Happy Friday! It's also World Intellectual Property Day. Today, we're celebrating Frederick Law Olmsted's birthday. Our community project for today: wear a fragrance that connects to a public park you love, or wear something green (Olmstead liked greenery over showy flowers), or that evokes a Frederic Law Olmsted quote, or ?? More reading: When Parks Were Radical: More than 150 years ago, Frederick Law Olmsted changed how Americans think about public space at The Atlantic, 8 Famous Parks Designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, Plus a Tiny One You May Not Know About at How Stuff Works, or find lots of information at Olmsted Network. The Frederic Law Olmsted home in Brookline, Massachusetts is administered by the National Park Service.
What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.
For the lotus and other aquatic plants in the fountain at the Bethesda Terrace in Central Park NYC, I'm wearing Hermès Le Jardin de Monsieur Li.
Reminder: 5/3 will be Chypre Friday! Wear a chypre fragrance of any sort — classic or modern or post-modern. This is a repeat from 2016.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2024, where I'll try (but usually fail) to have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

Wearing Clinique Wrappings for the CP.
Happy Friday! 🌞
Great pick, and a happy Friday to you pl67!
Thank you, Robin!
I agree with Robin, that’s a good one! One of my favorites.
Ah, you are smelling fantastic today!
Thank you, Jalapeno!
Capping my week of Mugler with the greenest thing I own, Aura EDT— dazzlingly, psychedelically green. It’s always guaranteed to make me happy.
Such a great scent and bottle.
I should have bought the edt. I tried it once and thought it to be really cheerful. Compared with the edp which is more dark and swampy, which is great too.
My reaction exactly! I liked the vividness of the EDT better than the twilit feeling of the EDP, though they’re both terrific.
Happy Friday! Ahhhh…that photo makes me miss NYC and Central Park.
No matter the CP, I’m always happy to wear something green. So, I just did beyond hajusuuri-level sprays of PdN Le Temps d’Une Fete. I first bought this scent in 1990 in a wonderful, long-closed store called La Bouquetière in SF. I found it again at Aedes in NYC a year or so later so bought it there for years until it was discontinued (the first time). When it came back, I bought more and have been hoarding my 100 ml bottle ever since.
My first thought for the CP was something to honor my absolute favorite statue in Central Park. The King Jagiello Monument. His photo is on my phone screen. Such a handsome, imposing fellow. But, alas, I don’t think I have any Polish scents.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_Jagiello_Monument
Le Temps is one of my favorite scents, I’m conserving my bottle too.
The green ones take a little bit more spray, don’t they?
Hello all!
Blatantly ignored (forgot) about the poll today as I’m wearing Galaad from Lubin. I actually thought I was grabbing Idole but I wasn’t upset!
Finals are coming up and I’ve got a ton of studying to do. I really crammed my summer full so I’m ready for my two weeks in between.
Have a great day everyone!
Oh good luck studying for finals Coumarin!! Just writing those words brought back that mildly queasy pre-test feeling….
Yes, good luck with your finals, and enjoy your break!
Best of luck with those finals!
I’m wearing Un Jardin en Méditerranée, which is green and aromatic at its base, and which has a fig that I don’t hate. CP points for me.
A fig you don’t hate made me laugh!
I relate to the ‘fig that I don’t hate’ comment for sure lol. This is me with this scent and Caligna:) Both figs I don’t hate:). Lol
I was thinking of wearing Un Jardin sur le Nil, but it is another cool and grey day, and I enjoy this fragrance most when it is hot and sunny.
So I am in Goutal Eau du Sud – also very green and aromatic but works better on a sunless day for me.
Glannys, I adore that scent-you small so good 🙂
Eau de Sud is so lovely.
Thirding Eau de Sud as a great scent and choice for today.
Hello and tgif!
Sotd is EL Private Collection Legacy, the best of the 5. Got a FB because there was a 25% discount on the EL site. Green and herbaceous, I am going to enjoy this a lot come Summer.
25% off is always better! I am sure you smell great and one day I will manage to smell these…I admit I did not wear any of the originals in that series anyway.
Oooooooooh, 25% off is tempting.
I’m in a sample of Champs Élysées edp picked up at the newly redesigned Guérlain stand at Holt Renfrew Ogilvy in Montréal. No new perfumes, but they now have a large beautiful centrally placed spot on the beauty floor, opposite Chanel. We lodged an official complaint with the manager about lack of stock in the Légendaires line. Tons of makeup and skin care, which I have no interest in, and the usual Art et Matière bottles flanked by lovely bee bottle factices. I was very happy to be able to purchase two special decorative caps that I hadn’t been able to source in the US, the jeweled gold bee and the ombré cap designed for Néroli Plein Sud. I don’t like that scent but the cap is lovely, and not very expensive.
