It's Friday and National Lipstick Day. Also, International Tiger Day, and that's the subject of our community project: wear whatever you think fits the tiger theme.
What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.
I'm doing the last leg of my drive home from vacation, wearing Aedes de Venustas Copal Azur. No cp points for me this week.
Reminder: on 8/5, wear a fragrance that says August to you...something that fits with your local weather, or what is blooming at the moment where you live, or that would work where you wish you were this month. Adapted from a suggestion by Laila.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2022, where I'll try (but obviously sometimes fail) to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

Good morning and TGIF!
Claiming half cp points with another big cat perfume, Cartier La Panthere.
I love tigers so much, such beautiful creatures.
Currently drinking lavender Earl Grey.
Forgot to add: Yes Robin, the No.1 serum is the new one in the red bottle. Fingers crossed for good results!
Thanks and good luck!
I love your SOTD!
You smell wonderful!
Oeillet Bengale to go with Bengal tigers but also because I wasn’t in the mood for Tiger’s Nest and this was the best my brain could do so early in the morning
Good call! You smell wonderful.
And it is more than enough!
In Canada we have a kind of ice cream called Tiger Tail, which is orange-flavoured (and -coloured) ice cream swirled with black licorice: I don’t much eat ice cream any more but it is my favourite by a pretty good margin.
Unaccountably, nobody seems to ever have created a licorice-orange scent, so I made my own with a spritz each of Hermès Brin de Reglisse and CSP Vanille Orange, and it is FAN TASTIC. I’m gonna reapply it. I may be wearing this a bunch.
I will remember this when I visit my in-laws in Canada
I love tiger tail ice cream!
I don’t like licorice much by itself, but it’s amazing how good licorice ice cream is! There was a fantastic gelato place by the apartment we rented in Copenhagen some years back, and they made a terrific licorice gelato that paired beautifully with other flavours!
I used to live close by a Swensen’s ice-cream parlour, and their licorice ice cream was gorgeous. My favourite thing there was a milkshake made of half Licorice, half Sticky Chewy Chocolate. It looked like a tar pit but it tasted like heaven. Licorice and chocolate is a great combination that doesn’t get enough love. Around the corner from the Swensen’s was a candy store that sold lakrits, which are basically M&Ms/Smarties with a black-licorice candy shell.
That sounds like a great scent combo; thanks for the idea!
Pyramus, I remember you mentioning this before, and the combination sounds intriguing! You may, want to check out this. Link. Profumum Audace contains both those notes, along with others. 😉
Next time I’m at an ice cream parlor, I’ll see if they have those flavors. I can *almost* imagine it.
Oops.

Tiger Tail ice cream sound delicious, and I am glad to see so many others of the licorice loving kind here! I looked for black licorice last weekend but only found that red “licorice.” I will have to check one of our town’s specialty groceries for a bag of Allsorts soon!
Sounds like a great scent combo! Yes to Tiger Tail ice cream! Waving from the West Coast.
That ice cream came up here before and I’ve wanted some ever since.
Plus extra points for creative cp-ing.
Tigers are one of my favorite cats. Those eyes! The stripes..so so beautiful.
I really enjoyed this CP!
For the CP Black Saffron-If a Tiger was lounging in the Library.
There is animalic notes in this one-mixed with leather and sweetness
For extra points I am wearing the green eyeshadow from Chantecaille in the Tiger compact.
National lippy day!!
I will wear Wayne Goss in Iris
And I wore my usual “same color as my lips” Nars Fast Lane 🙂
I wore Laneige lip mask. I love that stuff and the little jar has lasted well over a year even though I wear it every day.
I went literal with Jungle le Tigre.
🌟
What is it like, PriscillaE? I’ve never sniffed it, and fragrantica reviews all made it sound weird.
I like the drydown better than the initial scent. I don’t know if it is the kumquat, but there is a strange, sour scent initially. It wears off, and what you are left with is a rather generic citrus floral scent. I like sour smells, such as grapefruit and rhubarb, but this one stumped me. I like Jungle L’Elephant much better, just not for summer in Texas. On paper at least Tigre is better for hot conditions, but it is not as well rounded as L’Elephant. Which is good, because the ebay prices for even a tiny mini of Le Tigre was triple digits.
