LOL at “watery nuances”! That's a very poetic way of saying “standard marine note”.

We got an advance bottle of the Tommy Bahama, without any promotional material, and it is very…. accurate as a water scent. In the top notes the rum is pronounced, but soft. Someone said it smells like 'good' rum. (I don't know, I only drink rum when nothing else is available). Anyway, then it dies down and I swear, I can smell clean salty ocean. It totally mimicks clean ocean sprays from the Caribe. Made me feel like I was back in Vzla. It's not going to do well because it is so …different…almost unwearable… but it is a novelty to smell.

I am surprised there isn't a women's counterpart to this one, as there was w/ Set Sail St. Barts — or is there one, and it just isn't online yet?

I am not one for most aquatic scents but have been on a kick as of lately and I have to say that the Boss Pure is nice. I am actually pondering purchasing a bottle of it.

I am surprised to hear that it is so different. The lady made me a sample, and she said she didn't know if it would sell well because she thought it was “different.” To me it smells very nice on the skin, but I didn't realize at all that it was so unwearable. Maybe it just smells THAT good on my skin (lol). Or maybe I will buy a bottle if nobody else does, just so it doesn't feel lonely :/
