It's the third weekend in July, and we're marking the occasion with our same old open thread poll.
Talk about anything you like — the fragrance you’re wearing today, the last fragrance you tried that met or exceeded your expectations, the AQI in your area, whatever.
Or, ask a question about fragrance, then see if anyone else has asked a question that you can answer…

NOT a SOTD post yet – –
I just saw a new extrait Neith by Neela Vermeire. As of right now, it shows up as $415 at LuckyScent or $6.92 per mL. If anyone is interested, I will buy a bottle and it will come to ~ $42 per 5 mL, including shipping & handling. I will split up to 35mL. Please email me if interested and I will do a final tally by Monday. Thanks.
Happy weekend!
I am still celebrating the 90’s with another EL favourite, Tuscany Per Donna (1992). It might be stormy and raining today but I am smelling like warm sunshine and ready for a getaway.
Last song I’m sharing from the 90’s is Vanessa Williams’ Save The Best For Last. Enjoy!

Air quality today has finally improved, we are down to moderate risk!
There were a few perfume yawns:
D&G Your Devotion Intense – Didn’t get the promised melon milk. Just perfumey mall scent. Smell and forget.
JM Sea Salt & Bergamot – Very weak and airy. I will stick with Wood Sage & Sea Salt for my salty fix.
What met my expectations was TF Toarmina Orange. Very realistic citrus, with a little bitterness. Refreshing and bright. The only downside is the weak staying power.
Tuscany Donna is a beauty. I have 3 bottles of the old stuff, way too many. It reminds me a lot of Laura Biagiotti’s Venezia. Both are d/c in their original formulas now. Ciao bellas!
Tuscany Donna is such a gorgeous scent, you smell marvelous. And I am with DeniseH, the Laura Biagiotti Venezia are quite similar and very enjoyable.
SOTD is the last dregs of my Devotion travel spray. Thunk! 🗑️
I ventured out into the Realm of Damnation yesterday, ie: out doors. I made an excursion into BBW, among other places, and picked up a shower gel and body cream in Almond Croissant, which is delicious if you like a buttery, sweet gourmand. I don’t know if this is a newer scent or not, but it’s new to me. It seems almost too sweet right out of the packaging but settles down nicely once applied. The scent doesn’t really linger very long so I can’t imagine it would interfere with any perfume choice. Also picked up a three wick candle in the “A Day At The Cafe” which is “cold brewed coffee, frothed milk, and sweet caramel syrup.” Quite nice and has scented my little studio perfectly. After running around sweating, I made a huge bowl of doctored up boxed pasta salad which is cool, light, and refreshing. T-Rex was good enough to act as outfielder and catch anything that jumped off the countertop while being prepped. What a great helper she is! 🙃
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Yes omg Almond Croissant is so good!! I almost bought them too but had to pull myself away because I have enough products to last a century.
We call ours “the vaccuum.” Same idea. Recently made short work of some canned black beans my husband spilled all over the linoleum. We did keep her outside for a few hours afterward out of an excess of caution but all was well and she was not fume-y..
I just picked up the Almond Croissant shower gel and body cream too! It is absolutely delicious smelling.
🥐 Twins!
I have enough products for a lifetime too, but I think I am going to BBW today and try these out. Probably will come back with a lot more things than I need😊
Some days you just want a thwack in the face with a big bunch of roses, or at least I do, and so I’m in Etat Libre d’Orange Eau de Protection, from way back when it still had Rossy de Palma’s name attached to it. I love a dark rose and this fits the bill.
Pyramus, that is a great dark rose with a few thorns in it and you smell great! I know this one thanks to a very generous NSTer.
Post morning run, I’m wearing Fragonard Patchouli, which is a light EdT that wears like a ‘patchouli cologne’ instead of a dank or heavy or amber/vanilla infused patchouli. In our heat, a light clean citrusy patchouli cologne fits the bill perfectly, though come winter I’ll be looking for heavier hitters. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.
