What We Do Is Secret Je M’en Fous ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 21 July 2023 4 Comments

Niche line What We Do Is Secret has launched Je M'en Fous, a new aldehydic citrus fragrance.

The wind picks up, we take a corner fast and then up into the hills—sunglasses, warm skin. We are being beautiful together. So what? Maybe the party finished. Maybe we need a ride home. That’s cool—let’s just walk. Let’s hitch a ride. Let’s swim in dawn—get made new. Let’s see what happens.

Je M'en Fous (I DON'T CARE) is a brief impression of Santa Monica in June 1999. Crisp, chic, citrus.

Je M'en Fous was developed by perfumer David Apel. The notes include mandarin, bergamot, neroli, crisp aldehydes, jasmine, lavender, salicylates, ambrette seeds, ambrox and lentisque.

What We Do Is Secret Je M'en Fous is available now at Luckyscent, $195 for 50 ml Eau de Parfum.

Wait. I missed the name change. I loved “Lab On Fire” as a name. Maybe with global warming the name seemed to on the nose for a fragrance company? What We Do Is Secret just makes me think of the Vegas strip. But I doubt I am the top demographic they are trying to reach 🙁

Crisp, chic, citrus all sounds good.

They have long used both names for different things, but it’s all the same company…I don’t know why.

I love the name, but citrus aldehydic is a big no. Shame.
