Givenchy will launch Ange ou Démon in August. The fragrance…
…targets a more mature woman than Very Irresistible. Firmenich’s Olivier Cresp and Jean-Pierre Bethouart created the oriental floral. The top notes are fresh with essence of white thyme, mandarin orange from Calabria and essence of saffron. The middle note mixes maxillaria orchid, lily and ylang ylang, while the base note is made of tonka bean, vanilla, rosewood and oak wood absolute. (via cosmeticnews)

It’s amazing that nearly 50 years after its initial release, Givenchy’s first fragrance for men, Monsieur de Givenchy, is still available, still selling, and still perfection. The Times Online has an article about the recent vintage perfumes from Givenchy (Les Millésimes de Givenchy):
All three look to be the first of a whole new trend in perfumes — occasional vintage editions of classic perfumes. Only about 80,000 bottles of each will be produced, and once the vintage is sold there will be no more. Just like wine.
