It's Friday, plus World Art Day, National Anime Day, the Universal Day of Culture, plus Leonardo da Vinci’s birthday. What it isn't is Tax Day in the US, but all the same, that the theme of our community project: pick your poison...wear the fragrance (presumably from a sample) you'd buy if you had an unexpected windfall, or wear a cheap thrill.
What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.
I went cheap-as-chips, with Berdoues Assam of India. You can get the 10 ml travel spray for $25, although then you don't get the elephants on the bottle. The full size is still perfumath free at $88 for 100 ml.
Reminder: on 4/22, wear a fragrance with a narcissus note, if you have one.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2022, where I'll try (but obviously sometimes fail) to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

Good morning and TGIF!
Sotd is a sample from my windfall wishlist, Amouage Lilac Love.
Currently drinking lavender Earl Grey.
Purple theme! Lilac Love sure is pretty, but yes, a windfall might be needed.
Lilac Love is lovely!
I’m in a couple of drops of the original Halston, from an ancient but well-preserved commercial sample, one of those gorgeous Bernard Chant seventies chypres (I mean, he made Cabochard and Aromatics Elixir, which tells you all you need to know). Windfall? I’d track down an ounce of the original perfume (which may well no longer exist, but we can dream).
That was lovely stuff.
I used to wear Halston, back in the day. I wish I had some now!
You smell wonderful! I need to dab on a bit of my treasured supply soon!
I’m in Prada Un Chant d’ Amour again which I might buy if I had an unexpected windfall, otherwise the prices for their Olfactories line is a bit steep imho.
Another sunny crisp day here. Feels kind of like fall. I actually do have to work on our taxes today. Ugh. I procrastinate every year. Usually we get money back. I hope that is true this year as well, I’ve done some retail therapy this week and have orders from glossier, sephora and boden on the way.?
How is boden? I’ve seen the catalogs and everything looks so cute.
They are very cute but somehow, the fit was just never right for me. There used to be boutique in Lake Oswego, OR but I think it closed down.
Oh my gosh, boden is so cute! (And mini boden even cuter but my girls are beyond that) I am a big fan of their bretons and classic cotton shirt in fun patterns. I ordered this sweater that I’ve had my eye on all winter
https://www.bodenusa.com/en-us/margot-cashmere-sweater-ivory-floral-heart/sty-k0491-crm?tc_ch=affs&tc_ve=ppj&code=F2L9&tc_so=58012&tc_me=cr&tc_ca=na&tc_au=na&tc_cr=1-9525&tc_campid=na&tc_adgroupid=na&tc_kwid=na&tc_matchid=na&clickId=3935577842
It’s on sale, so I kind of had to, right?!
Saw your comment late yesterday. How is your husband liking Madison? Too bad it’s so chilly, but at least the sun is out!?
Gorgeous sweater! Of course you had to 🙂
What a great purchase! Love the sweater.
My husband loved Madison. Had a blast and just loves the town. I will go with him next year, and we will undoubtedly visit in the fall, if not before.
Wow, that is a terrific sweater! Congratulations! I somehow saw a link last year for one of their sweaters. It was navy blue and had a big “MEOW” written across it in bright letters. That was one I had to buy! Now I get their catalogs. Nice things but I haven’t bought more.
Adorable sweater!
Imo, Boden does not work for short waisted or curvy folks. Super duper cute though, with great colors and patterns.
I love Boden! I only buy from them when stuff is on sale since they’re a bit pricey, but I’ve had good luck with their shirts and knit tops especially. I have a raincoat from them too that I love, and a super cute thin wool coat that isn’t warm enough to be a winter coat so I can only wear it in the fall. And now it’s a bit tight on me (wah), but I’m not giving up on it!
I’ve been retail-therapy-ing myself this week. I convinced myself that it was time to begin the hunt for the perfect dress to wear to my niece’s wedding this fall. Of course 2 out of 4 of my Nordstrom packages have since gone into the OnTrac black hole. Shipped from Nordstrom on Sunday, yet OnTrac claims they haven’t received them. Probably on a loading dock somewhere, getting jumped on by gorillas (I don’t know how OnTrac manages to thrash every package they touch, but they sure do.) Yes, hajusuuri, I have already complained to Nordstrom 😉
I’ve found that I often see the tracking saying they don’t have it, and then it shows up. Hope that’s what’s going on with you.
You know me so well except I don’t really track packages that closely (but should) until it says I am getting it that day or the next day and they don’t show up.