Yeah, “with a few thorns in it” is exactly right. It’s my favourite thing in a rose scent: something vaguely threatening under the beauty. SL La Fille de Berlin and Atelier Cologne Rose Anonyme have it, too.
I bought a couple of Fragonards when I was at the shop in Paris a couple of years ago and wish I’d had time to sample more. Their scents are the very definition of “cheap and cheerful” — not great art, at least none I’ve ever smelled, but fun and so affordable. I bet I would have liked the patchouli.
Great scent! Definitely a thorny rose, but in a good way.
Love that one.
I’m enjoying my usual lazy start to Sunday morning, but the mountain of dishes in the kitchen is starting to weigh on me – some action will be needed soon.
Post-shower, I’m thinking of about something warm and ambery, possibly the extremely powerful Ambra from Omnia Profumi, it’s a commitment – one spray lasts forever!
You will smell amazing, and I chuckle to see that you, being in the Antipodes, are seeking the exact opposite of what I am craving in heatwave L.A.
I’m continuing to wear L’Artisan Parfumeur from the 90’s in another groundbreaking Olivia Giacobetti fragrance, from 1994, Premier Figuier. It’s so perfect for the 3rd week in July☀️
Allo – I love your decision to wear only 90s L’Artisans all week and am enjoying hearing about your blast-from-the-past choices, many of which kindle fond scent memories for me. Your posts have inspired me to wear L’A Patchouli Patch today, continuing my ‘light’ summer patchouli choice of Fragonard Patchouli from yesterday, which is lovely and ethereal but lasts 20 minutes. My PP will go on all day!
I just looked and L’Artisan has 143 perfumes in the Basenotes database, which is just amazing. They only seem mainstream niche today because the perfume world has caught up with them.
Hi DeniseH! I’m so happy to know I inspired you to wear another, close to the 90’s, L’Artisan and to remember the early days when L’Artisan was synonymous with niche.
I have such fond memories of those early days and the only negative memory/regret is that I didn’t snatch up more of them (Ananas Fizz, Aedes de Venustas, etc., etc.). I am so grateful for you and other NSTers who have allowed me to experience some of the ones that got away💕
I miss old school L’Artisan too!
Lost Cherry 🍒 Tom Ford
Out and about today with fancy makeup, Gucci lippy and blush and some TF eyeshadow.
Feeling like 💩 , I bought some home items from a shop in Texas. When I hadn’t heard back from them, I left a nasty voicemail expressing my dissatisfaction with their poor customer service. I tried calling and emailing them, but there was no response. Then, I read the newspaper and realized that Texas was experiencing flooding. “Texas Flood” by Stevie T. Vaughn as my song of the day.
Oh, I heard flooding is happening in NY as well, it seems weather everywhere is such a mess! I hope you get your items soon.
I’m due to restock home goods items like lamp shades, towels, linens. I don’t care for shopping for items other than makeup/perfume.
Today’s lippie is Rouge Coco Lipstick in Bloom, pretty coral pink and perfect for summer. I’ve paired it with a champagne beige eye shadow and teal liner.
I find makeup and perfume shopping much more enjoyable than home goods!
I will look up that Coco lippy!
I bought some new gucci blushes, one I used last night in a plum shade 09 and the other one is a more coral. I don’t need anymore blush..but I am a sucker for cute packaging.
Oh, I”m with you on the cute packaging. I love taking an elegant compact or lippie out of my purse. My favorite summer color is the one from Chanel, and Lisa Eldridge’s Wonder Wheel, similar color but brighter. The lipstick is magnetized so it has that satisfying ‘click’ when you put the top back on.
Oh yikes. Well, you could always email them again saying you hadn’t realized…I probably wouldn’t have put it together either.
