Melograno body oil..this is one of my favorites for my skin if you like jojoba oil. And the scent is so subtle. Perfect from going from office to office….
The UN is in session to I would say that the traffic is making my head explode..but at least my skin is soft and I smell good.
Any time the UN is mentioned, I think of the line from North by Northwest, when Roger Thornhill (referring to Lester Townsend) says “our friend who’s assembling the General Assembly.”
It’s frustrating for New Yorkers. There are all these security measures for diplomats and dignitaries at their respective consulates, which block traffic. But we often wonder if they truly believe they’re more important than they actually are. I just passed by a famous actor walking to the local bodega, and we didn’t even care
I am still doing patchouli week.
Today I am wearing Diptyque Tempo.
Elegant, powdery patchouli – dry and aromatic, but also with a noticeable “sophisticated makeup” feel. Kind of in the same ballpark as Shalimar Parfum Initial and Chanel 31 Rue Cambon.
It could be a good signature scent for someone: it works well as a daytime scent but can also be worn in the evening, if understated elegance is your vibe.
At work today, but I’m hoping I can get away with one discreet spritz of “Une Rose” under my shirt.
I’m up early to deal with some family stuff, and since my bathrobe had traces of Monserrat’s Osmanthus lingering on it, I sprayed some more and that’s my SOTM.
I love when my PJs have scents on them
I am wearing L’Artisan’s Jour de Fete, which feels perfect for a sunny Sept day when I have a lot to do. Hope everyone’s day is going well fr them!

Following Glannys in patchouli today with Coco Noir body cream and perfume.
Happy Wednesday Perfume People! It’s still grey and damp here, a bit PNWish and I’m not complaining. Lovely to walk outside and not become immediately incinerated by the sun and heat.
Today I decided to let my Loud Perfume Flag fly with Amouage Fate Woman. I’ve hardly made the tiniest dent in this bottle, so I guess I don’t wear it as often as I think I do. Anyway, it’s lovely for this time of year, a bit of narcissist of a perfume which makes sure everyone stops and pays attention to it when it enters the room. Definitely not a safe choice for a work perfume. Over on Fragrantica someone made the comment…
“but Fate Woman isn’t veering, it’s destination is classic French and it gets there with the speed and force of a train.”
What’s not to love about that? 🙃 Also, apparently it’s hard to find now because there were Fragrantica people looking to buy it, and willing to pay exorbitant prices ($600/bottle). Probably discontinued at this point. I’ve had this bottle for quite a long time now and it’s like brand new. It reminds me of l’Elephant in that it’s a spicy amber/oriental that has nuclear longevity and strength. It’s not as sweet and chewy as l’Elephant but just wonderful for what it is. Happy to have my bottle, which is one of the prettiest bottles I own. 😍
