French niche line Histoires de Parfums has launched This is Not a Blue Bottle 1.8 Sold Out!, a unisex follow-up to 2016's This is Not a Blue Bottle.
For 25 years, Histoires de Parfums has written stories on skin — memories, instinct, emotion.
This Is Not a Blue Bottle 1/.8 begins a new chapter: a fragrance that refuses definition and lives purely in feeling.
Not meant to be explained — only experienced. The moment it meets you, it becomes your story.

It doesn’t smell like a flower or a spice. It smells like the way I feel when I’m confident, free, strong. In one word: invincible. SOLD OUT! is an idea, an emotion, a sensation. So let’s put it this way: it smells like the best version of yourself. It’s something very intimate, and I hope that intimacy touches something universal. Everyone can make it their own — their perfume. — Gérald Ghislain
Histoires de Parfums This is Not a Blue Bottle 1.8 Sold Out! is available in 15, 60 and 120 ml Eau de Parfum.

Um, what? I am personally not terribly opposed to an explanation/description of how a perfume smells.
Nor am I, but it is a common enough thing.
In this case also don’t care because am not in any way invested in this series, plus given this series’ inspirations (this is not a pipe & etc) it does kind of make sense, both not saying what it smells like and naming it “sold out”.
I put the ingredients listed on their website into ChatGPT and it says it will smell like this… pretty standard profile…up to and including the vanilla 😆
woody–amber aromatic family with citrus freshness and a warm vanilla base
Yeah, I glanced at the ingredients list too 🙂
Of course, it is not going to tell you everything, but hey, chatgpt is probably right.