Today was a topsy-turvy weather day, the AQIndex was low this morning but it was extremely hot and humid, and when the 🌞 was shining my weather app said it was about to rain☔️ , and when it was raining my weather app showed no rain and part sun. So I just gave up and decided it was another ‘inside’ day to catch up on stuff. The smoke is supposed to increase overnight and tomorrow the AQIndex is supposed to be worse than today but not as bad as Thursday (whatever that means?) We can only hope!🤞
My SOTD IS another of Yves Rocher’s summer annuals, Bleu Vegetal, this one from 2015 so it still fits my chosen decade. A light floral with a mix of jasmine and bergamot on an aquatic base; it definitely works for today’s weather and continues my July theme of sea, sky, and blue.
Happy weekend to all!💙
Our AQI was horrid most of yesterday but is reasonable if not fantastic today. Yay. Hope yours is ok now, since I am a day late! And that you got caught up on everything.
It’s my day off, but I was asked to come in tonight. It’s fine, since I would have had to come out to pick up my son anyway.
I’m wearing the almost last drops of Vera Bradley Peach blossom and nectar.
It was nice here for most of the day, but the wildfire smoke is creeping back in tonight.
I get an instant sore throat with the smoke
I get an instant headache! I masked quite a bit this week, it does seem to help me.
I got the insta-headache when the wildfire smoke was bad here. Hoping the monsoon shows up later on this week.
Hi all, my SOTD is GIvenchy Dahlia Noir L’Eau, I would describe as a
peppery, green rose with a patchouli drydown. It’s enjoyable for summer.
Just got back from dinner (Italian) with the hubby, they had outdoor seating which was nice. Today’s lippie is Rouge Coco Lipstick in Bloom, a pretty coral pink and perfect for summer. I’ve paired it with a champagne beige eye shadow and teal liner.
Chanel lipsticks are so chic
Your makeup sounds so pretty and giving perfect summer vibes! 🩵
Thank you! The teal liner is the discontinued Guerlain Kohl liner in Bleu 03. A comparable liner is Lancome’s
Black Lapis (also discontinued). The base shade is Le Metier de Beaute’s Jojo, a shimmer from their collection (also now disconued). As you can see I’m a bit bummed and on the hunt for a replacement. *sigh*
The Non-Blonde’s review is below.
https://www.thenonblonde.com/2010/05/guerlain-terracotta-kohl-liner-bleu-03.html
I am using this YSL eyeliner in Gold, but they have a very similar colour to your blue liner called Unconditonal Marine. It’s sold out on their site but maybe check out Sephora? https://www.yslbeautyus.com/makeup/eye/eyeliner/lines-liberated-24h-waterproof-eyeliner/WW-51214YSL.html?dwvar_WW-51214YSL_color=07%20-%20UNCONDITIONAL%20MARINE
There are also a few blue shades from Marc Jacobs. I couldn’t get my phone to link to US Sephora so it’s the Canadian site, but same product!
https://www.sephora.com/ca/en/product/drawn-this-way-long-wear-waterproof-gel-eyeliner-P524951?skuId=2994440
It really is suck a bummer when things we love gets discontinued. I hope you find your perfect replacement!
*such
Thank you so much!! I will run off to take a look right now. 🙂 And ITA, it’s a major bummer when a beloved liner or lippie gets d/c’d.
Years ago, I think you helped me find a discontinued Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Peacock (light shimmery teal blue). I think it was on overstock dot com if I’m not mistaken.
There used to be a website called All Cosmetics Wholesale which sold discontinued cosmetics and perfume, they are also closed down. I found so many wonderful discontinued beauty items on that website.
Fzotic Deixis is lightly lingering from last night before bed, but I’ve just amped it up with a couple more sprays. This reminds me so much of a SSS Winter Woods, only a lighter and more transparent. I really need to do a side by side. It’s dark (literally. The juice is almost black), smoky, a bit acidic and sharp but with a soft overlay of unctuousness. Burned briquettes, Cade, woodsmoke, and a sweetish amber dry down. Nary a flower in sight, at least on me. The smokiness does settle down a bit as it develops. It’s doesn’t have the staying power or depth of WW, but this makes it more wearable in warmer seasons. WW would definitely kill me in the current temperatures. I will use up my travel spray quickly, especially when colder weather moves in, but I don’t think I need a full bottle. I have a small bottle of WW and it just doens’t get any better. I hope Laurie is doing well. I think of her regularly and miss her creations.
