Michael Kors Island Fiji, Dali Sea & Sun in Cadaques & more new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 16 March 2006 6 Comments

Michael Kors Island Fiji perfume

Michael Kors has launched Island Fiji, a limited edition variation on last year's Island fragrance.

The new perfume features Kauai waterfalls accord, oxygenated water accord, cactus pear, mango, kiwi, honeysuckle, parrot tulip, tiare flower, jasmin sambac, ginger lilies, Bulgarian rose, plumeria, stephanotis, driftwood, rice fields accord, birch and white bark accord.

Michael Kors Island Fiji is available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum at sephora.

Salvador Dali Sea & Sun in Cadaques perfumeParfums Salvador Dali has launched Sea & Sun in Cadaquès:

The fragrance, a floral sweet amber, is said to be ideal for the summer season. The juice, created by Robertet’s Michel Almairac, features notes of kumquat, apricot, blackcurrant, freesia and musk.

Salvador Dali Sea & Sun in Cadaquès is an Eau de Toilette and is available in 50 ml.

Stella McCartney Sheer Stella 2006Stella McCartney will launch a 2006 version of Stella Sheer:

The juice features notes of lemon zest, green apple, rose absolute, celestial rose and amber. Both the flacon and the outer carton are decorated with a butterfly and hummingbird motif, in shades of deep pink and plum. (both above via moodiereport)

As previously reported, Comme des Garçons will launch two fragrances inspired by their Guerilla store concept. A few more details on the scents:

For Guerrilla 1, Marie-Aude Couture (Givaudan) was inspired by one such store, in a former butcher's shop in Berlin, Germany, she tells Cosmeticnews.com. The scent is constructed around a heart of champaca flower, with spicy and vetiver notes, and is intended to evoke the smells of a butcher's world. Guerrilla 2, signed Nathalie Feisthauer (also of Givaudan), is inspired by the color red, reflected in its packaging. It opens with bergamot, pink pepper and ginger, has a heart of red chili pepper, turmeric, raspberry and tuberose. (via cosmeticnews) Update: see a review of the Comme des Garçons Guerilla fragrances.

Coty has launched a new fragrance under the L'Aimant brand, Caresse d'Orchidee:

Presented in the familiar L'Aimant flacon, the blush-coloured scent has top notes of bergamot, orange blossom and blackcurrant with a floral heart of red rose, jasmine, ylang ylang, green hyacinth, white lily, orchid, orris and white rose petals. The base notes are vanilla, sandalwood, oak moss and vetyver. (via cosmeticsinternational)

'Kauai waterfalls accord? Oxygenated water accord? Rice fields accord? ” Uh huh. Sure. What next, a used accordion? But on the other hand, what a beautiful bottle.

I just received Fiji today, after searching long and hard for a bottle. i must say, I am rather disappointed. I was hoping for something a lot more summery. Guess I will have to wait until it is sunnier outside and I am not wearing another perfume underneath. Haven’t tried Bermuda yet, but I think Hawaii is the best so far.