I have done some retail therapy this week too…needed new jeans. Paid too much, it’s kind of crazy what you can spend on jeans these days!
Same here on the pricey jeans this week. AG’s come out with some Prima styles that are mid to low rise, thank heavens. Sure I’ve banged on before of my loathing for high rise jeans/pants.
I will have to go look at those. I don’t like high rise and I don’t like skinny. Wore AG for years, then switched to J Brand, then they went out of business.
I just bought some Mother Denim mid rise, but did notice that you have to read the specs for the actual rise in inches, since some of their “mid” and “high” are really the same.
You go, girl; that retail therapy can always be carefully packed up and returned if a no-go. I give kudos to Zappos; I did a little summer shopping, and for what did not work out, I got credit back as soon as it logged in at the UPS store.
All of the spending I did this week was either for Easter dinner or for the cats. Something seems amiss… ?
In Montale Full Incense for Good Friday.
I had planned to take the day off today, but next week I will be very busy taking my mother to doctors appointments and tests and I wanted to finish some graphics today for one of our projects. It is very quiet in the office with very few people around. Same with public transportation today. I got off the train two stations before my regular stop. The day is gorgeous here and I decided to briefly enjoy the sun, the breeze, the nice cool morning temperature and the almost emptied streets. I hope we get an early dismissal.
Having my third cup of coffee and thinking what I should get my two year old nieces for Easter.
Happy and healthy Friday, everyone! ?
You smell wonderful!
Thank you! ?
Fingers crossed for early dismissal!
No early dismissal this year. We are too busy here!
An incense scent sounds lovely right now. I always wanted a bottle of Exultat but never got around to it. I think there were some 15 ml bottles made too…which idk if still in production. It was the first incense I liked.
I bought travel sprays of the MCG line, including Exultat, when Henri Bendel was going out of business.
Exultat was in my shopping list for a long time. I regret not getting a travel size when it was still available. I loved it!
Good choice re: your walk! Happy Easter, PL67!
Thank you, MossyBerry! Happy Easter to you too! ???
Happy Easter weekend!???
Same to you, Lillyjo! ????
Perfect perfume pick for Good Friday!
Enjoy your Easter weekend! Maybe some Peeps (not Coffee ones!) for your nieces?
Thank you, Jalapeno. I got a couple of Peeps plushes for my nieces. I will introduce them to the real ones later. I need to have company when eating them! ?
not participating in the cp
in Fragrance du bois 5th Avenue
Hope it is a good day ltsg.
I smell like NYC , though I smell Santal 33 everywhere
Does Santal 33 smell like dill pickles to you? It does to me. The scent of pickles all over NY makes me think of the movie “Crossing Delancey” ?
I can’t wear Santal 33 because I just reek of dill pickle! I’ve wondered if it smells like pickle to others, or just to me.
SOTD is Aftelier Oud Luban, which I’ve been pondering for eons. Perhaps the pondering will reach its end soon? Who knows why I jump on blind buys yet sometimes ponder forever about scents I know I like.
Yesterday I got an order from Luckyscent (Akro Haze, if you must know) and was grumbly that my free samples didn’t include a single thing I asked for. Grumble grumble.
More rain coming tonight/tomorrow, and even more next week. yay!
Maybe the blind buys feel like too good a deal to pass up? That had been my downfall, but now I try to tell myself that the $50 or whatever will be earmarked for a pricier, but known quantity.
My method is to ponder so long they stop making whatever it is…have a LONG list of those!
This pondering/pouncing dilemma could be a theme for a CP, maybe? I can really relate!
It is all very possible that I used tax-refund $ to buy the pricey Guerlain Vetiver Pour Elle. It’s such a pretty, crowd-pleaser of a scent it’s a pity it seems to play hide&seek for would-be buyers.
🙂
Enjoy your new bottle!
Hey All
Our easter weekend has started and Jin & I are going on with some renos.
Took an afternoon out for lunch with the crew at our fave seaside fish & chips. Then we saw the new Michelle Yeoh movie: Everything, Everywhere, All At Once. WOW! What a film, had us laughing, crying, questioning and on the edges of our seats. Definitely needs to be seen in cinemas.
Perfume? Eau des Merveilles by Hermès. It doesn’t fit with the theme but I have enjoyed it immensely.
Have a good weekend all.
Portia x
Love Eau de Merveilles. All sparkling, salty goodness. It truly is one of the few scents I know that seems sparkling, like champagne.