Congratulations on the fancy caps.
You smell wonderful and garden-like!
Cool about the caps!
Thanks for the update!
Happy Friday!
I am trying a natural house today called Puente Perfumes and I am liking all of the samples so far. Today I am wearing Eaden which is a citrusy floral, quite fitting for the community project- it’s something you could smell in a spring orchard. They also have a a beautiful tuberose and a green iris. Really recommend if you like natural houses on the vein of Hiram Green.
I really liked both Eaden and Iris Doux, but thought all of the scents I tried were well done.
I’m in L’artisan Fleur di Liane, which just smells so good, and also I’m in synch for the CP. Hope everyone’s day includes one thing that is good enough to smile about.
I have managed that, and hope you found one good thing too Carole!
I did find something worth smiling about today, thank you! I finally spotted some lilac bushes in my area. They’re not quite in bloom yet.
I like parks well enough, but much prefer real forests, preferably without any sounds of trafic.
For the shade, the smell and the sense of peace of a good forest I’m wearing Bois d’Encens.
Ditto your park preferences!
☺️
I am totally the opposite; I like my nature paved. LOL!
Same!
Like Hercule Poirot!
Both forests and parks are great, in my opinion. Just in different ways.
True enough, and I love the Jardin de Luxembourg for instance.
you smell great!
Thank you! It took my a long time to really appreciate this one, but once I did, it was true love. Such a deceptively simple scent.
Forests are wonderful. But we do need both IMHO 🙂
True enough! Bois d’Encens reminds me of forests rather than parks though.
For the CP, I was reminded of the time I was in an urban public park and spotted, among the perennials planted by the city, a small patch of basil. I wondered whether it was an apartment dweller’s patch or if it had been seeded naturally. In any case I am wearing Mandarine Basilic. I think this is the only scent I own with a basil note.
Hope your tooth is not giving you grief today.
No, all fixed!
Happy Friday!
Going with the green, I’m wearing Synthetic Jungle today💚
Happy Friday, allo! You smell great.
👏👏👏
I was tempted to but this one, but did not. Had planned to think my sample of it but couldn’t find it! How is this wearing for you?
I love it and since most fragrance is fleeting on me, I’m happy that it’s got some staying power.
If you can’t find your sample, ping me!
Good to know, and thank you!
Hello!
Hope everyone is doing well 🌹
In Bucoliques de Provence L’Artisan Parfumeur, after chatting about it yesterday, very lovely scent.
You smell lovely!
Thank you! ❤️
I dug out my sample of Alchemologie Nethermead, named for a meadow in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park…mossy woods with violets.
Alchemologie has a small but lovely catalogue of all-natural perfumes and they all work well on me (not always the case for naturals, unfortunately). My sample has been in the drawer for a while but is aging well, just like Prospect Park. 🙂
That sounds lovey! Off to search for it.
Love it when a perfume gets better with time! 🕰️
I chose Papillon Dryad for the CP, in honor of Washington Park (the one in Portland) and the many “sub-parks” within its boundaries. In particular, the Japanese Garden, possibly the most beautiful public garden I’ve ever visited.
I spent a couple of peaceful hours there, soaking in the serenity. 😌
Have you visited the one in San Francisco? It’s in the middle of Golden Gate Park, and any time I get the chance to go to SF, I always make a point of visiting. It’s magical.
No, I haven’t had the pleasure. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of photos on its website, but from those that are there it almost looks like a hybrid of Portland’s Japanese Garden and Chinese (Lan Su) Garden.
Interesting. I just went looking on googlemaps; maybe there are more pics there.
Oh, there are lots on Insta, as it turns out — I was just surprised that the park’s own website hardly had any.
I chose vintage Chanel 19 edt for the CP, from a tiny bottle that came from an estate sale long ago.
The tree in the front yard is down, my husband did it all himself. I was impressed!
No 19 is wonderful. I have a somewhat vintage bottle from the 90’s. It has a grey cap and the juice is yellowish.
I’m impressed, too. Especially since you haven’t mentioned him having injured himself! A garden person I hired once advised me “never let your husband buy a chainsaw.” 😆
You smell great!
Glad your husband got that tree down without any incident!
