It's Friday and the last day of October September, oops. (Don’t forget your rabbits tomorrow, and Donatella will be dropping by on Monday, so start adding up those receipts). Our community project for today is It's difficult, part 2...wear a fragrance that you (or someone around you?) finds difficult, for whatever reason. Suggested by Pixel, Kanuka and JB.
What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.
I cannot remember the last time I overslept this badly, so apologies, and I am not up to wearing anything difficult either. (I had the shingles vaccine yesterday afternoon.) I'm commando at the moment and will probably put on something simple and comforting later. No points for me!
Reminder: on 10/7, for Jacques Guerlain's birthday, wear a Guerlain fragrance. Extra points if it was created by Jacques Guerlain, quintuple bonus points for wearing a week of Guerlain representing five different Guerlain perfumers. Adapted from a suggestion by Oakland Fresca.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2022, where I'll try (but obviously sometimes fail) to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

Traveling so no access to my collection. Wearing Natori borrowed from mom’s stash. Happy Friday!! I am relieved to be heading home tomorrow after getting things accomplished here with my parents. They are ready to move next week.
Oh good, so glad they are all set to go!
I’m happy for you that you get to go home tomorrow and regain equilibrium. Have a safe trip!
So glad to hear that. I saw your post the other day. Those days are very difficult–went through that with my mom. Sending hugs.
Wishing you safe travels and a feeling of peace knowing how much you’ve helped your parents.
Glad to hear that things have been sorted out with your parents and their upcoming move. Safe travels home!
Good for you! And I love Natori, you smell great.
I think after a certain age you pretty much have to get the shingles vaccine. (Not saying what that age is.) I talked to my doctor about it a month ago and will probably get it at my next checkup. Hope you’re feeling better soon.
I’m in my go-to difficult scent, Serge Lutens Miel de Bois. Difficult for some people, at any rate, but not for me: I fell head over heels the first time I sniffed it. I have always had a weakness for fragrances that aren’t content to be nice, that *demand* something of you, and this one certainly does — a huge mass of flowers and wood, dripping with honey and beeswax, with little curlicues of smoke in the far reaches.
I hear the age is 50? I am a little late 😉
Also, feel fine at the moment, just did not sleep well and was a shock to see the time when I finally woke up enough to look. We’ll see how I do later today.
And PERFECT choice, I salute you.
My doctor keeps bugging me to get the shingles vaccine, but I never had chicken pox — got the test results to prove it, and got the chicken pox vaccine as a result of those tests — so I don’t need the shingles vaccine. Wish my doctor would check my records…!
Oh interesting, and lucky! I had everything as a child…
I was eager to get the new shingles vaccine when I was able to; I had chicken pox as a child, and I saw the pain that shingles caused a younger colleague when he got it. Very grateful to have had both doses!
Robin, it is the last day of September, not October!
I am not participating in the cp today. I lavishly sprayed on Hermes L’Ambre des Merveilles, to see if it could help me stay awake. Another sleepy day despite almost 10 hours of sleep last night. I guess the weather changes are affecting me more this fall season.
On my third cup of coffee and a slice of apple pie.
Happy Friday! ☕️🥧
Oh my goodness thank you, it would have been 4 pm before I noticed!
You smell fantastic, and that’s the breakfast of champions I’m sure.
Thank you, Robin! 😀
Ooh, you smell amazing. I hope you found some energy today!
Thank you, Sistine! Hopefully, the afternoon meeting at work will wake me up!
L’Ambre des Merveilles is a delicious one.
Agree! It is one of my favorite perfumes!
You smell great! I love L’Ambre des Merveilles.
Thank you! 😊
I think some people find tuberose a difficult scent. Not me, but I love BWFs. I am in Dame’s Soliflore Tuberose.
Vaccines can be a pain Robin, but they are worth it. I didn’t feel great after the shingles one either. I may go get the new Covid booster today so I may not feel good for a day or two.