I hope she is ok too…have not heard anything in ages.
BBW Rose shower gel and lotion with Shalimar Rose Millesime.
I think I will check out BBW today and try this Almond Croissant you are all talking about.
Report back on what you think!
Enabler pins for you and Deva. I did get the shower gel and lotion for free due to some awards I had. I almost got the Caramel Vanilla instead because I like that one too. If I don’t like the Almond Croissant, I figure I didn’t lose any money😊
I was also considering the caramel vanilla. I didn’t care for the other two in the line.
I didn’t either. I did go back and get the caramel vanilla today. I actually think I like that one better than the Almond Croissant.
Easing into Sunday morning (reminds of me “Easy like Sunday morning” 🎶) with another L’Artisan, this time a 1993 fragrance by Karine Dubreuil-Sereni, L’Eau d’Ambre. This didn’t catch my attention in the 90’s but I really appreciate it now.
I’m not familiar with Karine Dubreuil-Sereni, but in the Fragrantica database, she’s done 145 fragrances, including 4 for L’Artisan.
Oh I love that song.
😊
Wow, that’s a lot of perfumes, and I’d not heard of her either. So many talented perfumers out there. I’m not sure if L’A Ambre was one of the first amber-centric perfumes, but it was a great one.
Am out of town on a boat in a marina, with only SMN Eva and Lostmarc’h Iroaz along for the ride, and right now it’s just the dregs of Eva on my shirt. Hot and humid, but there’s a lovely but far-too-intermittent breeze keeping me from melting completely. No sleep. Unruly hair. Microscopic bathroom. Crabby attitude until I acclimate a bit further. Over and out. 🙂
I hope you end up having a very good time 😀
Thank you — it’s getting better. We just spent an hour or so power washing the bow deck area, and met the neighbors two slips over. They seem fun. And after that I showered off the grime (very microscopic shower enclosure, but the hot water is better than at home!) and am now continuing to acclimate myself with a glass of rosé and several spritzes of Iroaz.
Wine always helps!
Absolutely!
I normally don’t watch a minute of soccer but World Cup is another story. Watching today’s final match with a group of friends. I made Paella Valenciana (just chicken though, no traditional rabbit or snails) and tortilla de patatas. Vamos España!
Sotd is Matiere Premiere Vanilla Powder.
Round of sangria on meeeee!!! 🍷🍷🍷
Congratulations on Spain’s win! Mr. G was rooting for the other guys, but I just enjoyed watching the pros play pretty football.
I am ashamed that I saw none of it other than the final (and only) goal.
Congrats to Spain
Tortilla de patatas is delicious!!
Today I wore Chanel 19 Poudre. I should have blind bought a bottle of it at a good price when I came across it. I have been trying it by ordering a decent.
Of course I love it. To me 19 Poudre smells like the CHICEST fragrance of all. Chic is the best word that comes to my mind when I’m wearing it. But it’s an elegant of a chic. Chanel style. You have the #5 and 22 divas wearing evening gowns and strands of pearls and then You have a woman that is wearing a checkered mini under a trench coat with a neon-green scarf poking underneath. That’s what I imagine #19 Poudre imaginary model wearing.
19 Poudre – I knew I would love it. First of all I love #19, period. Second of all I LOVE powder in perfumes. When I read “powdery” or Poudre – I’m all the way in. No amount of powder has ever been too much for me to handle.
But 19 Poudre also has a life of its own. It’s not just a mere shadow of the original #19, and afterthought, a boring flanker. No no!!
It is crisp, sheer, powdery but with its own “oomph”. Leaves a beautiful trail. And it has something that I love about perfume the most: when I am wrapped around it’s beautiful scent, I just love the aura around me. I feel so good wearing it. I put it on at 9am this morning and it’s 2:30 pm here and I am most definitely still wrapped around it’s soft but oh-so-lasting veil of it. Love it.