So many AH-mazing petroglyphs yesterday! One location required a bit of a climb, and the trail was loose sand and rock. Going down was more difficult since I could see how high I had climbed and I got a little vertiginous. The worst thing about getting old for me is the loss of nerve. Now, before I do anything, I reflect and think to myself “How much damage will my body sustain if I fall/slip/trip?” 🤔
SOTD: From SSS web site-
“The floral heart features a beautiful natural mimosa extract teamed with jasmine, orange blossom, lilac, and beeswax to create the impression of a summer garden.”
While it does have some “showy” flowers of which Olmsted wasn’t the biggest fan, it does have some Vetiver which is green so I’m counting it.
Apropos to nothing, I visited the Josie Bassett Morris cabin yesterday. Talk about a woman doing things women aren’t suppose to do! She definitely needs a book and maybe a movie about her life. Below is the NPS link about her life, which is much drier than her actual life.
https://www.nps.gov/dino/learn/historyculture/josiebassettmorris.htm
Here’s a photo of her cabin. She built is mostly alone, as well as digging canals for watering crops and animals, planted an orchard, grew all her own vegetables. She was a bootlegger and a friend to The Hole in the Wall Gang (which isn’t too far away- the Hole in the Wall, that is), married five times, divorced four, and is rumored (there’s a LOT of rumors) to have tried to kill one husband with strychnine! Just a regular gal! 🤣
https://www.instagram.com/stories/vantasticviews2/3354810695210965285?utm_source=ig_story_item_share&igsh=MWwyOGp1eXBjNnUxYw==
She seems quite a character, to put it mildly!
Fascinating story, thanks for posting!
It’s a cool and rainy day, so I am warming up with some Cuir de Lancome.
What a pretty scent, perfect for your weather.
Gorgeous SOTD!
For the CP, I just want to be close to the private “potager” I knew in France, where I learned to love cooking French dishes and smelling old stone and wooden beams. So, I have doused myself in Astier de Villatte Elixir du Dr Flair, something that is quickly becoming one of my favorite scents of all time.
Your description reminds me of “The Taste of Things.” We saw the very last showing at our local art house theater. It was beautiful.
I’ve never heard of that scent; I’ll have to see if I can find it.
Taking votes…I am working more now, plus volunteering and trying to get back into a regular yoga practice, plus all sorts of stuff. Anyway, it is getting harder to keep doing polls 6 days a week and I’m going to start by giving up one day. Monday would potentially be the best day, and thus every lazy weekend poll would become a lazy 3 day weekend poll.
The other option would be for me to turn every Friday poll into a lazy 3 day weekend poll? In which case we could move the weekly project to Thursday?
Opinions? (And I will post this again for the next few polls so hopefully everyone will have a chance to give their opinion, although do me a favor and only give it once)
Hi Robin,
My opinion is that as the manager of this site, you should do whatever is best for you. 3 day weekend polls will work on either a Monday or a Friday. Thank you so much for maintaining NST!
This!!
+1 this:)
Absolutely over to you Robyn! Adding my huge thanks for NST 🙂
My opinion is whatever works best for you, even if you have forgo a couple more days. M-W-F or Tues-Thurs-Sat for instance. It’s all good. ✌🏼
Ditto to all of the above!
I agree that it should be what works best for you. The rest of us can certainly adapt to whatever you decide.
Agreeing that whatever is best for you.
Robin,
Before I even read the other responses, my gut reaction was whatever works for you! I appreciate you and this lovely corner of the world.
I’ve been keeping you and your son in my thoughts this week.
Whatever is more convenient for you, Robin. We have made the Friday Community Project, into a Monday thru Friday cp. So even a Monday thru Friday and a weekend post would be fine.
I like this idea! If I can add a variation – have the lazy w/e poll stretch to Monday, and the CP poll stretch to Tuesday.
Whatever works for you will be fine with me! Quality over quantity 😉
Echoing the general feeling.
One vote for the lazy weekend poll stretching to Monday…
I agree with the others! We’re a flexible group and grateful for whatever works best for you, Robin.
I like that you are doing “all sorts of stuff.” That’s my favorite activity. 😀 But seriously, a long weekend format sounds good, now that you’ve suggested it. And since AnnieA mentioned stretching to Monday, I’ll second that.
I commented on pl67’s post above, but I would also like to add, like most others, that the best way is to do what works for you!
Just adding, as others have, whatever works best for you, Robin, we can all adapt to. We appreciate all you do to make this such a great site!🙏
What ever works for you Robin!