Very worth it, I do not want shingles! And apparently you are more likely to get it in the 6 months after having covid.
I am sure you smell great! I love nearly any tuberose, but you’re right many people find them hard to take.
Twins on tuberose!
Triplets!
Did you get the EdT or the perfume oil for the Dame Tuberose?
I got the EdT. I think they all changed to the oil now, didn’t they? Wishing I would have gotten a few others, but I don’t particularly want the oil ones.
I was wrong. They do still have some of the soliflores in EdT. He still has a sale on some of them too.
Anything you have you eye on that’s still EdT?
I don’t think so. I thought about Ginger Lily, but I am going to pass.
Hello and TGIF!
Sotd is the little monster La Vie Est Belle Absolu.
Decided to treat myself and I had a slice of chocolate vanilla pound cake for breakfast. It was delicious. No guilt whatsoever 😤
(Robin, I think you meant the last day of September)
Pl67 beat you to it, but thank you, and hey, that’s 2 of you having dessert for breakfast! I may have to hit the ice cream.
Haha treat yourself a scoop!
That sounds like a fantastic breakfast.
I was *this close* to having a second piece
Am in the oft-mentioned as challenging FM Une Fleur de Cassie, which honestly has never been difficult for me. It’s a cool enough day for a dense floral.
Anthropologie has a selection of advent calendars now. There’s a cool New Yorker magazine crossword puzzle one that’s $200, but others are more reasonably priced.
Oh my, I’m not sure I’m ready for Advent calendars yet! Will have to start stockpiling little things soon for Ockeghem Tween’s calendar, but I’m just not in that headspace yet.
I have always loved Une Fleur de Cassie.
This has been on my “to try” list for ages. I guess I should finally get a sample!
That one is very hard for me!
Rose has always been a difficult note for me — hard to find the Goldilocks rose note that isn’t too sharp/tart or too oily-sweet or too bubblebath-soapy. (My favorite rose scent is Rose Anonyme, if that tells you anything.). For the CP, I decided to dial the difficult-for-me level up to eleven and dab on some Angel La Rose. I’m taking bonus points because the patchouli in it is difficult for Mr. G.
Rose is hard for me too. I do like 4160’s Who Knew? which is very green
Oh, good to know! They seem like a fun brand.
Excellent!
I adore Rose Anonyme, too, and if you haven’t tried these already, you might want to look into Etat Libre d’Orange Eau de Protection and Serge Lutens La Fille de Berlin, which are also moody, unsweet roses. I love all three of them interchangeably, for whatever that’s worth.
I never got to try any of the Angel Garden of Stars scents but I bet the rose one is a handful.
Definitely a handful … armful? Haven’t tried either the SL or the ELDO – will have to do something about that! 🌹
We are perfume twins re: Rose Anonyme and Soivohle Paracelsus. 🌹🌹 Love them both!
I feel like I’m in excellent company. 😊
A good many years ago I bought a bottle of Shalimar unsniffed. I’m not sure of the formulation, but this was right after I started reading NST and so many posters were so fond of Shalimar I decided to get a bottle. When I put it on the first time, the only think that I got from it was vanilla. Unfortunately, vanilla is my least favorite fragrance note. I immediately gave my bottle away and haven’t tried it since. I thought about what I would wear today, and while I couldn’t bring myself to wear one of the Shalimar edp samples I have, I thought I might try Shalimar Parfum Initial L’Eau. I sprayed it very lightly on my torso, so it would be covered by my clothes. It is not a scrubber, but I wouldn’t buy a bottle either. Maybe a 3ml decant, just to see if I could bring myself to like it. Maybe.
Is it worth it? There are so many fragrances that trying to grow to love one seems like misplaced energy.
Sometimes it surprisingly is worth it, though. I haaaaaated La Nuit de Paco Rabanne for eons until I finally tried it again and instantly fell in love with it. It hadn’t changed, but I had. The original formula is nearly ungettable, but I snagged a quarter ounce of the parfum and it is one of my most treasured bottles.
