Tory Burch Essence of Dreams ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 5 August 2022 7 Comments

Tory Burch has launched Essence of Dreams, a new collection of five fragrances: Cosmic Wood, Divine Moon, Electric Sky, Mystic Geranium and Sublime Rose. Essence of Dreams is the brand's first fragrance launch since the license moved from Estee Lauder to Shiseido at the beginning of 2020.

Cosmic Wood ~ Developed by perfumer Ralf Schwieger. "Cosmic Wood captures the essence of magic. A world of vibrant possibilities, it combines spicy cardamom, jasmine and vetiver, a favorite of Tory’s father, Buddy. The warm base is grounded by smoky wood, patchouli and sage." Additional notes include ambrette and vetiver.

Divine Moon ~ Developed by perfumer Frank Voelkl. "Divine Moon captures the essence of peace. Heady and enchanting, unique yet familiar, it is an intoxicating blend of Lady of the Night flower, honey and citrus. Inspired by Tory’s garden and apiary in Antigua, the balance is soothing and transportive." Additional notes include bergamot, rhubarb, sandalwood and almond milk.

Electric Sky ~ Developed by perfumers Olivier Gillotin and Christine Hassan. "Electric Sky captures the essence of freedom. Vibrant and rapturous, like the energy after a storm, it is an unexpected mix of refreshing cactus flower, lavender and wood. Saltwater lends a mineral quality to the fragrance, blended with blue sage and a Palo Santo accord for warmth and positivity." Additional notes include vetiver.

Mystic Geranium ~ Developed by perfumer Honorine Blanc. "Mystic Geranium captures the essence of joy. Serene and idyllic, in harmony with nature, it blends fresh bergamot, aromatic geranium and musk. Warm notes of cedarwood ground the fragrance with an aura of calm." Additional notes include lotus.

Sublime Rose ~ Developed by perfumer Pierre Negrin. "Sublime Rose captures the essence of love. Alluring and beguiling, it combines classic rose with a hint of blackcurrant and a warm wood undertone. Delicate notes of freesia accent the rose heart of the fragrance." Additional notes include dreamwood (Firmenich sandalwood molecule) and patchouli.

Tory Burch Essence of Dreams Cosmic Wood, Divine Moon, Electric Sky, Mystic Geranium and Sublime Rose are available in 10 ($29), 50 ($90) and 90 ($125) ml Eau de Parfum.

These sound interesting, for all that I thought eponymous Tory Burch perfume was kind of dull. I do like the retro chic bottles.

The names sound a lot like the recent Estee Lauder collection.

Those bottles look like a shampoo bottle I remember from my childhood. Can’t recall the brand, though.
