Paco Rabanne will launch Olympéa Flora, a new flanker to 2015’s Olympéa fragrance for women…
Tuesday scent of the day 1/3
It’s Tuesday and the 10th day of Christmas (lords a-leaping), plus National Chocolate Covered Cherry Day. Birthdays: Lucretia Mott and John Ronald Reuel Tolkien. What fragrance are you wearing?
I’m in Aftelier Candide, and I’m taking points because while it doesn’t make me think of magenta, it fits the description of Viva Magenta perfectly otherwise: “brave and fearless, and a pulsating color whose exuberance promotes a joyous and optimistic celebration”. Those of you who don’t see perfume in color (or who hate this particular color), remember you can approach this project howsoever you like! Tea at the moment is Upton New England Chai (sent to me by a very kind reader, thank you!) with a splash of half-and-half.
Reminder: on 1/6, wear a fragrance to match Viva Magenta, Pantone’s color of the year for 2023…
The daily lemming
From La Montaña, a reed diffuser in Alfredo's Café: "Set on the dining-room credenza or desk in your home office, La Montaña's 'Alfredo's Café' reed diffuser delivers a rich aroma all day long. Evoking the warmth of a Spanish village square, it opens with notes of Coffee, Tobacco and Brandy, recreating the ambiance of bustling local bistros", $50 for 120 ml at Net A Porter, where you'll also find the candle (220g for $60), plus a discovery set with samples of the brand's room mists (9 x 2.5 ml for $35).