Oh yes! Good analogy LizzieB, very champagne like.
EdM is one of my top 5 fragrances and I too enjoy it immensely; it doesn’t need a theme. You smell wonderful!
YAY! We both love it.
Happy snap.
Thanks.
Have a fun weekend.
Good report, Portia; and yes, I recently re-connected with the fact that some movies *need* to be seen in a movie theatre. “Belfast,” for one…
OOOOH! Belfast! Thanks MossyBerry
Your seaside lunch sounds wonderful!
It was perfect thanks Jalapeño.
Are you lunching somewhere nice over the weekend?
Not this weekend. But I did have a restaurant outing with some friends in the recent past. We finally exchanged Xmas gifts for 2021!
Not quite time to go “down the Shore” for me yet.
Wearing one of my windfall perfumes today. That is L’Heure de Nuit and I am happy I nabbed a bottle when I did since it is discontinued. Guerlain never seems to keep flankers around for very long.
I am sorry to her that this beautiful scent is discontinued. I bought a bottle last year after admiring it for a few years. I am glad I did, after hearing this news.
Golly. Not sure I’m CP compliant, but am in Civet from a travel spray I purchased with four others from Zoologist.
How are you liking it? And what about the other four? Always curious.
So I gave away one of them because it didn’t work for me–Nightingale. The others do! Bee, Camel, and Musk Deer, and of course Civet. Civet was the first Zoologist I fell for. I kept purchasing decants. Now I’ve worked my way up to a travel spray!
You smell wonderful! Love the Zoologist travel sprays, which others did you get?
Why thank you! I answered above about the others.
All in for the CP with Perles de Lalique, a nicely peppery rose scent that is cheap as chips.
This cheapie has been on my blind-buy list for sooo long! One day I will cave.
If you like peppery roses, do it! When Fragrancenet is doing a 30% off sale (which occurs quite frequently), you can get a 3.3 oz bottle for about $30, which is bargain-basement territory these days. It’s got a very fresh vibe — I think it’s the high-pitched pepper notes that keep it airy. There’s also a lot of wood, to my nose, sort of like a CdG perfume. I don’t get a lot of patchouli, although it’s listed in the notes.
Happy Good Friday to everyone:). In Bois daz eel. Such a lovely, warm fragrance. Watched Jesus of Nazareth this week. It’s a mini series from 1977. It is also a British film, so several have British accents. I have always liked this film, it was really well done imo. Robert Powell did good acting.
For Easter, I really enjoy wearing Omnia Coral for whatever reason. It smells of spring and has a pomegranate note which I enjoy. I really enjoy several of Alberto Morillas scents. He seems to have such a charming personality as well:).
You smell good! I love Omnia Coral a lot but it’s a summer scent for me. I have a lot of coral-colored clothes in my summer wardrobe and this happy scent just seems like a perfect match!
Omnia Coral does have some really well done fruit notes in it.
CP compliant in Queen, the only good thing, perfume wise, that I’ve ever found in TJMAxx. It’s warm and sweet and pairs exceedingly well with the sunny, cool, breezy day. Very cheap and worth every penny.
I’m in freshly purpled hair, a red plaid flannel, jeans, and black patent oil slick Danskos walking a red speckled dog wearing an orange floral collar. We’re very colorful! ?
I read this as “wearing a red speckled dog walking an orange floral collar” and I didn’t think much of it because Deva and then I said, No, even for her this is strange.
LOL! Yep!
I did the same thing when I first read that sentence. Something’s in the air?
Oh, well, that’s my terrible grammar and sentence structure, combined with typos. I’m inventing my own language! ?
Great outfit and I envy your Danskos! I love the oil slicks and tried to wear them but Dansko just doesn’t fit my feet.
I can see that. I think they either work great for you or not at all. Also, indestructible. They’ll still be walking around long after I’m gone?
A red speckled dog is the sine qua non of any dog-lover’s best look. (I’m gushing just because I love T-Rex’s looks so much). And, *clinks bottles* with a Queen lover. My first bottle was a TJX cheapie too, but I have since got others at, errrr, various prices because I neeeed its fabulousness!
Various prices indeed! Just did a google search and wowza! It’s no longer $15.00 for a 3.4oz bottle! ?
You’re smart to stock up.