19 Poudre is one of my favourite Chanels. The original 19 turns mouth puckeringly sour (in a bad way!) on my skin but Poudre is beautiful.
I love me a good powder scent too. What even is too much powder? 😉
That happened to me with the Chanel 19 too. I always wondered if the Chanel 19 Poudre would do the same thing. Now, after seeing you write this, I feel like I need to try it.
Oh no, too bad about your experience with No. 19. I have the edt and edp; I think that I like the edt on me a bit more. The Poudre is so beautiful. Glad I have all 3!
No. 19 Poudre is easy enough to find that you may still stumble across a bargain. It’s definitely FBW. Good luck!
Back to work on Monday morning already, the weekends are never long enough.
I’m wearing Diva from Emmanuel Ungaro. My eye landed on the bottle yesterday, then Majokkobiachan mentioned divas, so that made the choice obvious 🙂 .
Gaynor, since you are so far ahead of us, AND I am always so late getting here to read comments, your Monday morning posts are like my warning that the weekend is just about over 🙂
Hope it was a decent Monday!
SOTD = and Cake
Great gourmand! I may have mentioned I tried to purchase this a while back with the previous to last discount code but was unable to. I tried again with the latest (although from several months ago) and was eventually successful!
In other news, for those of you who are or have relatives still working, it’s great to analyze the 401(k) impact of less than generous to very generous matching:
https://www.wsj.com/personal-finance/retirement/i401k-plans-retirement-employers-60b1dd1a?st=fhyAnE&reflink=article_copyURL_share
I still have tried nothing from and! Glad to hear Cake is good at least.
You really get along with the scents from and!
I’m wearing 4160 Tuesdays Hush Hush parfum and dreaming of Almond Croissant lotion!
I am trying to ignore the AC lemming ….
I was so glad they were going to start selling at Ulta, but so far Ulta has none of the BBW things I want, including this.
The BBW I purchased my croissant delights is RIGHT NEXT to an Ulta. I was chatting with the Ulta sales lady at checkout and she said they’re only going to be stocking a small number of scents from BBW, and one “Ulta Specific” scent called Juniper Breeze, which I swear was in BBW line up back in the day..? Anyway, I don’t know if she was talking about that specific Ulta or what they’ll offer nationwide.
Huh. That’s too bad. Ulta is 5 minutes from me, BBW is 30+. Oh well! I mostly wanted the banana stuff.
So does everyone else apparently. I’ve been there 3 times since it was released and they’re always sold out.
Ah, then just as well I probably will not make it to the mall. Thanks!
A beautiful day here for a change, 🌞 and temps only in the mid-70’s with much lower humidity. I really wanted to turn off the a/c and open the windows but the AQIndex has remained ‘unhealthy’ and is slowly going up so I didn’t. Hopefully soon🤞! Went in our little pool for a bit and ran a few errands just to get out of the house for awhile.
Leaving the ‘blue’ behind and going for ‘purple’ both in my clothes and in my SOTD, Halle Berry Pure Orchid from a mini I’ve had for years. Layered over various blackberry and orchid body products, it’s a nice slightly sweet summer floral.
I must get to BBW soon to check out that Almond Croissant; it sounds like it was made for me!
I just obtained the Almond Croissant today. I didn’t even know I had awards and got it for free. I like it, but I also liked the Caramel Vanilla. You might want to check that one out too.
Nothing beats free! Good on you!
Yes!
Thanks! Both sound just what I like. Congrats on free!
I think I actually like the Caramel Vanilla better, so I went back and got that today.
Good Monday Morning NST!
I have lined up my colognes for this hot day. Currently wearing Honore Payan Vetyver and when that wears off I’ll switch to Honore Payan Santal, both light citrus-dominated colognes infused with their respective dominant notes.
File these two under: wonderful oddball vintage things I’ve found at estate sales and antique markets. I’ve just tried to find out more about the company…they are a very old Grasse family-run parfumerie that has been making fragrance since the late 1800s. Recently (2002) they merged with Rigaud, or at least that’s what the blurbage on Fragrantica says.