On the other hand, I tried again and again and again to love L’Artisan Parfumeur Méchant Loup because in theory it’s something I should love, but I finally had to give up. It hates me.
Happy Friday NST! I’m wearing Angel today as it is difficult and polarizing for many. I love it but it took a long time of sampling before I did.
Another beautiful chilly morning! We turned on the space heater on the porch and my husband baked biscuits for breakfast so the oven warmed the house.
I love it too-on others. You smell great!
I rarely wear Angel, but I do like it.
I love it, too — and wear only once or twice a year, because it tends to wear me, not the other way around.
I was a late convert to Angel, too. Absolutely HATED it the first time I smelled it. Fast forward a few years, and surprise!
Wearing Jubilation 25 today for the CP. It’s the overripe aspect that’s always been hard for me. I was going to go for Havana Vanille since vanilla can be hard too but Jubilation won out.
Ah, interesting. I did like the men’s so much better that I barely remember the women’s.
I love Havana Vanille but it’s a bit of a close call. In my case, it’s the rum that gives it an edge, though.
I am wearing Annick Goutal Mon Parfum Cheri Par Camille. I love the plum-patchouli syrup and it’s contrast with the rooty iris, but a woman at a bus stop once ran away from me making exaggerated gagging sounds when I was wearing this, so it does have its detractors.
I would have run after her to ask if she needed any help 🤣🤣🤣
LOL, you take the cake, dear!
Bwahahahahahaha!
Ack!
I’m in Jicky today because I am accidentally a week ahead on the CP. However, I’m sure lots of people find it difficult. 😂
Back home! I have my perfumes, candles, books, and of course my dog and husband. It’s such a relief to be in my own space again after two weeks of caretaking. I’m about to make soup and wait for Ian to start hammering us.
Last night we went out for tapas and there were several people with noticeable perfume sitting on the patio with us! I was so excited to smell so many good things. I was wearing Bottega Veneta, so I also smelled great.
Yay for being home, always feels nice. And yay for you for caretaking. Not an easy job. I hope Ian will be gentle to you!
There’s no place like home.☺️ Hope Ian is not too bad for you!
I definitely find Jicky difficult: in theory I should love all those ancient Guerlains — I’m positively unhinged about Mitsouko — but Jicky never worked for me.
YAY for being back home! Being a caregiver for a parent is SO incredibly challenging and draining. Hugs.
Welcome home! Caretaking is hard and it’s a relief to be back in one’s personal comfort zone.
SOTD is FM Carnal Flower (which I call Carnival Flower) from one of those nice big FM spray samples. I do like FM’s samples. This is all the CF I’ll ever need — BWFs are definitely difficult for me; most of them are a big fat ‘no’ but I can deal with the tropical-ness of this one.
House twin! BWFs are usually a no for me too, but I love that one. You smell great!
That’s a nice one!
Like “Carnival Flower”!
My sympathies, Robin. The shingles shot knocked me over more than the COVID shots, however, the second one wasn’t as bad. And it’s soooo much better than getting shingles!
I’m in Profumum Roma Patchouly. Patchouli is a difficult note for me, generally, and I know I could say, well, I just don’t like it that much and that would be fine. But it’s also present in some perfumes that I really like and others that I want to try, so I try to keep an open mind and here’s one that I do like. I find it to be powdery/ambery and it feels like a dressed up-going out kind of fragrance. I enjoy it but a little goes a long way.
Patchouli is a challenge for me too. I love Coromandel, but straight up patchouli oil is a no go.
I am SO tired, and I was so tired last week after covid. Will be glad to feel normal for a bit!
But did not have any fever or serious pain, so I am happy about that.
I didn’t like patchouli when I was a kid. I associated it with head shops.
I’m in Musc Ravageur, which may be difficult for some, but not for me I think it’s yummy.