JM Blackberry & Bay
Rather than go with the official CP, I am in 24, Faubourg to celebrate the Universal Day of Culture, as this fragrance definitely falls into the category of “treasure of culture”. Our weather continues to be classically “Oregon Spring” by featuring just about every kind of weather there IS, from bright sunshine to heavy snow, all in one hour sometimes!
House twins, wearing Caleche today. And weather twins too, PNW here and absolutely agree on the Classic PNW Spring calamity.
You smell divine, nebbe! My travel spray of Caleche has been empty for a year or two — someday I’ll find more.
wearing PdG Cadjmere for a chilly start to the day.
This weekend is bittersweet, tomorrow my beloved dad is gone 15 years. I can see, hear and smell his Aramis as if he were right next to me. He was an excellent give of hugs.
I’m glad you have his scent in your heart <3
I do indeed Koyel.
It’s not even close to the same but sending a hug to you.
Sending ???. How wonderful that he is with you still, just in a different form.
Sending hugs and peace, Apsara!
I hope you will continue to be blessed by those memories of perfumed hugs from your dear Father.
Hugs apsara.
thank you all for the hugs.
Robin you are wearing my fragrance!! I’m down to one last row. I remember when the bottle was discounted as low as $35 for 100 oz. Now the older Berdouses much harder to get.
Any refund goes to vet bills for my three feline grandkids which my human kids adopted but are somehow living with Mr Marzipan and I ????
Testing Patchouli Oud Vanilla which I really really like.
I’ve been wearing MM Replica By The Fireplace all week due to the snow and unseasonably cold temperatures here.Figured I would enjoy it before hot weather returns.
My week has involved dealing with my fear of medical procedures/needles and having outpatient skin cancer surgery. So glad that is over for now.I feel like such a wimp but I don’t know anyone who looks forward to something like that!
Oh boy! Heal well andshewaz.
The best of health wishes to you!
Skin cancer is no fun…I can relate…better to have the procedures done and catch it early
Wishing you a full and speedy healing, and I fully understand your fears.
Sending you my best wishes for a speedy recovery. Hugs!
You aren’t a wimp, andshewaz. Medical procedures aren’t a fun thing. Hope that you heal easily and uneventfully.
First there was zero and now you have 3! If you don’t stop sprouting them, I may just have to rename you as THE Crazy Cat Ladeeee.
Wait til you see the May post on Undinas….and yes, feel free to call me crazy cat lady…
No, that title belongs to MOI!
Haha!! True!! But then again, who knows how many more the kids will adopt and leave with us
You should change your picture to the kitties so we can see them!
????…. don’t think I can without changing my name…I undid everything….
You now have 3 furry grandkitties? Wow! I remember when you had only the first one.
They multiple like rabbits
A VERY belated hey twin!! (Disappeared on long bike ride yesterday and have spent most of today on chores.)
I like that $88 for 100mL has become perfumath free nowadays 🙂 (and by “like,” I mean I am sad 🙁 )
I’m in Zoologist Macaque today, and therefore absolutely not fitting the CP. All I get from this is a face-full of GREEN. Into the giveaway bag this sample goes. I might follow it up later with Chergui, which I love but which also doesn’t fit the CP because I already have a bottle of it. Ah well.
And I forgot to say, shubho noboborsho! Happy Indian New Year!
And to you as well! Is it always on April 15 or does it use a special calendar?
It follows the solar calendar 🙂 so it’s always April 15! (It’s the first day of the month Boishakh. We have twelve months and six seasons.)
Happy Indian New Year to you, Koyel!
Thank you, Jalapeno 🙂
I don’t like that one either, nor the green of Cow, but I do like what’s possibly the greenest of the line–Elephant. Haven’t bought a bottle yet but am working through my 2nd or 3rd sample of it.
I haven’t smelled Cow or Elephant, but how interesting! I like the idea of smelling like a cow, assuming it…um…overlooks the manure smell?
I am wearing cheap thrills Lolita Lempicka. This is such good stuff, and under $40 at the discounters. I have the apple-shaped bottle with the stem as the sprayer.
You smell wonderful!
That is one of the best looking perfume bottles!
No one will be surprised to hear that my CP scent for today is Raw Gold from Thomas de Monaco, the patchouli scent I’ve been lemming all week. A big splurge at $300 for a small bottle. I put on a lot today to try to make up my mind for good, forgetting that my physical therapist is due later this afternoon. I hope she forgives me.
Happy Passover and Happy Easter to all who celebrate.
