Happy Friday and happy National Candy Day! Our community project for today: wear a fragrance inspired by candy, or wear Prada Candy or any other fragrance named for a candy of any kind, or forget the gourmands but wear a fragrance with at least one note that recalls a flavor in one of your favorite candies.
What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.
I went the easy route, with Prada Candy.
Reminder: on 11/11, wear something simple and comforting. Suggested by Cobrarose.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2022, where I'll try (but obviously sometimes fail) to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

Back home from our trip and finally earning some community points in Demeter Licorice, which smells startlingly realistic, one of the most accurate things they’ve ever done. I know a lot of people hate black licorice but I love it, and I am happy to smell like one of those old-fashioned penny-candy licorice cigars (for a little while — it fades to generic sweetness pretty quickly).
You smell divine, from a kindred black licorice lover🖤
Welcome home pyramus!
You smell great! I love Demeter Licorice!
I’m also in Prada Candy today. Why don’t I wear this more often? I am missing my spicy woods fall perfumes but this has been a fun week of sweets!
Every time I wear a perfume I haven’t in awhile I always ask that question!
I frequently find myself saying silly things like, “I should never wear any perfume except this one!” But of course, I change my mind the next day 🙂
I am sure we will be a decent sized club.
Petit Guerlain for Les Anis Flavigny candies in les fleurs de l’oranger flavor
I also love the Rose flavor.
in laws are safe and sound in Canada
So glad, and you smell great!
Yay for your family getting home safe!
I meant to wear Iris Ganache but accidentally ended up in Guerlain French Kiss so I’ll say it’s for candied violets
That works 🙂
Good morning and TGIF!
Sotd is also Prada Candy.
Today’s picture makes me crave chocolate pretzels. I love the salty-sweet combo.
I love the salty sweet combo too!😋
I love chocolate pretzels! Or chocolate-covered salted peanuts that my local candy shop makes.
Chocolate covered sunflower seeds are a great sweet & salty combo. I haven’t seen any for a while, though.
I’m in Dame Chocolate+ from a sample from my last purchase. If anyone wants to smell of dark chocolate, this is your scent. On my skin at least, I am getting no other notes. Just dark chocolate. Quite bitter dark chocolate at that.
I ❤️ this one. I would describe it as ‘luscious’ butter dark chocolate.
Scent siblings today!
I am in Aquolina Pink Sugar from a sample that has lasted forever. This is a scent that I am not so fond of it, because its sweetness is overwhelming. However, a dab on each wrist is ok for me today.
Happy Candy Friday! 🍭🍫🍨🍬
For me it’s the burnt smell that I can’t handle. I did try the berry flanker, and it is less noticeable.
I’m in Profumum Confetto, whose translation is “sugared almond candy.” Yep, that about sums it up. Two sprays is enough for me, and lasts all day.
I was crazy, busy the last two days and didn’t have time to read, comment, OR get outside for a lunchtime walk and enjoy our 70 degree days.😩 Today I’m off and the rain is moving in. Like, lots of rain. I think some parts of the state may get 4-5 inches. Seems like it’ll be a good weekend for baking and chili.
We’re in for a lot of rain here too and cooking sounds like the perfect rainy day activity.
I love Confetto, but I get more anise than almond. I’m making chili this weekend, also!
Baking and chili sound like perfect rainy weekend plans.
I made chili last weekend and was very happy that I did. Several tasty meals as a result of that decision. Enjoy! 😋
Dang that’s alot of rain!
Happy Friday All!😊
I’m in Olympic Orchids Osafume for the delicious anise note.
That really does sound delicious. Is the magnolia noticeable?
I hadn’t paid attention to the magnolia but yes, it is noticeable. I tested it against a dab of Grandiflora Magnolia – Sandrine which seems very true to the flower and there is definitely an echo.
Thanks so much allo!
Lying in bed this morning I debated what to wear today: Ummagumma for the fantastic chocolate plus incense + woods? Reglisse Noire again for the licorice note? Theorema for candided orange peel? All are fragrances that I love! But Akro Awake won for its coffee note that makes me think of Coffee Nips. Anyone else remember those? They were not my favorite candy, but my Mom’s – way back in the day when I was growing up.
