Mugler Angel Fantasm ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 10 April 2024 23 Comments

Mugler will launch Angel Fantasm, a new flanker to 1992's Angel.

In 1992, Mugler revolutionized perfumery by introducing the first ever gourmand fragrance, poured into what would become one of the most mythical perfume bottles in history: Angel’s blue star. Today, Mugler is proud to reveal a fierce new black star in the Angel galaxy. A new, tantalizing temptation: Angel Fantasm Eau de parfum sensuelle. Turning the myth into the wildest fantasy, this sublimely sensual Angel unleashes the ultimate indulgence.

A ferociously feminine ambery gourmand fruity, tantalizing juicy fruitiness with luscious creamy coconut accord and skin-light patchouli. Angel eau de parfum’s sensual voluptuous facet is stretched and amplified in Angel Fantasm. A fierce skin addiction captured in a fascinating black star bottle, the first to shine in Angel’s galaxy. Turn on your fantasm and morph into your fiercest fantasies with Angel Fantasm Eau de Parfum sensuelle.

Mugler Angel Fantasm will be available in 50 ml refillable Eau de Parfum (and almost certainly in other sizes as well).

I sure like the look of that bottle but I don’t have high hopes for the contents. You know I’ll try it if I spot it in the wild, though.

Oddly I don’t find it appealing…opaque black would get my attention though.

I’m a hopeless sap for anything ombré, as long as it’s executed well, like the Hermès Ombre des Merveilles bottle, midnight blue and spangled with stars. I loved the look of the EL Beyond Paradise bottles, even though I thought the scents weren’t worth much.

I doubt I will see this in person, but will try it if I do.
I think the Limited Edition Glamorama was in a black bottle. I should have bought that one.

“A ferociously feminine ambery gourmand fruity, tantalizing juicy fruitiness with luscious creamy coconut accord and skin-light patchouli.”

There’s not much about that jumble of adjectives that makes we want to come anywhere near it. But the bottle does look pretty cool.

Thank you Robin, fruity, coconut, it rather sounds like croisière edition 2020 and iced star.

Black doesn’t conjure coconut for me but I do like the bottle in black and gourmand means I shall give it a sniff.

I wonder if the bottle is clear and the juice is black, a la Gaga Fame?

I also wonder if it’s just a watered down version of the OG Angel…

I’m pretty sure it will be ambroxan Angel. 🙁

“Ambroxan Angel” is an alliterative NOPE!

In case you are wondering, alliteration is when multiple words in a phrase or sentence start with the same letter.

I’ll smell this if I have an opportunity, which I probably won’t. The fierce fruity copy is kind of exhausting.