Strange and disturbing dreams last night. I dreamt about my granny and could feel myself crying in my sleep. Haven’t dreamt like that in ages. I was in that sleep state where I knew that I was dreaming but couldn’t wake myself up.
On a happier note, we got word this morning that madtownteen got into the camp session she wanted for next summer! She had to enter by lottery, because some years there is more interest than spots available. She will be spending over a month in Canada canoeing, camping and portaging. I’m so excited for her. It will be the longest she’s ever spent away from home and part of me is a bit nervous but the other (bigger) part knows she is ready for this. I know it will be the experience of a lifetime.
Aw, that sounds disturbing. So glad you woke up to good news.
Aw, sorry that you had a bad dream about your beloved Granny.
Yay for madtownteen, a month in Canada!
Diptyque L’Autre, my most difficult bottle. Some days I like its sharp herbal spicy goodness, and some days I just sniff the bottle cap and physically jump back from it.
I’m layering it today with Tauer Maghreb, and I’m enjoying the combination on this perfect fall day.
Happy Friday!
You all smell wonderful today! It’s a veritable patchouli/gourmand/bwf-fest so far!LoveLove.
SOTD!
Kilian Angels’ Share edp.
Now hear me out…lol.
I HATED this when I tried it in the store from a tester.I thought it was screechy and brash and too much spices.
I received a 7ml in the Skins discovery box I mentioned yesterday and of course thought “yes!Perfect for the cp”.
Well,I love it.Amber, boozy, spicy! It bloomed in the heat today!Lovelove, might get a big bottle at some stage.
So I guess second chances are a good idea, second trials…plus I do have an affinity for the brand!
My other choices were Philosykos(fig is a huge problem for me mostly),or Rochas L’Absolue(I think wuth this one it’s the fig leaf that bothered me in the top notes, but it eventually settles nicely.)
Next week will be fun!I have a lot of Guerlain up my sleeve.
XO’s!🌹✌🏻
Have a happy weekend JB! I hope you can relax, have fun and enjoy spring. We had a small patch of snow on the hills yesterday so I’m hoping October brings a bit more sun.
Happy weekend Kanuka!
My standby weekend for the OR this weekend,so just laying low.
🌹✌🏻🌷🌺
Glad the second time worked for you! What a nice surprise.
SOTD = Solstice Scents Estate Vetiver
I always tell people to not let the name fool you because this is 90% patchouli and 10% something else. I used to not like patchouli but I’ve since come around in a big way.
My BIL tested positive for COVID. So far, my sister and nephew (who’s back home for the next few months doing recruiting work for the Navy) tested negative. Our plans for getting together this weekend went out the door. The last time I saw my sister and BIL was 3 weeks ago so I am not concerned about being a close contact.
Oh, and Imagine Bee Bottle! It will be available at Bergdorfs by the end of October…thinking it may already be sold out. Anyway, it’s in my Stories until 1PM tomorrow!

Vetiver = Patchouli? Shades of Le Labo…
Sorry to hear about COVID striking again within your family.
Reading late/ the next morning. Wow, that bottle is stunning! I hope you get it!
And sorry to hear about covid rearing it’s ugly head again! Glad you’re staying safe.
I’ve heard odd rumors that the new Imagine release might have 190 Ans perfume in it instead of the London/Imagine scent. Can’t get confirmation or denial but I asked Sonja at BG to find out for sure.
In SSS Tabac Aurea today. Nothing difficult about this one unless you hate tobacco centric perfumes, then I’m sure you’d think it was good awful 😃
It’s overcast, cooler, and though the leaves are changing, temps are supposed to be back up to 70-80F in the coming days.
Working tonight, which is the dreaded night that the hospital switches to a completely new OS. Everyone is in a tizzy and already winding up to have a drama filled night. I’ve worked with new system before, so I’m not too concerned, but it’s been a couple of years. They have management rotating in and out to ”help” but not sure how since most of them don’t know the system either…🙄
Hope Ian is not wreaking havoc anymore. Ft Myers area looks like an atom bomb went off. Crushed about Sanibel and Captiva islands, one of my happy spots in Florida. Tampa Bay area dodged the bullet again…so lucky!
