New fragrances from Lalique, Lancome, Armani

Posted by Robin on 16 December 2005 10 Comments

The 2006 limited edition fragrances from Lalique are inspired by Greek mythology. The men's (shown at right) features bergamot, mandarin, grapefruit, lavender, rosemary, jasmine, iris, red cedar, amber, patchouli, sandalwood, oakmoss, vanilla and musk; the women's fragrance has rose, jasmine, wallflower, iris, blackcurrant leaf, blackberry, living pear, sandalwood, vanilla and white musk. In March, look for a limited edition from Lancôme, Trésor Rose D’Amour. That month will also see the launch of Tropiques, a duty free exclusive which will...

...form part of a new “Collection Voyages” that will be updated each year with a new concept. Asia will be the focus region for 2007; Africa for 2008.

In April, the company will launch an Eau de Toilette version of Hypnôse. Update: Tresor Rose D'Amour may have been an early name for what was released as Tresor Sheer, and you can find more information on Lancome Tropiques here.

Early next year, Giorgio Armani will launch a feminine version of Armani Code. (via moodiereport) Update: see a review of Armani Code for women.

I hope that Collection Voyages will be nothing like say what Escada produces every summer. I will be waiting for that Asia inspired one.

Agree! The name Tropiques does not inspire me.

Hope there's not too much vanilla in the men's Lalique. I have one of the men's Lalique scents in the bottle called Le Faun. It really is very nice.

Has an EDP version of Hypnôse been released in Canada yet? And if anyone has had a chance to smell it could you please let me know how it smells? Many thanks!

B, the bottle is stunning. I've never smelled any of the Lalique LEs & just assume I never will…can't afford those lovely bottles!

I'm afraid I have no idea. It has not been officially released in the US yet, although it can be purchased online here.

I tried it on a couple of months ago. From what I remembered, it opens with a very sweet passion flower and dries down softer with hints of vanilla. I only sprayed it on one arm and I did like it. I keep meaning to get a sample. (I think I will go do that tomorrow, I will post more if I find anything else out)

I remember it being very nice, R. I didn't have an overwhelming urge to own it, but I liked it, so it needs a second try. I really LIKED the bottle.

The bottle is nice. It has been a long time since Lancome has released a fragrance I like, so hopeful about this one.
