Another perfume ad of the woman / women in nature. đŸ„±

I have to wonder what the direction for that spot was like. “Splash in the water, enjoy the sun”, “Frolic!”. And how would I feel as one of those women? Roll eyes, have a smoke in the break, remember the paycheck for that bit of sillyness.

The result says nothing to me – incredibly banal. I’d like them to acknowledge I have a brain as well as a wallet. I’m probably not the target audience here anyhow.

Is it even fair to expect something more from advertising?

I don’t even know how to frolic. Lol.

Probably why you and me are not likely to get paid for frolicking on camera then. 😉

It is incredibly similar to another commercial within the past two months, but there are so many in this vein that I can’t remember what it was.

I just realised you tagged this with “girl in grassy field” and had a little chuckle at what came up when I clicked the tag link. You’re right – there are so many of them 😀

We could have a sub-tag for “girl in white cotton dress lying on grassy field” — even that bit is ubiquitous.

I am not a Tory Burch sort of person. I don’t know that it annoyed me, but it certainly didn’t make me want to run try them either.

I got bored after the first 30 seconds and quit watching.

I watched it for the song, I have to admit. What a huge disconnect between the song and the video. đŸ€” And yeah, how many ways can you say “insipid?”

I clicked for the song too. Perfume commercials are really bad at song matching. I hate that they take perfectly good old songs and turn them into mush.

All for the music over here! On one hand, all these gals are young and thin. No mature women, no fluffy gals, all very bland. On the other hand, I guess there is some progress since there are women of differing skin tones. But still, not a great promo. But then, I’m one of those mature, fluffy gals, so naturally not feeling the vibe! 😆

Wow, the as is absolutely as awful as everyone says — not that I doubted you, but I could not anticipate the magnitude.

New (?) CP idea: wear the perfume advertised in the worst ad — print or video — you’ve ever seen.
