Histoires de Parfums This is Not a Blue Bottle 1.7 ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 4 April 2024 12 Comments

French niche line Histoires de Parfums has launched This is Not a Blue Bottle 1.7, a unisex follow-up to 2016's This is Not a Blue Bottle.

This is a sunbeam, a radiant joy that enchants every instant. A Coco-Rose warmth undulates between Sandalwood and White Musk. A vibrant ecstasy.

And suddenly, the horizon, bordered by Ozonic shades, lights up in a manifestation of joy... A silent glow of Pink Pepper warms our being, adding its imprint of Coco-Rose-colored happiness to the grand book of memories. Then, in a white embrace, all in Lily of the Valley and Frangipani, we find ourselves comforted under the most favorable auspices. Sovereign radiance, endless wonder, a sunbeam soft as a kiss of Sandalwood and White Musk. Ardent emotion of a Vanilla-ethereal warmth that caresses. Hearts open, souls blossom, intoxicated with light, in a moment of gentle fervor.

Histoires de Parfums This is Not a Blue Bottle 1.7 is available in 15, 60 and 120 ml Eau de Parfum.

I hate the name. I also hate that I love their bottles.

The bottle looks great! It is not my favorite name either, but I don’t entirely hate it.

Wait. How can you have a flanker of a scent that has the same name as the scent itself? I’m probably missing something that is so trés chic that 99.9% of the population understands it but my simple mind can’t grasp this. I do not understand this. Does not compute! 🤖 The bottle is quite a departure and I really like that.

I thought the same thing so we both must be missing something.

      Maybe the 1.7?

Oh, I’m sure you’re right! My brain automatically computed that to ounces when I saw it. 🙃

It did me too and then I looked again and thought that must be it.

It is not a flanker and I did not tag it as such, it is one in a series of numbered fragrances.

Ah, see I told you I’m simple minded! Thanks for explaining. Apparently I’m easily confused.

Nah, you are just paying attention to more important matters in life than perfume names 🙂

I’m honestly surprised they still pursue this line. I’ve always wanted to try them but it’s too confusing….

I am surprised too but I suppose they must sell well? Then again I have only tried I think 2 of them.
