Australian botanical brand Aesop will introduce Aurner, a new unisex floral fragrance, next month.
Aurner was developed by perfumer Céline Barel, and features notes of magnolia leaf, chamomile and cedar.
“There was this challenge of creating a new floral fragrance for the brand that would push the envelope of floralcy in order recruit new consumers and to broaden the olfactive horizon of the brand,” said Barel, who called Aesop “nonconformist.” “It was really a challenge to create a true floral fragrance that would be genderless and appealing to different cultures across the globe,” she continued. “We had to come up with a proposition that would be very bold.”
Aesop Aurner will be available in 50 ml Eau de Parfum.

I wonder what exactly is floral in this one? Chamomile? I’d hardly count that as floral. This composition sounds like it’ll be kind of medicinal. And what do magnolia leaves smell like? Well, there’s an Aesop near me, so I’ll have to go try to sniff it next month.
No idea…it sounds very green to me, but also I am quite sure there are more than 3 notes.
This is Aesop’s first fragrance since its acquisition by L’Oreal? God help us.
