Posted by Robin on 11 April 2026 160 Comments

PSA: the splitmeet and the spring reading poll are coming up on the 25th of this month.

Meanwhile, our usual open thread poll. Talk about anything you like — the fragrance you’re wearing today, the fragrance you hope somebody will split (or you’re thinking of splitting), whatever.

Or, ask a question about fragrance, then see if anyone else has asked a question that you can answer…

We’re whiling away the last weekend in March with our usual open thread poll.

Lazy 3-day weekend poll ~ open thread, February into March 2026

Posted by Robin on 28 February 2026 172 Comments

Saturday is the last day of February, and Sunday — rabbit rabbit rabbit! — is the first day of March, and if you’re in the Northern Hemisphere, the first day of meteorological spring…right on time, I have snowdrops blooming in my front yard. (The equinox is not until March 20.) PSA: the next swapmeet starts on the 14th of March.

We’re honoring all of it with our standard open thread poll. Talk about anything you like — the fragrance you’re wearing today, the fragrance you’ll wear just as soon as your local weather permits, whatever.

Or, ask a question about fragrance, then see if anyone else has asked a question that you can answer…

Lazy 3-day weekend poll ~ open thread, late February 2026

Posted by Robin on 21 February 2026 185 Comments

As of Saturday, there are 26 days of (astronomical) winter left to go (or, 7 days until meteorological spring), but if you’re in the Northeastern US, we’re bracing for yet another snow storm. The next swapmeet will start on Saturday, 14 March.

We’re waiting, patiently or not, for the seasons to change with our usual open thread poll. Talk about anything you like — the fragrance you’re wearing today, the fragrance you can’t wait to wear when it’s the right weather for it, whatever.

Or, ask a question about fragrance, then see if anyone else has asked a question that you can answer…