I loved coffee nips! My now-former workplace used to have bowls of them in the reception area, and my work space was adjacent to that area. I had to develop restraint. 😅
Still love me a good Nip when I can find them on sale! Caramel are my favorite, followed by coffee, then chocolate. 😋
Coffee Nips, yes! I just posted about those yesterday (or Wednesday?) while wearing Cafe Rose. 😉 Way back when, my boyfriend’s parents always had these out. 😋
😀
I was hoping my Covet would be here today but since it hasn’t arrived, I wore Rochas Absolu for the mandarin orange note, which smells candied to me.
Ooh, Covet is a great option for the CP! Hmm, might have to add it to my shortlist, since I haven’t chosen my SOTD yet …
Turmeric Latte for me today, since it was out on the counter and had to be put away before the cleaners arrive.
Endless, endless driving rain. November has arrived with a vengeance. At least today will be warmer than yesterday, when the rain was freezing rain. I would like to not hear the term “atmospheric river” again. I’m trying to lean into hygge season, but I’m not quite feeling it yet.
Haha – I’m with you on the “atmospheric river”! Next week looks better here in Seattle. How about you?
I think there’s one day where we’re supposed to see some sun, but otherwise it’s rain/snow for the next week. But it doesn’t look like an atmospheric river, just normal rain / snow, which is better.
“Atmospheric river” is right up there with “frozen mix” as far as I’m concerned. They’re predicting snow here Monday/Tuesday. *sigh*
I’m adding bomb cyclone and polar vortex to the this list of scary weather words/events.
Those are the winter scariest ones!
“Bombogenesis” is another one to add to the list.
Happy Friday, y’all!
I’m in IA Saint Julep today for the sweet mint note. 🍃
You smell great Nancyleandros!
I am also in Prada Candy today, which is delightful. I know why I don’t wear this often: I have the travel roller ball, and I seem to have something against roller balls. I crave that satisfying spray!
I turned 40 yesterday, and I’m plotting a perfume purchase. It might take me until I’m 41 to decide, which will be fine.
Happy Birthday!!!!!!
And next year it’s Lys41 for u!!
Ha—what a great idea! Lys 41 has actually been in my buy list for ages.
Happy 40th! I loved my forties – enjoy and definitely celebrate with a new perfume.
Thank you! I’m feeling good about the coming decade. 🙂
Happy Birthday!
Funny, I was just thinking yesterday about how much I liked my 40’s over my 20’s.
Happy 40th!
Happy Birthday! 🎂
Adding happy birthday wishes! 🎂
Happy Birthday!
Happy belated birthday!
Happy Birthday for yesterday!
Happy Birthday! The 40s are a great decade in my opinion. Old enough to know better about a lot of things but still so many options ahead of you!
Happy, happy birthday! 🥳. Wishing all good things may come your way!
Happy birthday! I’m with you on the rollerballs.
Happy Birthday! That’s a big one and you deserve something nice!
Happy Scented Birthday wishes! Congrats on the milestone!
Happy Birthday!, irisjasmine! 🎉🎂🎁
40s are wonderful … happy birthday!
Happy 40th irisjasmine!
Belated happy birthday! I’ll be joining you at 40 in April.
It sounds like it’s a pretty cool club!
CSP Amour Cacao for me. It reminds me of baking brownies and getting a big whiff of the batter…divine!
Snow has come to Santa Fe so maybe I should make some brownies to cheer myself up and match my scent.
That’s a good one, just wore it the other day. Love the Santa Fe area!
No actual candy for me — I’m in the non-candy sweetness of Profumum Alba once again. So heavenly.
We don’t hear about this one very often (at least I don’t), but I loved it, too. Had a small decant that I finished quite a while ago. May have to reinvest!
I’m out of town, so away from my collection. I generally don’t wear gourmands, but I do have a bottle of Lolita Lempicka from when it was launched in ’97. I really do want to pick up the roller ball of Prada Candy.
So of my options on hand, I have EldO Fils de Dieu, so lots of coconut, or Infusion d’Iris, which is not candy, but is Prada Candy-adjacent.
Fils de Dieu won out, and I’m glad of it – always fun to try my fragrances in a different climate!
Hope you are someplace fun, and you do smell great!
I love Fils de Dieu and you smell amazing!
Debating between two options for SOTD: L’ Artisan’s Dzing!, with its circus candy notes, or 41 60 Tuesdays’ White Queen, which avoids “candy” notes but to my nose evokes marshmallows.