Thanks, PriscillaE! Now I have to go and see if any other scents use kumquat as a note. 🙂
Yeah, I saw those prices on eBay, too. Whew!
For today’s theme I went for the tiger’s deep purr in Knize Ten.
Ooh, I love Knize Ten. We had a sample of it that my husband spilled, and I’ve never replaced it, but it may be my favorite leather. You smell GORGEOUS.
Thanks! It’s one of my favorite leathers too — so elegant. Makes me wish that Mr. G could be induced to wear scent, but so far no dice.
Not sure I would want to share a bottle of Knize Ten!
When I was in China, I got to pet tiger cubs. Their fur is more coarse than I expected. When I travel, I usually bring samples to wear but I don’t remember what I was wearing that day. So I’ll pretend I was wearing Rhubarbe Ecarlate.
What a great memory to see and touch beautiful tiger cubs! You reminded me of the time I saw a man with his leashed pet serval cat standing at the ATM of a bank where I worked. He and the cat were both very aloof, but I asked if I could pet the cat, and he said yes. I had the same surprise – its beautiful spotted coat was very rough to the touch.
I had a close encounter of the exotic kind several years ago at a Cabella’s (sporting & hunting goods store) of all places! Pretty sure mine was a serval, too.
I had the opportunity to pet a cheetah once in Southern Africa and can confirm the fur felt coarse rather than soft and fluffy. The fur had a soft, fluffy undercoat, but you felt the coarse guard hairs when petting them.
I chose Dzing! for the lady riding the tiger on the original bottle.
National lipstick day – spending a day in quarantine with a fabulous red lip. Kosas Electra is just perfect for my coloring.
Have a great day everyone!!
What a great cp idea and you smell (and look) fabulous!
I chose Dzing also. Love my old bottle.
You smell great! I wish I had the old bottle, but the juice still smells great in my newer version.
I have that bottle! you smell great!
Excellent.
Brilliant choice!
TGIF! Wearing Ed Hardy Tiger Ink from a manufacturer’s sample. Amber, patchouli, saffron, vanilla. The opening is very loud, but after an hour it becomes a skin scent. It is definitely not working for me, so to the good bye pile it goes.
Another hot, humid day. On my second cup of iced coffee and thinking about spraying lavishly on Cristalle when I get home tonight.
Happy Friday! 🌞
Love the image of you spraying Cristalle lavishly 🙂
😊
Hope you are home and happily spritzing Cristalle now!
Ready to grab that bottle just now! I am going to be deliciously wafting Cristalle all over the place! 😀
Definitely spray Cristalle lavishly!
Done! 😀
Happy Friday!
Inspired by ockeghem and PL67, I’m in lavish sprays of Synthetic Jungle.
You smell wonderful!
Yes, you smell wonderful – and will for the rest of the day. 🙂
I wish! My perfume-eating skin will make quick work of the initial lavishing and additional lavishing will be required 🙂
Yes, you do smell wonderful! 😀
Twins with thegoddessrena (and house twins with Robin) in Oeillet Bengale.
I did not see any tigers in Africa (duh), but some of their relatives, like leopards, are pretty amazing. One must have been right next to our cabin one night, because a baboon started screeching its leopard warning in the middle of the night.
We have the best of the big cats in Africa!
Yes! 😀 I saw a lot of a little ex-cat called a genet that I’d never known about. They were so cute, and I’d never known about them before.
(I gather it’s an ex-cat because it used to be considered a cat but it’s more related to the civet.)
I’d never heard of a genet, I learn so much from NST besides perfume 🙂
I’m with Gaynor on the genets. I learned something new today!
Robin, what a great picture! I am non-CP-compliant in Passage d’Enfer, but I sure do smell great.
Relatedly, has l’Artisan Parfumeur discontinued Safran Troublant? I missed this, and now am very sad I never got myself a bottle 🙁 Serves me right for pushing it off for a few years.