Yet another “whatever works best for you” vote!
Robin, I will put in a vote for skipping Monday. But you need to do what works best for you. We will adapt. 😉
Do the best way for you, Robin, we’re just grateful to be here 🌹
Robin, I’m joining the chorus of whatever works for you. And adding more gratitude for this wonderful space you’ve created.
I’ve also been thinking about you and your son this week💕
Seconding whatever works best for you and noting a slight preference to extend the weekend poll into Monday. Thanks for all you do!
Wearing Gris Charnel extrait today. While I love the extrait, I think that the edp is better. Yesterday’s move was rough. My grandmother kept demanding that she either goes back to the skilled nursing or someone take her home and take care of her for a few days. She won’t admit to the dementia but that’s not unusual. Currently on my way to work.
That’s a tough one Dawn.☹️ I hope she settles in and adjusts.
I’m currently going through a similar process with my parents who really need help but refuse to admit to that fact. I hope your grandmother adjusts as quickly as possible and I hope you won’t blame yourself.
Kudos for getting it done and not giving in. It’s so hard, I know. My mother gave us a heck of a time. Try to remember that it’s best for everyone.
So sorry you have to go thru this tough experience. I have a friend who’s going thru this with her mom (who is also a dear friend) and it’s really painful. 🤗
I am sorry you are going through it. I hope she gets used to it soon.
Sorry to hear that your Grandmother has had a rough start to her new location.
I was inspired by a lot of you this week, and went with L’Ombre Dans L’Eau. This is such a great scent! Why don’t I wear it all the time?
House twin!🙌
Wasn’t feeling green today since it was gray and overcast here this morning. The sun IS peeking out of the clouds this very minute, but I see the radar and trouble is on the way.
Instead I’m in Tam Dao and I’m going to take partial points because it makes me feel zen just liking parks and more specifically- being out in nature does.
The most exciting thing on my agenda today is my pre dinner barre class then tuning in to another episode of Fallout with the teen tonight. Is anyone else watching? It is…bizarre.
Just *like*
I saw that trouble too. Trying to get errands done today.
Same! I just got back from my grocery run.
My son loved it and binged it over a couple days 🙂
I could tell just by hearing bits from the other room that I would not be able to watch it. He did say it was great.
Bizarre is the right word … not sure which episode I’m watching …
I’ve got a yucky weather weekend in store here as well. Did errands today as a result.
When thinking of a garden, roses and herbs spring to my mind so I was planning to wear Strange Invisible Perfumes Aquarian Roses, which has rose and marjoram notes, but I could not find my bottle and picked Epic Gardenia instead. As luck would have it, my bush of gardenias that’s sitting on our front stairs waiting to be replanted just starting blooming and it’s a fierce, intoxicating scent, so I’m well in sync.
Photo of the first gardenia to open up: https://www.instagram.com/p/C6O06Clu5gj/?igsh=emV4dnIzenp1Mzk3
Yay! I do miss being able to keep gardenias.
Beautiful. I don’t like to wear gardenia scents but the scent IRL. Intoxicating is the word!
Lovely.
Apple and yogurt smoothie
As I read a newish Fragrantica article today I am wearing Penhaligon’s Elisabethan Rose first version/vintage to evoke the park at Sissinghurst castle, it’s a very dewy rose, not red, not tea, just pink and tonight like some others I have chosen No 19, the extrait and it made me recall my excitement when I realized my bottle is vintage.
You are a vintage Queen!
😃I’ve had that surprise more than once over the years.
That Penhaligon’s fragrance sounds beautiful.
It is, I miss the some of Penhaligon’s classic line up, they also discontinued Violetta, I am glad Fragantica added the vintage Elisabethan Rose at least.
The Arnold Arboretum, part of Boston’s Emerald Necklace, has an incredible lilac collaction, so I’m in Desarmant which is my favorite lilac scent. After an eye exam, I may go see if the lilacs are blooming at the Denver Botanic Gardens
Perfect! They are blooming here for sure.
I’m wearing Roxana Illuminated’s Greenwitch, which is probably a bit obvious.
Lovely. It’s been a while since I’ve worn that so I should go hunt it up
No CP for me today. I enjoyed yesterday’s Coco Noir so much that I spritzed-up again today. Happy Friday, all!
Yay!
The hand wants what the hand wants, doesn’t it?
Love that one, you smell elegant.
I’m a probably the least outdoorsy person here. I am wearing green though in Carven L’Eau de Toilette.