PS Thanks to everyone who gave me tips yesterday about ways to deodorize my Apple watchband from the stinky perfume. I’m trying the baking soda and water paste right now. Alas, I don’t seem to have any white vinegar on hand–about four or five other kinds, but I don’t think balsamic is the right thing here!
LOL, Calypso – nah, balsamic would not be the thing!! 😀
Wearing Slow Dive today, from a sample. I do have a 2nd sample in the wings; this is so good and is on my fb list, for sure!
I’m preparing an ever-growing sample box for my niece today. I have to add samples and decants from my own bottles this afternoon since I asked her about her favorite notes; I will also throw in a few surprises!
Does your niece love iris or she prefers other notes?
She’s a bit of a newbie so she didn’t mention iris, even tho I listed it as a possibilty. I may send her some Hiris or Orris Tattoo. She did mention jasmine, vanilla and chypres.
Her mom (my sister) loves iris so the apple shouldn’t fall to far from the tree!
I am sure she will enjoy the perfume journey! And hope she joins the iris club!
I think she will. I snuck in a sample of Orris Tattoo (as a wildcard)!
How sweet! I hope your niece loves some of the scents you give her 🙂
Thank you, Koyel. I hope so too! I actually made a spreadsheet of them (yup, I’m a nerd!) There’s that many!
That’s the thing about sample boxes: they tend to grow like weeds! I hope that your niece finds a lot of things she enjoys in there.
Isn’t it. I started out in a Chanel box, but I might have to upsize to a shoebox!
???
Wearing Silver Factory because I can’t stay away from it ? Have a great weekend, all.
You too ringthing!
I have a hair appointment this morning, I’m trying to decide if I want to wear something restful, or something that can fight back against the smell of hair chemicals. I might go restful with CdG’s Ouarzazate.
The smell of hair chemicals is nostalgic and evocative for me as my mother did home perms for decades. I also love the aldehyde or hairspray smell for the same reason.
I have no fragrance lemmings at the moment so opted for a ‘cheap thrill’ for today’s cp: American Beauty Beloved Moments, white lily and dewy greens, by Ashley Judd and sold at Kohl’s about a decade ago. A surprise purchase for me since I dislike most white florals but perhaps because I associate lilies with Easter this appealed to me? It has become my traditional Easter fragrance, the only time I wear it but I really enjoy it then. It’s fresh and flowery and fits the day.
Looking forward to hosting Easter lunch for my son and family, haven’t done that since 2019 due to the pandemic. Keeping it a fairly simple meal with foods from my Polish heritage.
Happy Easter and Passover to all who celebrate. Sending peace, hope and love wishes to all with music to calm your mind and soothe your soul this holiday from my favorite cellist. This is from his newest album, The Alchemist, inspired by the book of the same name by Paulo Coelho. ☮️❤️
https://www.instagram.com/p/CcR5gOkgu4N/
Enjoy your family lunch on Easter!
Have a beautiful and peaceful Easter, Laila! ???
I’m wearing Smell Bent Sunshine: Mama’s spiced tea. This was a cheap thrill. I bought a full bottle last year at Smell Bent’s sale for $30. I like this a lot and my sister complimented me on it.
That’s a great deal!
Sotd is Frédéric Malle The Moon*
*Okay, that’s what I would be wearing if I had had a windfall since it retails for $750/100mL, but since I didn’t, I’m in a cheap thrill “impression” of The Moon by Oil Perfumery and it’s quite good.
I’ve got a few from Oil Perfumery; they are good! And a great way to see if you ever want to splurge on the real thing down the road (or) if it’s money saved!
Exactly!
I’m wearing my cheapest thrill
The Body Shop White Musk Smokey Rose. Years ago I found a 1oz on clearance for $3.99
I get mostly the smell of Spree candies and a little rose.
I had a customer hug me today after I found him pants to wear to father’s funeral tomorrow. A good reminder to me to count my blessings.
Thanks for sharing that story <3
Awwwwwwwwwwwww. What a sweet story. You’re a good egg, lillyjo.
What a touching story. Good you were there to help him! Happy Easter, Lillyjo! ?
What a wonderful story, lillyjo! You made his day, and you rock!
Happy Easter weekend NST! ???
A busy day of cleaning for me. First laundry, then a load of dishes. The cats also contributed to the things I needed to clean up (geez, thanks kitties). Absolutely gorgeous weather today, as if Mother Nature is apologizing for yesterday’s thunderstorms.
SOTD = Agent Provocateur EdP, and the ??? (cheep) option. It’s getting along rather well with the far drydown of the Opium Orchidee that is on my sweatshirt.
