Lush has launched Shade, a new unisex fragrance…
Monday scent of the day 9/13
It’s Monday, and I’m already running late. (Also, Roald Dahl Day and one of several versions of International Chocolate Day.) What fragrance are you wearing?
I’m in Ormonde Jayne Evernia, for the “moss in the trees” mentioned in the song Seven Bridges Road.*
Reminder: 9/17 is International Country Music Day…
History of this rare essence
The history of this rare essence begins where it was first harvested: the Italian countryside. Just beyond the tiny village of San Polo (about a 30-minute drive from Florence) sits the Pruneti Farm. Surrounded by steep hillsides purpled by blossoms, the mill has been operational for nearly two centuries. Today, brothers Paolo and Gionni Pruneti are dedicated to preserving the traditional methods of orris extraction, a costly, labour-intensive process passed down from generation to generation.

Lazy weekend poll ~ open thread, mid-September 2021
Saturday is the 20th anniversary of 9/11 (and the National Day of Service and Remembrance). Sunday is the National Day of Encouragement.
We’re marking everything with our standard open thread poll. Talk about anything you like — the fragrance you’re wearing today, the last new fragrance you bought or tested, whatever.
Or, ask a question about fragrance, then see if anyone else has asked a question that you can answer…