Yes, it’s been discontinued. So sad. I had a bottle years ago but swapped it away. Wouldn’t you know, someone sent me some once, I think it was an extra, and I fell in love with it again. So I found a bottle on eBay for a not-outrageous price and bought it! Let me know if you want a decant, because it was a big bottle and now I have more than enough.
standing dawt armsakimbo att geemale
I just sent you an email! Thank you for the offer 🙂
They also discontinued Dzing! 😢
Sacrilege!
WHAAAAA?
Although better known for its natural passion fruit note, the base of Arielle Shoshana’s Saturday was inspired by Saffran Troublant. Saturday is well worth trying in its own right, too!
Interesting, those two don’t smell similar to me at all! But I quite like Saturday, and have a travel spray of it 🙂
What a bummer, missing out on a perfume favorite. 😥
You do indeed smell wonderful.
I went literal (like PriscillaE, above) with Heeley’s Esprit du Tigre. It’s the scent I reach for when I am dead tired, but need to gird up and go on. Bracing up top with camphor, and comforting in the dry down with cardamom. Be well.
That was a fun one.
I love the picture and the tiger’s blep – yes it’s Friday!
SOTD = Francesca Bianchi Tyger Tyger
Double points even with the misspelling. I did not rack my brain too hard yesterday because as soon as I opened a drawer, there it was! Today, it’s a powdered honey leather floral and I am sticking with this description. I do keep smelling wafts of myself and each waft is somehow different from the previous one.
If you are eating, don’t read the below:
I am somewhat alarmed because I thought I saw someone with monkeypox this morning. He was on a bike talking to someone who is always keeping the McDonald’s door open. Down on the fleshy side of the guy’s leg were big bumpy lesions that so far did not show any broken skin. I did not get close to this person but the bumps were so big I couldn’t help but see them. I know it’s not transmissible by a mere look but it makes what’s in the news very real!
Twins in Tyger Tyger!
I was also going to remark that I only know you who has this but of course there could be more of us!
I noted and loved that blep too! For sure, a beautiful picture.
It is … so cute as I never expected a tiger to blep!
I have a bit of a correction today. It seems that Mr. Jalapeno did not come up with WOMBAT meetings after all. He said he found it on a website called The Jargon File. But he has used it for many years.
Some of the things on it are pretty darn funny.
Probably like SNAFU!
Quite literally learned a new word…how did I not know blep???
Woo hoo!
It’s such an important word, too! Especially if you either have cats or spend as much time on the Internet looking at cat pictures as, say, I do.
I am wearing Cow again as I have most of the week. Tigers eat cows so I’m CP compliant! Kind of 😊
We shaved the cat last night, his mats got out of hand and he was so miserable. Wow, what an ordeal for everybody and I might never get all the fur vacuumed up but he is happier and full of kitten-like energy once he got over the shock. He’s very clingy today. Anyone looking for pet trimmers, I can highly recommend the ones we got from Amazon for $40. Much better than the $400 the vet was charging!
I’d probably pay the $400 just to have somebody else endure the grooming ordeal….
Glad to hear the cat is feeling happier!
The advantage of the vet is that they sedate him, that’s why it’s so pricey. Then they can do a neater job and trim his claws. But IV sedation is hard on his system too, he’s goofy for a whole day afterwards.
Did you shave him like a lion? I especially love an expressive tail!
We did our best, he kind of looks like a lion that tripped over a lawn mower 😱
Aw, poor kitty! I can’t even imagine doing that with my cats. I’d chicken out and take them to the vet.
Oh ringthing, your tiger connection makes me so sad! And also, poor kitty! And poor you for having to do it! Glad it’s over and done with.
No lipstick for me til later; off to the pool 🏊♀️ in a few minutes, then a quick dinner 🍕, and at least 1, maybe even 2 concerts 🎶 tonight (and a Sox game tomorrow, finally!) It’s a beautiful sunny, warm but not hot or sticky day today, and I’m determined not to waste a minute of it. Will catch up on posts later.