It’s pretty heartbreaking the devastation that hit the area.
Sotd is Keiko Mecheri Tuberose (a bit of a knock off of SL Tubereuse Criminelle which I would have worn but I don’t have the bottle with me at the office)
Tuberose can be a challenging note for some and this menthol-take on the flower can be even more challenging but I love it!
Smelling gorgeous, as always!
As are you💗🌸
I bet you smell great 😊
Thank you, Tuberose twin!
I personally enjoy a tuberose/menthol combination (accidentally typed bombination, which also fits). But I understand why some people might quickly run away from that!
Bombination was likely SL’s second choice when naming Tubereuse Criminelle…
Rabbit rabbit rabbit! I never know what to do rabbit-wise: I feel such a poor sport (skite) to always get there first and yet I also feel like I’ve handed in my homework late if I wait an extra day for the rest of the world to catch up. So, it’s a bit of a no-win situation. But I did see a rabbit yesterday. Anyway, coconut is my perfume problem and Bronze Goddess is my trial. So yesterday I went and sampled it again ( having given away my bottle of BG years ago). It’s not that I don’t like it…it’s more that I don’t like wearing it. But I am glad I gave it another go.
A pair of ducks have moved into the drain at the end of our road. They act like they don’t have a concern in the world, sitting in the middle of the asphalt warm road when it suits, wandering into our gardens for tidbits, facing off the neighbourhood cats. They are the reckless teenagers of the duck world.
Today wearing Fils de Joie which got mentioned yesterday, also a love .
Also, Robin…hope you feel better soon. I had shingles once and it was miserable so good on you for getting it sorted. I think whooping cough is another one that needs looking into after a certain age ( as the childhood shot most people get loses oomph)
Thank you Kanuka! Everyone I know who has had it says its misery. This shot was not so fun either but a couple days beats weeks of misery, right?
Honestly did not know adults could get whooping cough!
I wore Fils de Joie yesterday, you smell wonderful! How did I not know about this fragrance until last week?
Isn’t it a goodie. I am making cider apple donuts today . Thanks for the recipe. Yum yum yum.
It’s okay to rabbit on time for you (and a bit early for us)–an extra reminder for me since I often forget. I love your story about the ducks. I once saw a pair (male and female) of mallards sitting next some flowers at a garden shop. They were happily ignoring all of us shoppers and finding small snacks on the ground to enjoy. Just lovely.
And by “us”, I just mean those of us in the U.S. I re-read my post and realized it didn’t make sense for lots of other folks, like JB in S. Africa or others in Europe, etc, etc.
Haha!I can only rabbit in about 3 and a half hours!
Every rabbit helps I suppose!
I would worry about the ducks in the drain if they have a nest as every house around here has a cat and ducklings wouldn’t last long ( plus hawks are in the area).
Hope you’ll have a decent Spring soon!
Snow in October?Wow!
Today was 32° celcius here!
Cannot wait for the first Spring rains, supposedly next week.
XO’s
We were on 3 Celsius this morning…but nice and sunny! Send heat!
A good choice, as I’d find it hard to wear a perfume by that name.
Will be a good match if I decide to body paint myself this weekend…why should Gwyneth have all the fun.
Oh, I’m talking Bronze Goddess not Fils de Joie , which I didn’t know the meaning of until just now
FWIW, go ahead and rabbit on your Friday if you remember. After all, you don’t wait to eat breakfast until 7am NYC time.
I am twins with madtowngirl in Musc Ravageur. I’ve read comments where people say it’s so dirty/sexy they won’t wear it outside the house, and my experience is that it’s a spicy vanilla/tonka thing. I bought a decant about eight years ago that probably has 3-4 more wears in it (it’s evaporating like mad) and I won’t need any more when it’s gone. I have Une Crime Exotique for spice that I like better.