Oh, I like that one!
I remember your review for it.
I looked up your sotd, I bet you smell great.
It is very nice. Green and watery, like dewey leaves.
I’m in Eric’s Green Spell today, after all the recent mentions. Tonight will be a bit of JLS parfum. I haven’t found my HG green scent yet. Still looking for something mostly green and woody, with a touch of floral (not tuberose or gardenia,) a touch of musk. If anyone has a suggestion, do let me know!
Eris.
You have probably tried Chanel Bel Respiro? Annick Goutal Ninfeo Mio? Also, ELdO You or Someone Like You. Do they still sell Balmain Vent Vert?
I haven’t tried Ninfeo Mio, so I’ll put that on the list, thanks! Not sure if Vent Vert is still a going concern or not. I might have a bit of it hanging around somewhere. I know I have Ma Griffe, but that’s more of a floral, I think.
We’re scent twins today!
💚 This one is really growing on me.
Did you ever try Calvin Klein Truth for a green perfume?
Second Truth, it’s really good. I used to wear it a lot.
Two recommendations, okay! 👍🏻
No, I didn’t! I’ll look it up, thanks.
Those of us in the Chicago area are fortunate to have numerous parks designed by Olmstead as well as the first planned suburb in the U.S., the beautiful community of Riverside. And, like Olmstead, I too prefer greenery over showy flowers. For today’s cp, I was at first planning on wearing Balmain’s Vent Vert, my very favorite spring scent, but at the last minute I chose an oldie (and a cheapie!), Coty April Fields.
Although technically a flanker of Vanilla Fields, April Fields is very different and definitely a spring/summer scent. I don’t think it was available for very long, and I think I paid $5 for it on clearance years ago. The soft light green bottle is evocative of the scent within- mainly cucumber and ivy. It’s very fresh and really does smell like newly-mown grass. But it also includes notes of bergamot, lemon and pear mixed with rose, jasmine, water lily and wild LOTV. Base notes include orris, cedarwood, sandalwood, and musk. So it’s not as simple as its initial crisp and tart freshness makes it seem. I’m enjoying it very much!
Not sure of our weekend plans yet. Depending on the potential for stormy weather, we may go to our first ballgame of the year, or we may just stay close to home and attend our community civic orchestra’s benefit concert. Hope whatever you all have planned for the weekend, it’s a good one!🌹🌷
I was very disappointed in what a hard time I had finding a good Chicago / Olmsted pic on Flickr (licensed for creative commons use). I am sorry I did not manage!
Oh, no problem, Robin. For anyone interested, the first link you posted to ‘Fredrick Law Olmsted’ above takes you to a Wikipedia article that lists the Chicago parks he designed along with direct wiki links to the history of each and that also show photos of each of the parks.
Oh, good, I’m going to check out those links!
I preferred April Fields to the Vanilla. It’s really pretty.
Enjoy your weekend, no matter the weather!
Ok, now you’ve piqued my interest on April Fields!
For the CP, In the Arboretum by Nez.
Perfect!
2nd that!
Wearing Ormonde Woman for my favorite park, Discovery Park, in Seattle. We visit it quite often!
From the Seattle.gov website: Situated on Magnolia Bluff overlooking Puget Sound, Discovery Park offers spectacular views of both the Cascade and the Olympic Mountain ranges. The secluded site includes two miles of protected tidal beaches as well as open meadow lands, dramatic sea cliffs, forest groves, active sand dunes, thickets and streams.
That’s a great park! When I lived in Seattle I used to do the stairs at Golden Gardens as my workout. 🙂
I do those stairs regularly. I’ve even walked to the lighthouse at Discovery Park and back (we’re in Ballard). If you come to Seattle and want to do those GG stairs again, hit me up!
Discovery Park sounds amazing! If I get out to Seattle again, I will try to check it out.
It is so great!
Great fragrance and great park!
Thanks! ♥
Discovery Park is wonderful, and you smelled great in OJ Woman.
Yes and yes! Thanks!
I ought to have gone with one of the Jardins for today but I was feeling grittier and saltier, so Corsica Furiosa again it is! I think of this scent and Caligna as my two go-to “chaparral” fragrances — perfect when I want to evoke a sunbaked, south-facing slope full of some of California’s best-smelling natives.
You smell wonderful! How’s your knee?
Smell Bent The Yard Next Door for the CP today.
