L’Homme Yves Saint Laurent & Lancome Miracle Forever: new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 6 July 2006 8 Comments

L'Homme Yves Saint LaurentLancome Miracle Forever perfume

Yves Saint Laurent will launch L'Homme Yves Saint Laurent in September. The bottle was inspired by Bauhaus, and the target market is young men between 25 and 30. The fragrance was created by Anne Flipo, Pierre Wargnye and Dominique Ropion, and has notes of citrus peel, bergamot, ginger, white pepper, basil blossoms, violet leaves, cedar, sandalwood, amber, vetiver and tonka bean.

L'Homme Yves Saint Laurent will be fronted by actor Olivier Martinez, and will be available in 60 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette and in matching grooming products. (via aufeminin, cosmeticsint.co.uk & Women's Wear Daily) Update: see a review of Yves Saint Laurent L'Homme.

Lancôme will introduce Miracle Forever in Europe in September, in the United States in 2007. The fragrance is a "foody oriental" meant to attract a younger consumer to the Miracle line:

The scent, orchestrated by IFF star perfumers Dominique Ropion and Olivier Polge, in coordination with Lancôme fragrance creative director Pauline Zanoni, was built around three predominant notes: almond flower nectar, blackcurrant and star anis, not frequently used in women's fragrance, Polge explained. Lancome Miracle Forever is an Eau de Parfum, and is available in 50 and 75 ml, and in Shower Gel and Perfumed Body Lotion.

It is nice! It is sort of funny that both YSL & L'Artisan are doing these bolt-like caps this year.

Hi there – are you aware that Chitika elements on your blog are causing a message “Done, but with errors on page” next to yellow triangle? Thought you might want to fix it.

Tried to fix it some time ago but couldn't, and can't see that it is causing any problems so left it alone. It doesn't cause an error in Firefox at all. Thanks for letting me know though!

I want to buy an Yves Saint Laurent fragrance for the sole fact that all the ads are so risque! Is this one any good?

I only sprayed it on a card, and thought it was nice but nothing startlingly new. Will give it a real try on skin eventually!