Happy Easter to you! Cleaning and gorgeous weather twins, but we will get some rain (storms??) this evening.
Thank you MossyBerry!
The storms are not going to be here until tomorrow night, so I have a little longer to enjoy the nice weather.
Happy Easter weekend to you and yours, Jalapeno! ???
Thanks perfumelover67!
‘The cats also contributed to the things I needed to clean up (geez, thanks kitties).’
Do I ever know how that one goes!?.
Happy Easter ?!
Spoken like someone who is pwned by their dearly loved cats!
Happy Easter to you!
Dearly loved ???
Glad you have some nice weather today! Too bad kitties don’t have opposable thumbs, then we could maybe train them to help.
You smell great! (I included a sample of AP for my niece in her sample box).
If cats ever had opposable thumbs, they’d cause even more havoc! ?
They would rule the world! I call mine my feline overlord ?
Could you send some of your gorgeous weather this way please? It’s been cold and rainy, and yesterday we had 50-60mph winds!
I will try!
SotD Mystere de Rochas. I think some choc-full-o-moss rose chypres would be my big splurge. Would I shore up my remnant of L’Arte di Gucci? Maybe a back up of Jacamo Parfum Rare, or Mystere? There are a number of ways to spend a tax refund when it comes to moss-laden beauties. Down, lemmings, down!
L’Arte di Gucci would definitely be both a splurge and a unicorn!
It is so beautiful!
SOTD = Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche
I may have mentioned that I was looking for the EDT version of this when I first heard of it, but none were to be found. I ended up getting the EDP and it was fabulous!
https://www.instagram.com/p/CcYuWuiuAmI/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
I also neglected to introduce my latest body spray (#7): Salty
https://www.instagram.com/p/CcY1-l_OtUg/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
Hoping to finish my taxes by tomorrow morning but if I don’t, I have Monday off as well so can mail it then too. I know I allocated my work based on location in 2020 and I have to figure out the same thing for 2021.
Ooof, good luck with the taxes! I have a lurking suspicion that we will be filing at the last possible moment…
Hey all! I wore one of my favorite cheap thrills, Coriandre by Jean Couturier. Love this one.
I still haven’t done my taxes, cause I like to live dangerously! But mine are pretty simple, and I have it worked out so that the amount withheld ends up being very close to what I owe, either way, so sometimes I owe a tiny bit and sometimes I get back a tiny bit.
Work was so boring today, and outside it was cold and rainy. I started reading Elif Batuman’s The Idiot, and am highly enjoying it it. It’s taking me back to my own college days in the mid-90s!
Now I have to look up this book! Are you reading from a physical book?
I checked it out as an ebook from the library (Overdrive/Libby). That way I can read it on my computer at work, heh heh! The author has a follow-up book coming out soon called Either/Or.
Happy late Friday everyone!
My move this past week almost drained me completely. I’m still in the thick of unpacking, with no end in sight. But really glad to have the actual move behind me. All fragrance bottles were safely transported, and I even found some long lost one! A very old bottle of Safari from my college days and my misplaced bottle of Bois Farine. I found many old boxes containing old memories… it has been a bit mentally draining, going through old things.
I have a great scent for the CP today. It started as a cheap thrill, a tear-drop style Shiseido Feminite du Bois, the best thing I have ever bought at TJ Maxx, so many years ago. And now it’s turned into a windfall scent, I would splurge for vintage bottle if money were no object.
How cool, that the same bottle of perfume you have covers both choices of today’s CP!
How fun! You’re done with a big milestone!
I was going to go with a bargain beauty but my hand thought otherwise and fell upon a vintage bottle of Guerlain’s Parure. It is so beautiful! Very classic, old-school fragrance — just lovely. If I had an unexpected windfall, I’d buy a whopping big bottle. Especially because the Parure crystal bottle may be the most beautiful perfume bottle I’ve ever seen.
I missed out on all the fun yesterday it seems! You all smelled fabulous!!
SOTD was Rose Iriseè from Au Pays de fleur de la orange(or something like that)…Wildly expensive when I bought it probably 10 years ago,FIRST time wearing it today.Ooffff…spectacular orris note, gorgeous rose note, the drydown is a soft feminine vanilla/amber/powder that somewhat reminds me of Love’s Baby Soft.Good stuff.Hoarding the rest!
Happy Easter weekend!
XO’s
No hoarding ?
