Serge Lutens La Nuit Tombee ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 18 February 2026 4 Comments

French niche house Serge Lutens has introduced La Nuit Tombée, a new fragrance in the brand's Collection Noire.

Tender is the night when the day prepares to close its eyes.

In the waning winter sun, prolonging our shadows and memories into infinity, darkness suddenly weighs down with all its might on the light of what our lives once were. Smoothly, elegantly, it lets us glimpse its uproars and silences in the recesses of our memory. At a slight distance, its dark skin is smoked with incense, cedar and patchouli.

It's a chypre that dares not speak, a shiver in the night, a contract between the intimate and the personal/quiet self. When night falls, the shadow speaks like a mist on Earth.

Serge Lutens La Nuit Tombée is available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

I wonder if we’ll be able to try this in North America. Holts carries some of the line but not all of it. It’s interesting to me.

Also Ssense, maybe? But I am no longer paying much attention to distribution so I don’t know.

I’m keen to try this. Serge Lutens went off in a few directions that didn’t appeal so much to me, but some of the recent releases have been more my thing.