Long day of agonizing over cars yesterday, and I am seriously tired of the car market right now. I guess it’s our fault for wanting a reliable hybrid, which leaves us with the brand with the least inventory, used or new (Toyota). Yesterday a used car came up at auction; it went for more than $10k over listed price. Then our broker found us a “new” car that had been ordered 18 months ago and had just come in, only to have the financing fall through, so a broker bought it from the dealer and priced it $5k over MSRP; I’m not sure I want to pay a $5k premium on a new car. And there was another bidding war this week. In the meantime, the insurance told us two weeks ago that they were sending a cheque and we haven’t seen it yet.
But at least the new one-week rental this week has four doors (last week’s was a Ford Mustang convertible that was a major pain for three people to ride in). Baby steps, I guess!
Bidding wars for cars?!? 😖 Another sign of the impending apocalypse.
But I bet you smell great!
I know – such craziness, right?
Yes!
Wow, I’m sorry you’re having such a hard time. I guess the days of going to a local dealer and finding exactly what you want are over. It was really desperate times when bought my truck at the end of 2022 because there just was no stock anywhere and I ended up buying a truck with tons of junk I didn’t want. What about central and eastern Canada? If you found what you want would be worth having it shipped to you?
Sadly, that’s not a great option, at least for used. The one car we’ve test driven so far was still on the market because it was from back East, which we figured out when they gave us the Carfax report. The salt is so damaging that no one out here wants their cars. (And I have personal experience with this — we had to do a full engine rebuild when we moved out here because the engine block was so pitted from the salt that the car gave up.)
Ugh, yep, salt is a killer! I remember all the rusted out cars up in Illinois when I was growing up there. I hope something becomes available soon and you’re able to snap it up!
That sounds very stressful. Good luck. I hope you can find one without the huge markup soon.
I’m in the beautiful green of Ninfeo Mio for the cp. This one is kind of a comfort scent for me and I needed comfort this morning. Hoping for a stress free weekend please!
Also, a plug for swap meet! Go check it out and post your stuff if you haven’t yet. I’ve had some wonderful swaps so far, but I still have plenty of items to clear out.
I hope you have a peaceful weekend, too.
I appreciate it, Jalapeno. Wishing you a good and peaceful weekend as well.
I enjoyed reading more about Olmstead and learned a lot, such as how he designed many more parks than just Central Park, including ones out West and Niagara Falls. That made me think back to some childhood trips our parents took us on to Western sites such as Estes Park (Colorado), Grand Canyon, some of the Smoky Mountains, etc. (We were fortunate.) A favorite thing of mine was encountering the wildlife in those places, including birds and also many little critters such as chipmunks.
You can see where this was leading me! And yes, I’m wearing Zoologist Chipmunk, and enjoying pleasant memories of those visits of the past and feeding tidbits to those delightful and all-too-tame little creatures, with their adorable cheeks full of whatever we’d given them!
I also read through his quote, and this one didn’t seem quite to fit with the others and made me pause and ponder: “Nature has a way of reminding us of our own mortality, and parks are a powerful reminder of the fragility and beauty of life.” I think it’s true and beautiful.
I love the link to Chipmunk!
Nice segue to the Zoologist and you’re right, chipmunks are adorable.
I was struck by that quote too! Wonder what the context was…
SOTD = Eris Parfum Green Spell
Woot! I wore this because I love it and perfumelover67 wore it yesterday!

In other news, I heard on the radio that one of the home improvement stores, either Home Depot or Lowe’s, is having a half Halloween 🎃 sale on outdoor inflatables, or could be indoors depending upon how big one’s house is. Anyway, what the – – is all I can say …
GAAH! Too freaking early for Halloween stuff! I don’t care what they’re calling it. 🤬
I know, right?
That’s crazy! I’ve been seeing 4th of July stuff here.
There’s a dearth of holidays these days!
You smell wonderful!
I am not surprised about the halloween sale. I am sure Fall stuff will be showing up in stores by the end, if not before, of next month, like last year.
Quickly popping in between loads of laundry and feeding Teflon kitty her dinner.
SOTD = Calyx Prescriptives. My bottle still smells great: fruity and green at the same time, with a hint of rose. More complex than the Clinique version.
You smell wonderful!
Thank you!
Nice!
Very happy I saw this bottle right when the changeover was happening. I didn’t think twice!
Swoon😍!
Good stuff, ain’t it?
That is such a great scent, you smell fruity good, my Calyx lives in the fridge.
Since I have air conditioning, my Calyx hangs out in the A/C with me. I’ve also kept the box for it to protect against light.