I’m sure you picked the right one 🙂
Ummagumma today after hours of sleep but still feeling old and decrepit today. This perfume is so wonderful, I can’t imagine not having the option to wear it on cold, ugly days when you’re feeling like you’re been run over by a Mack Truck. Sooo soothing and warming. In a perfect world, I’d have a shower gel and body cream to match. ☺️
In order to look better than I feel, I re-purpled my hair last night after a long endless hot shower at a local hotel. Didn’t really work, because I’m still looking a bit ragged. Back to the van today, but I got all my laundry done as well, so I’m feeling like I accomplished something. Woke up to find my face and eyelids are all edematous so it must be a reaction to whatever they washed the hotel sheets in. It’s not difficult to smell better than I look! 🙃
I’m using a laundry service that collects and returns. They’ve been using a new fabric softener this past week that made me itch like nothing else!Fabric softener banned!
Hope the Ummagumma slowly works its magic and comforts you. Sending good vibes and big 🤗 🤗 🤗 your way.
Argh! Sorry to hear that you had an allergic reaction to the hotel linens.
Oh no! Glad you at least got the laundry done, I guess?
I also went super-literal today and am wearing Prada Candy. This is only one of two gourmands in my collection. I like the smell of sweeties but most of the time I find them cloying after a few minutes. The Prada seems to have a counterpoint to whatever that is though and I like it all the way through, but I still don’t wear it very often so I’m glad the CP encouraged me to pull it out for the day.
I don’t pull it out as often as I should either. I do like Candy.
I love benzoin, it’s one of my favourite notes and it wears beautifully on my skin. The same cannot be said about vanilla, though I love it for cooking.
I did try Prada Candy from a sample few years ago and it was a very well done scent, but today I wanted to wear something more adventurous: Strange Invisible Perfumes Etrange. Benzoin and seaweed, with a hint of ginger and unnamed “resins”. I have a bottle of pure parfum and dabbed it on my arms. It is a very strange concoction indeed but the whole thing works for me and it smells like a Japanese dish made into candy format, eaten by the seaside. I just had a plain vanilla brown rice syrup Japanese candy and I can still taste it so I’m having candy moment in and out.
Incidentally, I have lots and lots of perfumes, if the samples are included that the numbers are probably going into triple digits, but SIP is my favourite house and somehow I usually end up with their perfumes for the community projects. And when I saw today’s subject, I thought of Etrange right away. It is no longer available in the regular line up but I will enjoy wearing it while it lasts.
How nice! I love benzoin as well! Don’t have a favorite one with it but suffice it to say when I see / smell benzoin, oh joy!
Happy Friday!
This week kicked my ass and I am on standby this weekend!
SOTD!
Fettle amd Frisson’s Rose Vermillon. It reminds me of those chalky pink hard candies. My grandmother used to always have them in her “bag-of-the-day” for church on Sundays!Haha!
XO’s
I do have Prada Candy. And love it.
We are “ass kicked” twins! I hope for a very quiet weekend for you. 👍🏼
I wish you an uneventful weekend!
Fingers crossed you don’t get called in!
Wearing Theorema today for the CP today. About to get started on making some chicken and stuffing for dinner tonight.
Mmmm, stuffing!
Hello smelly friends, totally off CP today in Zoologist Hummingbird from a sample some kind NSTer sent me. It’s nice, and a pleasant contrast to the cold weather we’ve been having, but I will not need any more of this once I finish the sample.
I’ve been away from NST for a while because I’ve been really stressed out about the sale of our old house, which thankfully closed on Monday. Did you know that contracts don’t mean anything and that people can lie whenever they want and get away with it? I didn’t know either, but I do now! I think I mentioned that we got a ton of offers on our old house, and that the highest was a nice 13% above asking. Long story short, they lied in their offer so we would pick them, couldn’t get the loan they needed, delayed our closing, and ended up getting a discount on the house. I am very disappointed that they will be living in the little house I loved, cooking in the kitchen that was the beating heart of our home, walking around in the backyard we got married in. They are bad people, and probably their realtor is bad too, though of course I have no real way of knowing if they somehow managed to keep her totally in the dark through the whole process.
Anyway it’s all been an incredibly stressful few weeks, but it’s over now and the money is in our bank account. All I can do now is wish them catastrophe.
And smell good. I can do that, too.
What an unpleasant experience. I haven’t sold a place yet, I bought my apartment 20 years ago and haven’t wanted to move, but I can really understand how you feel.
Thanks, Gaynor. (And how wonderful that you’ve been in your apartment for 20 years!)
Oh my!
I know, right?
If it helps…not knowing any of the details but knowing a bit more than I should about current mortgage conditions…it’s possible they did a prequal at some point and got approved, and with all the changing interest rates, etc., no longer could afford that much. Things have been changing literally overnight where I work as interest rates and home values change and affect what the regulators expect.