Good pick, as Musc Ravageur was an utter scrubber for me – not much of a musk fan at the best of times.
Hey twin!🙌 I don’t find it dirty either, just musk, vanilla and cloves. Lots of cloves. I bet the oil is sexy as all get out though.
I love MR, but asked two friends for their honest opinion and they both said it smelled like B.O. on me. ugh!
Musc Ravageur smelled exactly like one of my (now) deceased uncles. Highly disturbing!
I couldn’t find Timbuktu, so I went with Dzing! My first sniffing note on this one read simply “probably not”, but now I quite like it. L’Artisan sure has made some lovely oddities.
Glad for the weekend and the first date night with my husband in 6 months!
Enjoy your date night!
The mentions of Une Fleur de Cassie reminded me that I haven’t worn it for ages. I loved it when I first tried it and bought a FB at the first opportunity, but I’m now thinking my tastes might have changed as I haven’t felt any particular urge to wear it. I’ll wear it today and find out 🙂
Updating my comment to say all good! Une Fleur de Cassie is as lovely as ever and I have no idea why I haven’t worn it for ages 🙂
Yay!
So I am inadvertently a commando scent-twin with Robin, and for a similar reason — I had horrible nightmares last night, overslept, and had to race before jumping into a work Zoom call at 9.
I just made the Easy as Pie apple cake again, this time with GF flour, to take to the sailing group potluck this evening. I think the GF version is not as successful. It probably tastes fine, but the batter was so very thick that it has become more of a cobbler than a cake.
Yum! That cake sounds delicious! I got to googling. Is it the one from the NYTs cooking?
Yes! Also at Food52.
The GF version tasted great. I prefer the texture of the regular-flour version, but my GF friend was really happy! (And I was happy that she was happy.) there were only six of us at the potluck and all I brought home for Mr. Skal was a little sliver. 🙂
I am making that cake tonight for a belated birthday cake for oldest son!
I hope you are feeling better from the shot, Robin! I had been bugging my sis to get one, she didn’t the got the shingles. Thankfully it wasn’t too bad, though still very painful. I’ve been scared of it ever since my Dad had it; his was all over his back and he said it felt like being on fire. He was a pretty tough guy and had been through a lot, so when he said it was the worst thing he’d been through, I took note! So for those of you considering the shot but procrastinating I encourage you to get it done!
Enough of my lecturing, sorry!
My SOTD is l’Heure Bleue. I respect it, but Guerlinade and me don’t get along and though I don’t mind powdery scents, this one has a LOT. My bf said one time when he came in and I was wearing it, “are you babysitting? Where is the baby powder coming from?”
That’s awful about your dad’s story. My grandma used to get it (before there was a vaccine) and she would cry and cry from the pain. I do need to get the shots now (soon); I got another one but I gather it’s been superseded. I’m a bit anxious since I need to do that, the new Covid booster, AND the new flu shot. It’s a lot to cope with.
I can understand about the “Guerlinade.” I do like it but it’s complicated. I thought someone today would put on Mitsouko for the CP but I haven’t seen that yet. It’s often cited as a hard-to-love scent.
Gi, it is now Saturday and I am recovering, but honestly, still tired! Totally beats everything I’ve heard about having shingles, though.
I am back home and happy to be reunited with my perfumes. I am wearing YSL Paris.
I had a very eventful 2 months. I experienced all kind of emotions, it is good to be back at home.
Welcome back home!
Welcome back home! You smell lovely.
Welcome home!
Seeing the first outlying clouds of Ian this afternoon. It’s a chilly, gloomy day today.
Mr. Jalapeno said that the high water is continuing to recede from his stepmom’s backyard. It is still over the seawall, though. AFAIK they never lost power, which makes them super lucky for Florida folks.
SOTD = Opium Eau d’Orient Orchidee de Chine EdT.