My cute 1 oz bottles and labels do not align with what is available on their website today, so they have to be vintage, but not that old based on the label design. The aromachemicals they contain are well-tucked away and the fragrances themselves smell very natural and seem to use good materials.
I would compare them with some of the 1990s mall shop offerings from early L’Occitane, Crabtree, etc. All in all, a delightful mystery and perfect to quench the summer heat of Provence…or Los Angeles.
Oh, those scents sound intriguing. I love citrus forward scents. 🙂
Le Plus Beau Jour de ma Vie for a last shot of perfume before we head out into the woods for another week of Off insect repellent.
I hope it keeps on the bugs away!
A perfect finale and au revoir to a week without fragrance, cazaubon!
Have a great trip!
Enjoy! I’d happily spend a week in Off in the forest if the air quality would improve! As much as I love camping, not now.
Adios, and have fun!
Another hot one today. I’m getting cabin fever but it’s too hot to go out for any nonessential item. My five days of freedom has expired and I’m back to work tonight. And because I had time on my hands, I did a little search and looky what I found:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/257196584857?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=257196584857&targetid=2450249296795&device=m&mktype=pla&googleloc=1025846&poi=&campaignid=21214315381&mkgroupid=188184246123&rlsatarget=pla-2450249296795&abcId=9407526&merchantid=110316362&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21214315381&gbraid=0AAAAAD_QDh_pH29DC_wmbGaajRO9Zn-RJ&gclid=Cj0KCQjwjvfSBhDpARIsAEiOpSuu4khQY23tA9l8–5j5LQbS4_sez6FyRMBfpXjJIyPGx5jnWe-s8EaAlSEEALw_wcB
After laughing at the above, I’ll disclose I’m wearing the lovely Lalique EDP from the little sample spray that came with my Cabochon Ring. Still loving both…🙂
I loved that lotion but the pricing is a bit aspirational.
“Aspirational” is quite diplomatic. That’s the old 90’s packaging, not the early 2000’s so it’s been sitting in someone’s vanity or bathroom for maybe 30+ years? 🙃
That’s my guess! No, thanks.
I’ve never found lotion to age very well. Bath oils, on the other hand, often hold up extremely well. I have a number of the Mary Chess Roman bath oils, which presumably are decades old, and they smell wonderful.
Lol! It says 25 people have viewed it today. It’s probably all of us.
I’m joining you in cabin fever, not due to the heat (temps only in the mid-70’s) but due to the AQIndex not moving beyond ‘unhealthy.’ I’m an ‘outside’ person in all kinds of weather, and as bad as Covid was, at least I could go outside! The last thing the weatherman on the news said last night was ‘Don’t open your windows tonight.’ 😡
Yesterday I was in Guerlain Pampelune; I layered it over a lemon vanilla lotion for a haul trip to get groceries. I kept getting whiffs of it in the store. I have to say, it was a great combination.
It’s another hot, dry week ahead. Stay cool and hydrated! I’m hoping the forecast is correct in that temperatures will drop next week.
I should take my Pampelune out on the next warm day, it has the juiciest top notes and a wonderful dry down. We’re cool and foggy in N. SF, it wouldn’t quite fit the bill today.
Grapefruit + lemon + vanilla would be a great twist on a Creamsicle. Now I want a frozen confection…
Creamsicle pops were my favorite as a kid. Now I want one too…
Hi all and happy Monday! My SOTD is Lancome’s Sikkim, dry as a bone leather/chypre and perfect for today’s cool and foggy weather. I’m close to thunking my bottle, which I won’t replace. It’s nice but I’m moving on from that genre, I think.
On the walk up to my office, I overheard a few parrots squawking overhead. I do love those quirky little guys!
I love parrots so long as they don’t live in my yard!
I adore them but it was surprising that they are in the colder part of SF. I usually see them in North Beach.