Or, they’re just bad people. 🙂
Absolutely not. They are just bad people. In their offer, they said they would be putting 50% down, and then they tried to get a loan with 20% down. It eventually transpired that they had never intended to put 50% down despite what they wrote in the contract. They just did not have the money for that (which we had suspected from their accounts; they told us, in writing, that they were getting funds from their parents to cover the down payment). So they just straight-up lied so we would pick their offer.
Ugh, bummer. A pox on them!
I’m sorry Koyel. Remember though that it was you and your husband that made that house a home. These bad people only have 4 walls and a roof. You took all the good and love to your new home.
Awww lillyjo, you know just what to say to make me feel better <3 thank you!!!
😊
Nice lillyjo, I like that too.
Oh, no. That is terrible. I really hate it when people do underhanded things and get away with it. I like to think, eventually, most of those people get what is coming to them.
Thanks Zephyr2, I really hope you’re right!
Oy! So sorry this happened to you. May they get the karma they deserve.
Thank you hajusuuri! Fingers crossed!
Ugh – that’s very stressful. I actually hate buying, selling AND moving. But now you can focus on your new place which you and your husband will continue to make a wonderful place to be!
We hate all of those too!! I can’t imagine how people do cross-country moves, and we have high hopes of living in this house until death. Or maybe retirement.
And thank you <3
How horrid. I guess now you know for next time, but it isn’t information any of us want to learn.
Hope you can let it go and concentrate on making your new home as wonderful as your old home.
Thank you, Robin! I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do with this information, though—never trust another contract? Go around breaching contracts myself? But your last sentence is key!
Well, I think the main thing is to evaluate offers on factors other than just the dollar amounts…it is possible to find out quite a bit about the “financial strength” of your buyers if they are motivated, (by which I mean verify every piece of information in their offer) and if they’re not motivated to provide that information (such as allowing your agent to talk to their mortgage lender, or insisting on some proof from the parents that they were going to provide the funds in question, or insisting on a much larger deposit of earnest money), taking a lower offer might be a better idea.
Very few real estate agents are proactive about these kinds of things, I find.
But honestly all of that is for next time. For now I would do your best to forget it because who needs that floating around in the brain? Better to just enjoy the new house and figure they will get their just desserts one way or another without you having to worry about it.
I’m so sorry you had such a bad experience. I also loathe buying and selling real estate. I learned the hard way years ago that contracts mean nothing. I echo lillyjo’s lovely words that all the love and warmth went with you to your new home and all those unethical people got were four walls and very bad karma.
Thank you, cazaubon <3 But I'm very sorry that you too got cheated in a contract 🙁
A sunny Saturday morning – that makes me a happy person!
I’m wearing a dab of Eris Scorpio Rising for the spices. I love spice notes in both perfume and food, last night we tried a new ginger chocolate, I think I’ll be buying more of that.
Have a wonderful Saturday Gaynor! I do love ginger chocolate.
Your perfume and your chocolate sound wonderful 🙂
I’m wearing Angel Muse and smelling similar to the chocolate hazelnut candy bar I ate yesterday. Last night I dreamed I met George Harrison in a gas station, I have no idea why, but it has been interesting this morning trying to figure it out. Still clueless.
Ha! I love those kind of dreams!
What a great dream! Of course I have no idea what it means but now I want to have that dream too 🙂
Candy wise, I am a dark chocolate lover, with dark chocolate-covered orange peel a special favorite, captured perfectly in my SOTD, YR Orange & Chocolat from its Fruits de Noel holiday line of a few years ago. The warm notes of cocoa and the sweet notes of orange peel are so realistic I can almost taste it!❤️ So glad I have a BUB; it’s been long d/c.
We took advantage of incredibly glorious early November weather for a brief getaway to catch the last of the fall color and visit my favorite state park in NW Illinois. But instead of our usual camping we stayed at a friend’s mini-country estate – what a nice treat! The highlight of the trip was definitely the afternoon spent at the Field of Dreams movie site in Dyersville, Iowa. As a huge baseball fan, having just finished the book ‘Shoeless Joe’ (upon which the film is based), and visiting there during the World Series, was just incredible for me. We walked the bases, came out of the corn, and because there are few tourists there at this time, we had a private tour of the farmhouse from the film and learned many interesting factoids about the making of the film which made for a perfect visit! Once the WS is over, I’ve definitely got to rewatch the film to incorporate all that I learned about it. Can’t wait!
