More on the renovation of Guerlain's flagship store

Posted by Robin on 12 March 2005 4 Comments

Plus que Jamais Guerlain fragranceAccording to the Moodie Report, the newly renovated Guerlain flagship store on the Champs Elysées in Paris will open this May, and as promised, they are going to bring back some of the older Guerlain fragrances.

They will start with numbered limited editions of Le Mouchoir de Monsieur and La Voilette de Madame. Other fragrances to be brought back this spring include Quand Vient l’Eté, Metalys (originally Metallica), Liu, Philtre d’Amour, Derby, Guerlinade, Attrape-Coeur (originally Guet Apens), Purple Fantasy and Chant d’Arômes. And in honor of the opening, Guerlain will release a new fragrance, Plus que Jamais Guerlain (pictured above).

The boutique will also feature a bespoke fragrance service, and an expanded baby fragrance line.

Can I just say: YAY! GUERLINADE!!!!

No – I can't take it. Liu, Guerlinade, Guet Apens, perhaps the parfum version of Chant d'Aromes AND a new one??? I am in sensory overload. Thank heavens I told DH that the only serious investments this year would be if Guerlain released any of its classics – thank heavens for foresight 🙂 Any hints on the notes of Jamais Guerlain and if these will be released in the US??

Isn't it exciting? Sorry but I don't know anything other than what the Moodie Report released today — so no idea if these will be exported (tend to doubt it though) and don't know the notes for the new one.

I am really hoping the new boutique does very well and that some of the other older houses take note and start bringing back more of their old scents — Caron, are you listening?

Wow! I sure hope we won't have to go to France to get these goodies! There's enough there to tempt me into a trip, though.

I vote for the trip, and I fit easily into a large steamer trunk by the way.

For some reason I am thinking they are going to make these exclusive to the Guerlain boutique & the Roja Dove shop. We'll see. NY needs a really high end boutique like Roja Dove, right?
