British niche line Ormonde Jayne will launch Vetiveria, a new fragrance in the Four Corners of the Earth collection, next week.
Let your mind wonder to another land, another fantasy world. An arrestingly magical blend centred around one of earth’s most generous ingredients, Vetiver. A sparkling blend of Timur pepper and Lime fizz with first spray. A light floral heart of stirring jasmine and homely lavender warm the skin. The Vetiver note, like a brilliant jewel, shines from afar, growing in lustre with time. A truly refreshing blend that is bound to leave a lasting and joyful impression.
Additional notes for the citrus floral include juniper, sage, snowbell, orange, moss, cistus and tonka bean.
Ormonde Jayne Vetiveria will be available in 10 and 88 ml Eau de Parfum.

Hmm. I don’t see those notes playing well with the base she seems to use for every perfume, at least what I know of it from my sample set.
If you mean iso e super, I would think it would work fine with vetiver, lavender & lime, assuming you like iso e super, would be like a somewhat deeper version of Zizan, maybe? Terre d’Hermes also has iso e super and vetiver, with grapefruit instead of lime, and then you’ve got Lalique Encre Noire, a deeper, fruitier vetiver + iso e super.
Iso e super is in tons of fragrances, way more than people realize. I think it stands out in the OJ line because several of her fragrances appear to use lots of it without other heavy base notes.
I love vetiver. So it’s probably wishful thinking to expect something more typical and unique under this name than a “shines from afar” sounds to me.
Anyway, I sure will look for our it and smell it myself!
Do note that they call it a citrus floral, not a woody…I am not thinking it is necessarily meant to please a vetiver fiend 🙂