For today’s cp I imagine the tiger would approve of my mix of vetiver, patchouli, and ginger – Pacifica Tibetan Mountain Temple. For me, it provides feelings of peace and hope as I look forward to next week’s reunion with a long-lost (for decades) dear cousin.
Wishing everyone peace ☮️ and hope 🤞this weekend. 🙏 And welcome home, Robin! I envy you your trip – Massachusetts and Maine, two of my favorite places.
It’s great finding family after many years. Hope you have a wonderful time with your cousin!
Thank you. His mom was my mom’s favorite sister and we spent a lot of time together when we were younger. I recently learned he had just lost his wife of 43 years; I was able to locate him and send condolences. My dad died when I was a young teenager and my mom gave most of his things away, some of them to my cousin’s parents. Despite his grief and the arduous task of cleaning out their home prior to selling it; he remembered what my mom had given them all those years ago and called to offer to return my dad’s things to me. So a double wonderful reason to look forward to our reunion!
Oh wow.
Oh wow.
Thank you Laila!! Was a long trip home but I had a great time.
Hope the reunion goes swimmingly, that sounds wonderful!
Me, too! Thank you!
Failed the CP, as I never think to look ahead, and I have none of these cool frags that folks are wearing today. And, I may be more befitting a lion than a tiger in Eau des Merveilles. Well, in the classic perfumista answer to everything, at least I smell good! 😁
Wishing everyone a happy and temperate (weather wise) weekend!
The bottle of Eau des Merveilles has orange on it – tiger link?
Thanks, sistine, yes, that was my reasoning, lol! And orange in it!
Taken aback today for the CP: it turns out I did NOT have Fabrege Tigress – it was Flambeau! I rummaged before and after dinner yesterday; I finally concluded I’ve always passed it over because the notes don’t seem special to me, I’ve never found a bottle thrifting, and the online auction prices seem too high. For the CP, delighted instead with Lune Feline, from my FragranceNet PurplLux subscription. BTW, I’ve really enjoyed those travel spray samples PurplLux sends. A really good size for those of us with, err, lots of choice already.
The first time I remember a perfume being mentioned in a song was Tigresse by Faberge in “High School Confidential”
I was thinking of that song just yesterday! I remember when it was on the radio (thanks to CanCon regulations) and couldn’t quite believe the band could get away with those lyrics.
Yes, didn’t even want to mention the name of the band here! The lyrics wouldn’t be bleeped on the radio, but the song would fade out at crucial moments…
Oh I wish you had Tigress! It’s one of my earliest perfume memories. My mom had a bottle of it when I was very young. I don’t exactly recall the scent; but that bottle, especially the fuzzy lid!
My first thought when I saw this CP was, ‘I wish I had Tigress to wear!’ I used to ❤️ it back in the day.
I was going to go with Memo Tiger’s Nest, but it’s just too much for this extremely hot day in the desert.
Instead, I opted for Osmanthe Yunnan, which is light, airy, and cheerful.
Everybody smells so good today!
Yep, you made the right choice for a hot day.
Wearing both my minis-into-spray-decants, namely Eau Sauvage and Eau Magnolia. Will go through the rest of the minis this weekend to see what else is decant-worthy.
I should have brought Eau Sauvage with me, that would have been a good choice today.
No brain space to think about the CP, but am in Paris-Deauville and feeling very chic (while working from home and definitely not dressed up). Funnily, before I saw the Lipstick Day Info, I’d tested another of my RED lipsticks. This one is a Sephora brand mini that must have come in a trial set. Turns out it’s an excellent blue-red on me. Huh. (And I cannot find a color name or number on it anywhere.)
So annoying to find a great lipstick with no identifying information on it.
Like finding a perfume sample where the label has worn off. I have quite a few mystery samples rolling around.
https://teara.govt.nz/en/photograph/10067/alpine-tiger-moths
The stars are back (and it’s freezing cold). NZ has a very cool Tiger Moth. It lives in the mountains, in tussocks. The female spends her whole life in a fuzzy cocoon, and can’t fly ( her wings are like stumps). She emits pheromones to attract the stripey winged males who mate her. When the eggs hatch the young eat the mother and that’s the end of her. Kids! Rotten things!! Wearing moth , a drop from a sample.
https://www.museothyssen.org/en/collection/artists/dali-salvador/dream-caused-flight-bee-around-pomegranate-second-waking
Hope someone wears Dali perfume today!