Back home just in time for the weather to turn ugly (but still warm). Looking forward to celebrating Mr. Laila’s birthday on Sunday, and hoping you all have something nice to look forward to as well! 🍁
Happy Birthday to Mr. Laila! You are a dyed in the wool BB fan, not even surpassed by my mother’s unending love of the White Sox. Baseball on! ⚾️
Thank you for the birthday wishes. As for baseball, it’s one of the few things left in my life that connect me to my childhood in the old neighborhood. I grew up in the shadow of the old Comiskey Park, and though I haven’t lived there for many years, my heart ❤️ will always be South Side!
The other night I got shipped to the ER and worked with a sharp young travel RN from Chicago. She was born and raised in the south side, so saw A LOT in the ER’s there. Her father was a retired police officer and worked south side as well. She had such great energy, but the sad thing is she’s studying real estate now because she wants out of nursing. I tried my best to convince her to keep at it, but she said she’s just “done.”
That’s so sad but very understandable. I suspect there are people in other occupations – perhaps teachers and police officers? – who may be having similar thoughts as well.
I saw the “Field of Dreams” site on TV earlier this year. It looked beautiful. I bet that the pictures simply do not do justice to it.
Fortunately, at least thus far, despite the multitudes of tourists each year, the site has remained basically as it was in 1988 when the film was made. Its simplicity emphasizes its meaningful beauty. There are plans for adding additional fields and other amenities including a hotel in the surrounding area as the site currently hosts an increasing amount of youth baseball tournaments, but we were told by the docent the movie site itself will remain unsullied and untouched by any neighboring commercialism. We can only hope 🤞! Right now, as you approach the site, as far as the eye can see, there are only cornfields. Just beautiful!
Oh, I’m curious about that candy and the scent. I’m also a dark chocolate and orange lover but not so sure about the peel part. But I bet it’s good.
I grew up eating these and they were easily found here in the Chicago area. The orange peel itself is first candied and then covered with dark chocolate. They’re really quite delicious – there are lots of recipes on YouTube if you want to take a closer look at how they’re made and they are available commercially as well.
It’s a shame this scent was d/c as it was quite popular and is very realistic. I think someone else on NST – perhaps Pyramus? – loves this scent as well.
What a fun trip and tour of the Field of Dreams site. I loved that movie. So glad you got to do that!!
Song of the Day: https://youtu.be/Ez8b2VHjVB0
Another foggy morning followed by a bright, sunny and WARM afternoon. It shouldn’t be in the mid 70’s here in November. Definitely weird. And potential record warm temps are on the way for the weekend. But I am not complaining. 😉
SOTD = Chocolate + Rose EdP, from the Sample Stash and Perfumelover67. I laughed when I tried it earlier today, since I smelled Tootsie Rolls and Rose Jam! It’s a lot of fun, and very CP compliant. 🍫🌹
Love your song of the day!
Thanks!
It’s been stuck in my head for the past day! I think that’s a sure sign I should share. 🤣🎶
Sounds great! Methinks it will be too warm for the NYC Marathon!
Yeah, I sure wouldn’t want to be running in the predicted temps.
I have your sotd in my cart right now.
Whew, I tried to vote at my usual place and it was an utter zoo. No parking spots and a lady with a badge directed me to another place in town she had heard was more open and did not have hour long lines, so I went there. It turned out also to have crowded parking and a line but a very nice woman in line gave me her spot because she said unfortunately she had to leave to go pick up her daughter at school. It still took overall an hour or more and it’s 86 with horrendous humidity today, so was very draining for me. I had a lot of walking and standing. But it was important! We had nearly 100 items on the ballot–ugh–My wrist got tired of pushing all the little buttons. But everyone was pleasant and it was such a neat mix of people. In Houston we tend to just go about in our little neighborhoods and on established paths and it’s sometimes hard to realize that we live in a very large and very diverse city, but that was in evidence at the polling place. Glad that’s done!
I’m wearing Elixir des Merveilles, because a few days ago someone (Deva, I think) suggested it for the combination I was looking for of orange and dark chocolate notes. The chocolate isn’t listed but it does sort of get implied by the caramel, resin, and amber combination, and at any rate, that in itself sounds like a tasty candy nugget to me. I usually prefer this to the Eau and other versions but today it did seem a bit sharp or penetrating to me, maybe just because the weather is so warm and humid. There are thunderstorms predicted for tonight and the weather did feel quite unsettled today.
