Regime des Fleurs Himitsu ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 21 February 2022 9 Comments

Niche line Régime des Fleurs has launched Himitsu, a new fragrance for men.

The starched angles of a Kyoto university student’s suit seen through a mauve filter. Rice powder on an elegant face. A delicate collision of artifice and nature.

The notes include violets, saffron, heliotrope, muguet, tolu balsam and suede.

Régime des Fleurs Himitsu is $225 for 75 ml Eau de Parfum.

Interesting. A pretty violet powder scent for men. Not that men can’t wear powder of course! Oh and himitsu means secret ;)

It is remarkable these days that they release a fragrance declared for men after their latest Al-Dukhan from 2021, which also carries the male label. I would LOVE to try these! More retailers, please!

They use a pour homme hashtag on FB, but there doesn’t seem to be any huge/obvious gender division on their web shop?

While I’ve only tried one Régime des Fleurs, it definitely seems to fall into the pretty-if-fleeting school of perfume.

Was that Little Flower, or whatever it’s called?

It was probably Willows. Nice enough to have as a decant, but probably wouldn’t have stumped up for a whole bottle.

They are releasing the #homme series fast and furious. I tried River Rock Melody when it came out last year, but haven’t caught up on the rest. I’d better order a sample set soon or my RdF fanatic status will be in peril.