I don’t find Opium difficult, and this is a “summer” version of it. But one time I was wearing the original EdT or EdP, and Mr. Jalapeno complained about the “old lady perfume”. I gave him a very dirty look and replied that I wear perfume for my own enjoyment, thank you very much.
I’ve heard old lady comments when I wore Opium too. Even back in the nineties. I don’t get it. I always think of it as a sexy/ mysterious perfume.
I don’t get the “old lady” comments, either. I agree with you on sexy & mysterious.
I’m modifying today’s cp somewhat to wearing a scent note that many of us love but others find difficult – patchouli. I’ve always loved it and, as a seasonal fragrance wearer, especially love it in late winter on the cusp of spring, before there are any visible signs of renewal and yet I can visualize the earth beginning to stir with new life just beneath my feet.
But I love patchouli any time of the year, and a favorite for fall is Molinard’s Vanille Patchouli from its old Autour de Vanille line (+ it’s a much-❤️ed souvenir from a fantastic Viking River cruise to the south of France in autumn) and my SOTD. The patch is strong at first, and I visualize it as a ball cocooned in a thin layer of vanilla. As the days grow shorter and the nights colder and longer, the vanilla layer thickens and strengthens to warm and comfort me while the patch quiets its presence but still remains, a reminder that it will burst forth again as the days begin to warm and the earth renews itself.
Tomorrow I’m looking forward to watching my grandson’s rowing team in a regatta nearby, and then celebrating my DIL’s birthday; I feel so blessed to have them all near. Wishing everyone a lovely weekend ahead!
Laila, hope you are having a wonderful family Saturday!
I’m wearing SL Santal de Mysore today. This fragrance prompts quite contrary reviews: I think you love it or hate it. The most common complaint is that it smells like curry or is just too gourmand. I find it alluring but it does teeter on the edge of being too much of a spice-fest with cumin, saffron, fenugreek, and more. What saves it for me is that it’s really not sweet and it has a rich deep feeling, perhaps due to the benzoin. It’s not sickeningly sweet like Arabie. For sandalwood phobes, this might work; I truly think it avoids the “dill pickle” note (thinking of you, Nancy!). I have three other SL sandalwoods and this is my favorite of them all. I’m happy we finally got a hint of autumn here (in the 60’s this morning!) so I could wear this.
No weekend plans except I’m trying a new recipe for mushroom and wild rice soup! I am also trying to do a major sort of three years’ worth of medical bills and records for both my mother and myself. Somehow they have all accumulated in piles and file folders on my dining table and I am putting my own foot down on myself this weekend! Enough is enough! My tidy mom and thrifty dad would be appalled at me!
I didn’t care for Santal de Mysore. It smelled like a cedar chest to me, and not sandalwood.
I’m so glad to not be the only one with piles of medical stuff. I have 4 different places of piles. Lol.
Gosh, I always mean to get here earlier in the day, but work gets in the way. My CP contribution is Andrea Maack Coven, which warranted the coworker I shared an office with a few years ago to complain to me about it bothering her. It is a very strong perfume, and I definitely shouldn’t have worn it to work given her known sensitivities to perfume. We’re still coworkers and good friends, but now we mostly work remote so I can easily wear Coven during my work day!
Perfect pick then!
Super late but I participated in Angel today. It took me forever to come around to it. I was determined through. I started with the sadly discontinued body powder pearls ( talk about luxurious!) Then worked my way to the perfume.
You are our resident expert on things TM!
Wore The Bug today which I sometimes find difficult but today was pretty nice. My parents still have a house! With a roof! And the kitties were okay!
What’s The Bug?
And great news about your parents!
I believe it’s by Lush. I don’t think I’ve ever tried it though.
Thanks.
I see that’s the real name. I thought it was one of our little insider nicknames like Box of Eels!
Robin, I’d be interested to hear your “simple and comforting” faves. That seems to be what interests me most these days.
Perfect idea for a community project.
Added to list!
Maybe tell me what you mean by “simple”, though, if you see this very late comment? Would it encompass Theorema, for instance?
