Despite the hype in recent years over fragrances by J.Lo, Beyonce, Paris Hilton and the like, only 4 percent of adult women who wear fragrances most commonly use a celebrity fragrance, according to a recent report by market research group Mintel International. But among teenagers, 27 percent favor scents named after US Weekly darlings (who probably smell more like beer and smoke than notes of lavender and patchouli).
— from an article in twincities about Sarah Jessica Parker's Lovely fragrance.
I never buy celebrity fragrances. Even when Oprah gave out Lovely on her show and made it hard to find, part of my, “Oh I can't get it so now I must have it,” feelings rose up. But then I had to ask myself if really wanted to smell like the star of Sex and The City? So, I don't even bother sniffing them.
P.S. Oh when will Kelly Caleche come out? This is just torture!
I would buy one if I loved it, but so far, I don't. Did think SJP's was about the best of the last few years though!