Oh I love that one so much!!
Dali was a genius.
What a story!
I’m the least creative person here since I’m in Tiger’s Nest! Yes it’s not too suitable for hot weather. I put some on early before my morning shower so it’s toned down now (defanged?) and I hope I don’t harm anyone with my fierceness here at the physical therapy place.
You go kick some ass at therapy!
🕺🕺🤗🌹
I hope your therapy goes well and you’re not too sore afterwards. By the way, still no Stranger but I watched and enjoyed Persuasion, the new version. It was perfect for a wet afternoon …and Richard E Grant!
FYI, if you’re a Richard E. Grant fan, he has a perfume line!
https://www.jackperfume.co.uk/
I can attest to original Jack being a great perfume!
Glad to hear that you are getting some OT/PT!
I am twins with hajusuuri in Tyger Tyger. And I am very thrilled to report that I finally sold my house yesterday! I am so very relieved. It took 2.5 months and seemed like it was going nowhere, even after dropping the price twice. I took a loss but it wasn’t as much as I feared. It’s a miracle!
Wonderful, congrats! Will you stay in the same area, or return to your previous locale?
Going back to Montreal.
Yay for closure and resolving immense stress!!🤗🌹✌🏻🕺🕺
Congrats on the sale of the house! What a great weight lifted off your shoulders! 👍🏼
Congratulations!!!
Yay!!! So very happy for you. That is great news!
Congratulations! I’m very happy for you! Such a relief.
Excellent – what a great relief!
That is the best news all week. Well done and what a relief. Hope you can celebrate.
That’s great news!
Cheers
So so glad you were able to sell! Congratulations!
Lots of places over here in the Lower Mainland that don’t seem to be moving. One close by me just took the hanging sign down but left the big wooden frame there, so I imagine they delisted and will be relisting soon. It’s a cute place, if only I had $4mm for a 1.5 floor bungalow, plus a basement suite.
Whoo hoo and big congratulations! Very happy to hear that weight is off your shoulders now. 🎆✨🎊
Very happy news! Congratulations!
Congratulations!! that is excellent news .
So happy for you!
Oh yay, so glad to hear it!!
Wonderful news!
Cuba Paris is my SOTD.
I have a photograph of my grandfather as a young man, smoking a cigar, somewhere in India, before they departed to South Africa via Kenya. He had many photographs of tigers from his time in India, and when he was older,he used to carve these wooden tigers and cattle from Jacaranda wood,”to kill the time” as he said.I still have some of the figurines, and I treasure them.Kinda sorta links to the theme, right?
Checkup today revealed I’ll be a-okay and 100% within a couple of weeks, after my accident. So grateful.
XO’s!🤗🌹✌🏻
👍on the clean bill of health/healing. So cool you have tiger figurines!
Carved with a pocket knife,no less!Haha!
I was always amazed at my Grandfather with his epic pocket knife collection, and the cotton handkerchiefs he always carried!
Yay for making a complete recovery!
Indeed yay!
I’ve been trying not to think about it too much, but today’s news made me feel at ease.
Happy to hear about your continued healing! And really, those hand carved items are such a lovely connection to your grandfather.😍
Thank you Deva!
I’ve been thinking a lot about him lately!
✌🏻🤗🌹
That’s such good news about your recovery! Glad you are feeling better!
Thank you Gail,Happy Friday!🌹🤗
Those carvings sound incredible and jacaranda has such beautiful colour and grain. So glad you are mending well. Have a happy weekend.
Thanks Kanuka,Happy weekend to you as well!☀️🌹🤗
Hooray on the 100% recovery! And your tiger collection sounds fabulous. My maternal grandfather has a special place in my heart too despite him being a strict disciplinarian. He gifted me a pair of channel-style diamond huggies and I suppose I can blame him for my taste in earrings.
That is awesome!
