”) losing their scent, but that's it.

Other scents, it all depends — they won't lose their scent, but they can “turn” — e.g., go off and smell bad. Some will last for years upon years, some are not so stable. Of my 100 or so bottles, I've lost around 5-6 in the past 4-5 years. A few others have had the top notes “turn” but are fine after you wait about 10 minutes for the top notes to evaporate. Do keep them all away from light (light is the worst) and heat — a cool, dark closet is the best. And obviously, keep them closed up as tight as you can so there is no evaporation and as little contact with oxygen as possible.

Phew! Thanks, Robin! I actually keep all of mine in a suitcase under my bed and they are all still in their original boxes. All of the boxes were too beautiful to throw away. The only one I've had a problem with was curious because after a while the juice turned into this crusty yellow color!

I actually have a few perfumes that have turned horrid colors — and you know, it's probably a sign of some deadly chemical reaction, but I just ignore it and go on wearing them 🙂

You know, I went to CVS last night & saw that they already carried this perfume.

it was strange, I didn't even think it was officialy (sp?) realeased yet!

it's a shame that it's already at a discount store.

This isn't going to Macy's. Its only at stores like Walgreens and Rite Aid. Oh, and JCPenny are the only ones who carry her Fabulosity clothing for little girls and I think they carry this also