Thank you for hanging in there and voting–I hope that everyone will make their voice heard. Here in NJ it’s a bit easier; we have an assigned voting location, plus mail-in/drop box/and early voting locations…..no excuses, everybody vote!!
Ugh on the wait to vote and almost 100 items on your ballot! But I’m so glad you stuck it out as like you said, it was important.
In Washington we vote by mail, but this is the first election where my and my partner’s ballots didn’t arrive. If I’d realized sooner, I could have requested a replacement be mailed, but I just kept thinking it would arrive soon. So now we can either print out ballots and take them in person or fill out a ballot in person. It wouldn’t feel like such pain if there were neighborhood polling places, but since most can easily vote by mail, sites are very limited. So we’ll get on the light rail (no big deal, we’ve got a station in our neighborhood) and go to Lumen Field, where the Seahawks play. There’s not a lot of good info about what to expect when you get there, only a note about which street entrance we should go to. So I’m a little nervous about it being an ordeal or how crowded it may be. But we shall see tomorrow…
I’m sorry to hear that your ballots didn’t come and I hope it goes well for you tomorrow🌸
Ok, big update. Now that I’ve been able to finish the online ballot process, I found we don’t have to take them in person! There’s an envelope cover to use to either mail it or use a drop box. Very easy thankfully, and I’m glad I interpreted the worst possible scenario so I’m pleasantly surprised in the end.
What a relief😅
I’m glad you stuck with it but, wow, what an exhausting event! I’ve taken to mail-in voting for the last few elections but I physically deposit my ballot (because you can’t trust the mail anymore) at my city hall during early voting and then I receive an email acknowledgement when my ballot has been received. Works well for me!
Elixir Des Merveilles is a favorite of mine and a great choice, you smell wonderful! But I wear it in winter; I think it would be a bit too much on a hot, humid day.
Good for you sticking it out to vote! But oy vey on the size of that ballot!
So much work! I salute your fortitude.
I joined the licorice/anise crowd today in Kerosene Black Vines. I was using a sample dabbero so it wasn’t in my face, and I quite enjoyed it.
Wishing everyone a happy weekend!
Happy Weekend AnnE!
Same to you, lillyjo! 🤗
Christian Dior Diorissimo
Yum.
I wore Aqualina Pink Sugar today.
I loved gourmands as a teenager but not so much as an adult and the Pink Sugar bottle came to me when my own daughter tired of it and I took it in.
Pink Sugar reminds me of when we would splurge and go out to brunch in college, the sugary vanilla scent of the homemade waffles that would fill up the whole restaurant.
Pink Sugar probably layers perfectly with something, I don’t know what though.
I joined the Prada Candy group today and am happy I did. I had to dig out my decant but now I’ll keep it out for a while so I actually can remember to wear it. The last two days I wore chocolate scents and definitely grew tired of smelling like chocolate last night (it was CSP Amour de Cacao yesterday and Smell Bent Hungry Hungry Hippies the day before).
I don’t really eat or like much candy beyond chocolate. I’d rather eat cookies, ice cream, brownies, pie, cake, pastries, etc. over non-chocolate candy. Good thing there are many options to satisfy a particular sweet tooth.
I mostly prefer chocolate anything to other candy too, although a piece of licorice or caramel once in a blue moon is nice.
Boozy chocolate in the form of Gourmand Coquin…. I added a little almondy scent to make a nougat chocolate confection.
Oh nice!
SOTD = Bvlgari Black
Love it!

The holiday shops are back at Bryant Park so I left work a little early to peruse the stalls. Prices have gone up but I am not surprised. I noticed more places selling food than in previous years but that could also be my imagination. I left with 4 jars of cake scraps in Funferti, S’mores, Carrot Cake and Salted Caramel! Let’s see how long it takes me to finish them all 😋.
The Christmas Village in Philly is supposed to open in the next couple of weeks or so. Maybe I will get there this year?
I always think of you when I see Bvlgari Black, No.19 and more recently Love don’t be shy extreme.
Is really love to roam around some of the European Christmas markets!
I’m a cp failure today. I totally forgot to put on perfume this morning. I had many errands to do early, then had to go to work.
I did dig into the purse stash but did not have anything candy related. My sotd was TM Cuir Impertinent. I did smell awesome. Today is actually my Friday. It’s supposed to be raining all day tomorrow and hopefully I will be able to do some more of my basement clean out.
You’ve got an anise note there…licorice candy!
Good luck on the basement.