I was much closer to my Grandmother, but we developed a good bond in the later stages of his life.
Yay for your full recovery!
I cannot agree more!🕺✌🏻🌹
Great news on your recovery!
Thank you!🌹☀️
I think you definitely get cp points for that association. And so glad to hear you are recovering well. (Corn dogs for the win!)
Thank you springpansy, how are you doing?🤗🌹✌🏻
Those tigers sound awesome — I love those kind of links. My maternal great-grandfather built things in his wood shop out back of their house, and I’ve treasured a number of them over the years.
I’m so glad to hear that you’ll be back to 100% soon!
Love the little treasure we have from those before us.Good memories associated.🤗🌹
Excellent news about your recovery, and those figurines your Grandfather carved sound like wonderful keepsakes!
They are so precious I don’t display them, but keep them in a waxed paperwrap that someone suggested I should do,to keep them from cracking.
Wonderful news! So, so happy for you! 🌹🧡
Thank you M!🤗🌹
Great news J B!🌞
Right?Haha!
🤗☀️🕺🕺✌🏻
That’s just wonderful! (and so is the story about your grandfather)
Hope you are home safe Robin!🤗🌹✌🏻
Sending positive energies and continued good wishes for your speedy and complete healing.
Thanks Laila!🌹🤗
Wearing Rose Chérie today. I tried this previously and was surprised how much I liked it. I get the comparisons to French Kiss, which I had a decant of, but like this better I think…a sweet but tart rose w/ violet. I find it a bit fleeting though and may add some Insolence EDT to the mix later. I found an old but opened bottle on evilBay a while back from when it first came out and OMG it has oomph.😆
I like Rose Chérie better too – matbe more rose and sweeter?
Yes, it is sweeter and rosier if that is a word. 😉
True to my threat, I have added some Insolence EDT. It was actually an unopened bottle and the batch code is 2006 which was the year it came out hence why I pounced when I found it on eBay. (small tiger reference 🐅 ) The packaging is quite interesting and must have been some kind of promotional packaging b/c it says enjoy our new release and it’s written in multiple languages on one side of the box. Haven’t worn it in a while and I had forgotten how beautiful it is and what a beast in terms of projection.
Haha – pounce AND beast – cp points for you!
Oh, beautiful photo!
Believe it or not, I just put on a freshly washed maxi and I can still smell perfume on it! I can’t place it, plus I think the molecular structure has been completely destroyed by the wash/dryer, but it still smells like perfume! 😮
No scent of the day yet. I bought a new perfume box at target yesterday so I’m busy reorganizing my collection to make small bottles and decants more accessible. Still hunkering down in the A/C and will probably extend for a couple more days. Stay cool, peeps!
I’m so curious about the extent of your collection while you are mobile!Do you have another stash somewhere else,or are the things with you in the van the whole shebang?
I have an area in the van where I store the perfume box, which is dark and a mostly consistent temp, unless it’s crazy hot like right now. It’s in the dark and if it’s hot enough for me to be in a hotel, the perfume comes in with me. I don’t care about cold temperatures, but if it’s unreasonably hot, I bring the most important things in the hotel room with me- ie; me, the dog, perfumes! I’ll post a pic when I get them reorganized. So happy you’re on your way back to a 100%! 🙌
That is so cool!
I’d defo take the perfume box to the hotel as well!Haha!
I love this!
Go, A/C! So glad you’re somewhere comfortable. (Now if only I could be…thought about that, but all the hotels, even the “Quality Inns” and “Comfort Inns” want $400, go figure.)
The cost of hotels is absolutely ridiculous! Add a dog into the mix, which most hotels charge an additional $25-50/night, and it’s just legalized robbery. It’s hotter here than my home town in Florida! 🥵
Can she pay for it with free pets?
Wouldn’t that be nice?!
Some of Andy Tauer’s perfumes will survive a couple of trips thru the wash and be recognizable. That is tenacity!
Totally unrelated to ANYTHING,but I just had to share my latest obsession…corn dogs…
LOL!
They caught my eye recently at the Deli down my street, and I have been having AT LEAST one on the daily!!So good!!!
