New fragrances: Burberry, Michel Klein & more

Burberry Brit Gold fragranceAzzaro Silver Black (Onyx) fragrance

Burberry will launch Brit Gold (shown above left) this September in Saks:

Gold, created by Givaudan's Antoine Lie, opens with feminine, floral notes of magnolia and neroli, mixed with black currant and ultrafresh bergamot. The heart is drawn from pink iris, amber and vanilla — the common denominator in all the Burberry Brit fragrances. The drydown is a blend of sexy musks and sandalwood.

French designer Michel Klein will launch his first scent, Cher Michel Klein, this October. (via Women's Wear Daily) Update: see a review of Burberry Brit Gold, and find more about Cher Michel Klein here.

Azzaro will launch a new men's fragrance, Silver Black (shown above right; it will be called Onyx in the United States) this fall. The scent was created by Francoise Caron and has notes of green apple, bergamot, green lemon, coriander, cardamom, caraway, juniper, cedar wood and musk. (via cosmeticnews)

Hi! This is my first time posting, though I have been lurking for a while. *waves* Is the Michael Klein mentioned in the Women's Wear article the same as Michel Klein, who previously collaborated with CCB-Paris? If so, he has had several fragrances already including Insomny, Comedie and Illusion. Then again, I may be revealing my serious lack of fashion awareness. :-)

Hi Hedgehog, and welcome! Sorry you came out of lurking on a day that my blog is malfunctioning and displaying a post from July 6 as though it is today's post, and hopefully it will be fixed soon!

But yes, I assume that was a typo in Women's Wear Daily, but since I wasn't sure, I didn't fix it….and I assume they are calling it his “debut” because they don't count the scents he did for smaller distribution through CCB-Paris (?)

Burberry Brit Gold is F*A*B….it smells soooo good! I absolutely love it! I love the original Brit but the Red is kinda odd smelling to me. Try the Gold though….it is very unique and very nice!