There are a couple clusters of them in Rehoboth Beach Delaware…they are shockingly noisy and would be very bummed if they lived near me, but it’s great fun to go see them.
Wait, there are parrots in Rehoboth Beach?!?
Ok, I have seen the nests many many times but that did seem weird so I googled …sorry, everyone in Rehoboth calls them parrots but they are parakeets, so they are a variety of parrot.
https://friendsofbigshout.com/the-wild-parrots-er-parakeets-of-rehoboth-beach/
Sounds like I need to sniff the Sikkim that I have in the Perfume Stash soon.
I love the woods, and mossy/leather dry down. It definitely scratched that itch for a good leather scent.
Fragrantica has aldehydes in the notes but I can’t detect any.
Wearing the 1st Coco because I figured, why not? Made a dentist appointment for Wednesday. My partials don’t seem to be fitting quite right.
Shoot, hope they can get them adjusted.
Anything dental-related is nerve racking, I hope it’s sorted out soon and you have minimal discomfort.
I’m headed for a new crown in a week, and my dentist is so gentle but it’s still stressful.
Popping in from work. I’m feeling a bit moody today. I’m wearing Shalimar Millesime Jasmin.
I had a good day until late afternoon and now a bit moody myself! Hope we both wake up cheerful tomorrow.
🤞
Sorry about the mood but you smell great 😊
Hugs! At least there is perfume.
Popping by to say that I’m wearing PdN’s Sacrébleu Intense, I haven’t worn it for ages.
A niche classic 🙂
Since the weather forecasters can’t decide when today’s rain and storms are supposed to arrive and the AQIndex refuses to move out of ‘unhealthy,’ it’s another ‘inside’ day for me and my plans for a trip to the pool and the botanic garden are cancelled.
Staying with purple and blackberry in my SOTD, Falling in Love Summer. This flanker no longer appears to be available and I can’t find any notes for it, but it’s less sweet than the original and a bit softer with more florals added. Nice!👍
Looking forward to Wednesday, when it ‘appears’ our weather will bear some semblance of normalcy and I’ll be able to go outside again without fearing for my health!🤞
Shoot…hope you have gotten all sorts of good things accomplished while you are stuff at home!
Hope you can get to the botanic garden sometime soon, Laila.
The AQI hasn’t been an issue for me lately. Just the usual summertime ozone pollution here. But it has been stinking hot both yesterday and today, in the triple digits. I saw 103F this afternoon on one of my weather apps.
Las Vegas probably isn’t much hotter than this!
SOTD = back to commando again.
That is freaking hot! Sorry Jalapeno.
The record down in Denver for this date is a scorching 105 degrees F. Thank God that didn’t get touched!
I hope you get a break from the heat soon. It’s been in the 80’s here, but still humid.
I’ll take heat over humidity any day. Teflon kitty has been enjoying it, and has been more vocal than usual the past 3 days or so. She hates winter almost as much as you do.
So sorry, Jalapeno!
Thankfully, the heat is supposed to dial things back starting tomorrow. Sure hope so!
Wow, 103F is ungodly hot! Did you see a man with horns beside the road with a pitchfork?
That’s hellish for sure. I might enjoy a British Mule cocktail on a day like that.
There are still quite a few farmers in the area, so folks with pitchforks aren’t unusual. But guys with horns are thankfully absent, unless they are school mascots. 😉
Hi all, my SOTD is Banana Republic W, a zippy refreshing green scent with LOV, clementine, and a musk dry down.
Cheap thrills heads up! If anyone loves Trader Joe’s home scents, their Neroli Blossom room speray is delightful, it smells so welcoming and clean. I purchased a few bottles. I haven’t tried the hand soap. I also tried their Vitamin C serum, it’s cheap and I saw skin brightening, but it was a little irritating, so sensitive skinned folks take note.
Has anyone tried the new Tiempe Passate by Antonia’s Flowers? I heard it was available again but haven’t heard if it’s good or not. I am nearing the end of my old bottle…