Back to the normal schedule
🤣✌🏻🤗
JB – I’m with you on this one. I may have mentioned eating healthy foods, but I am willing to believe that corn dogs will buoy your spirits as you recover. I am so interested to learn how your local deli found out about corn dogs. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corn_dog
I should enquire from them, because it’s definitely not a traditional South African type of snack or food at all!First time I’ve come accross it as well!(Dipped in spicy mustard,YUMMM!!)🤣🤣
I think corn dogs are the key to your recovery! 🤣
Hahaha!Well it sure makes me feel better!
And according to wikipedia it IS a thing in S-Africa,who knew!!🤣🤣✌🏻
I love corn dogs. My 92-year-old grandmother in the US Midwest does, as well, and people bring her boxes of them from Costco. 🙂 Funny thing — I don’t like hot dogs, but corn dogs, sign me up.
I’m with you regarding hot dogs, but corn dogs!?!Yum.
How wonderful to still enjoy the little things at 92!Love that
Oh wow. It’s been forever since I’ve had a corn dog. There used to even be a cheesy corn dog version, where it alternated chunks of cheese and hot dog on the stick.
I would totally eat a cheesy version as well!
I just bought a box of corn dogs yesterday!
They come BY THE BOXFUL even??I am jealous!!Haha!
XO
No fragrance today yet but I made some boursin, so I’m wearing the scent of green onions and dill from my garden (along with garlic).
Ha! You smell delicious!
That sounds delicious
Yummmmm
Drool-worthy!
I have a sample of Tyger Tyger, which I’ll save for the evening. Meanwhile, I’m looking out the window at a dull wet day. Very uninspiring.
I’d take a dull wet day over a sunny hot day with no climate control. 🙂 (We’re supposed to go back to dull and wet next week. Also we all complained through June that it was too dull and wet, and now we want it back 🙂 )
Joining a couple of others in Dzing! I have just a bit left in my old bottle with the lady riding the tiger. How could they do away with that bottle? And that fragrance?!
I played all day yesterday on my day off so today I am paying the piper and doing housework all day. Next week I work two days and then we camp on San Juan Island Wed thru Fri – yayyyyyy! Nine working days left until retirement, but who’s counting? ME!
I LOOOOOVE San Juan Island! (Though I’m usually there in the off season — I know it’s so much better when it’s warm.) Enjoy!
I’ve been there both winter and summer and I always love it, but it *is* especially nice when it’s warmer and less rainy. 😀
OOOOOoooh, exciting! Both the trip, and The Final Countdown!
Congratulations on the countdown! How exciting!
Never been to the San Juan Islands but it was one of my Dad’s favorite places!
Nine working days!! Yay.
“Tyger Tyger burning bright,
In the forests of the night;
What immortal hand or eye,
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?”
Had to throw in the William Blake quote for today! 🐅🐅
Thought long and hard about this one. I went back in the NST archives to see what I wore for the Year Of The Tiger CP just for grins. Decided on something different than the lovely Sana Jardin Tiger By Her Side.
SOTD = Opium Eau d’Orient Orchidee de Chine EdT. When I think of tigers, I think of a powerful, spicy, opulent perfume. Even a summer flanker of Opium checks all those boxes too.
Excellent choice!
Thanks springpansy! Glad I went easy on the perfume sprayer today. My perfume bloomed like nobody’s business.
I don’t even know what this smells like but I bet you smell fabulous!
If you can imagine a more floral Opium, you’ve got a good baseline for what my SOTD is.
Smelling great Jalapeno!
I was not thinking of today’s charge when I chose OJ Champaca, but find myself accidentally in compliance, what with all the notes associated with Asia – bamboo, basmati, green tea.
Great association!
Sampling (yet again, because I keep thinking I’m *supposed* to love it) Musc Ravageur, which has been compared to cat fur.
I found it to be very masculine and didn’t care for it on myself. I think on someone else I would like it though.
I randomly grabbed 10 Corso Como today. I think I am the odd person that doesn’t enjoy it. I decided to thunk it and be done with it.
