Rabbit rabbit rabbit! Welcome to February, and welcome to the Year of the Tiger. Plus, happy National Freedom Day. Birthdays: Clark Gable, Langston Hughes, Muriel Spark, Rick James. What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm in Honoré des Prés I Love Les Carottes, to feed the rabbits.
Reminder: on 2/4, to welcome the Year of Tiger, wear a fragrance that projects or inspires power, bravery, self-confidence and ambition.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2022, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
Note: The Winnie The Pooh teapot was made by Churchill but appears to be out of production. (It is also not very Year-of-the-Tiger-ish, but it is no easy thing to find a teapot with a tiger and a rabbit.)
Rabbit rabbit rabbit!!
Noix de Tuberose for me today until I shower after work and wear something else:)
Hope it is a good February for you!
And hope it is for You!!
Hi!
I have been trying to email you and can’t seem to get through.
I am very grateful. Just don’t know what I am doing wrong.
Hi!! And I have been wondering why I don’t see an email from You yet. Here it is:
majokkobiachan@gmail.com
I looked this one up and it sounds like one I would like. I love tuberose. Not sure if that is the main player, but if it is I would be all for it. My guess is that you smell divine.
You know does it have tuberose? Oh yes BUT it is it’s own perfume though meaning I don’t really think: “oh I smell like tuberose” when I put it on. But honestly it smells sooo gooood just really goooood. Almondy and soft. Opulent just enough to make it differ from anything else. You know when You put on a perfume and You enjoy sniffing Your wafts? Every time it wafts You breathe in this beautiful fragrant lovely dream? That’s Noix de Tuberose.
Sounds delightful!
Wearing it today too.
Lovely!
Happy Lunar Year everyone.
Tea is 2 double espressos!
For todays CP I am in Royal Elixir by Ormonde Jayne
Notes from the website:
“I envisaged a perfume so dreamy and tenacious, not heavy but complex,
Ambre Royal did not disappoint, becoming a much loved world-wide best seller, the Elixir release is left untouched but at extract strength, creating a
ravishing perfume, purring and rich and even more hypnotic.”
Purring like a Tiger today in Ormonde Jayne!
Nice!
Thank you!!
Happy Chinese New Year ?
??❣️
Happy Lunar New Year, Lovestosmellgood! ??
Rabbbbbbbitttttt!
January went *so* quickly. It’s true: the older you get, the faster time goes.
I’m in hot ‘n spicy CDG Carnation, which not only projects power (does it ever) but comes in a flaming red bottle to advertise just how potent it is.
True.? Wish it would slow down.
I don’t know, I am OLD and January went on forever. Now the spring and summer, they FLY by.
This, I felt like January took forever this year.
???!!
SOTD!
Chanel No.19 edp, fortification for a superbusy day in the OR,which I indeed survived!
My anticipated move is in limbo, there’s not been much interest in my rental apartment that is for sale(levies are superhigh cause location location location and the golf course on the estate),my lease is ending the end of March, and I am ready to move on.I will be looking at another place on the estate next week Monday, for a possible move then when lease ends, but I’m sure current landlord would want me to stay on.Not sure what to do….
Anyways!
Happy Tuesday!
XO’s
Urgh…this was supposed to be a new post, but here we are…Lol!
??♂️✌??
You, of course, smell fabulous! Glad you survived the day. Could you go on a month to month with an agreement that says you will both give 3 months’ notice if he decides to sell or you decide to move?
Do you mean 3 weeks’ notice?I know there is a possibility of doing month-to-month,so it’s definitely worth investigating as an option.
And thanks!I know you’ll always approve No.19!?✌??
I meant 3 months. This gives you more flexibility for sure.
Hope your move is smooooth! ?
Haha!!
Thank you!
Sometimes I think “should I do what Deva does, get an RV and just travel the country?”If it was a viable option in South Africa I would have LOVED to do what you do!
XO’s
I love that Deva “gathers no moss,” but my homebody self is hoping you will find a perfect spot! (Actually for Deva too :D) Then, you will stay there for many years! I grew up moving and moving…not for me! You smell wonderful and I bet at least one of your patients noticed that No. 19 and felt better for it!
I got my Arielle Shoshana perfumes! The packaging is so cute. I put Saturday on my left hand and Friday on my right last evening. I can still smell them! I loved Friday but I’m always a sucker for citrus perfumes. REALLY nice leading bergamot note! Haven’t tried Sunday yet. Nice uplift and it will be convenient and fun to take these little vials along with me to my friend’s where I’ll be staying after surgery.
But meanwhile I forgot to rabbit, shucks. I was dreaming cozily and a bit strangely about going back to my home town and starting to date my grade school boyfriend, or rather, crush. Wow! He asked me on a date to go out to Walmart. Ha ha! There’s my opinion of what life is like in a small town! Nevertheless, he was still cute and I enjoyed kissing him. No wonder I forgot about rabbiting!
Your dreams sounds delightful! Forget about the rabbits! I hope the warm fuzzy feelings from your dream last all day…
Haha, I love your dream! Those samples came fast, didn’t they?!
Oooh, looking forward to getting mine and trying Friday! I have Saturday and Sunday, so planning to give my sister the samples as a thank you for being my US shipping depot.
I rabbited twice — you can have some of my rabbits!
Thank you! I bet you’ll enjoy Friday.
Phooey! The sprayer for my sample of Sunday just will NOT work! And I can’t manage to pull it off the bottle!
Oh, no! You should contact Arielle! I can’t believe she would not “make good.”
You can take one of my rabbit sets. I have 4 and I am keeping one for myself…2 more to give away!
I’ll take one! As usual, I forgot…??
Eeek. I gave them all away already. I’ll share my personal set with you!
So good to have great friends, especially at a time like this. I enjoyed your dream and wish mine were as sweet! Best of luck on your surgery. I hope everything goes without a hitch and your recovery is quick and minimally painful.
Best of luck with your surgery, Calypso! Hope you are recovered quickly and easily.
Haha!
Love the dream!
Sending good vibes for your upcoming surgery, and I hope you get the best nurses and get back on your feet faster than Fall approaching down here in Africa.
Many XO’S!!
???
Yay for your dream and thanks for reporting in on Friday!
Thanks for the info about AS Friday!
Your dream was adorable, and yay for getting to dream something fun! Warming up the good vibes for your surgery — we’ll all be thinking of you!
I’m in one of my favorites, Cartier L’Envol edp. I thunked another decant, the first of this fragrance I bought. I loved it enough to get a mini, and it is definitely fbw.
I like Pantere by Cartier. I haven’t smelled the one you are wearing
Well done, fellow decant empty-er!
L’Envol is Good Stuff!
I remembered my rabbits a few minutes before my alarm went off this morning. Hope it works, I could use some good luck this month!
I’m in Vanille Insensee.
My Tuesday and Thursday commute take me past a nature conservancy and there are often wild turkeys by the side of the road. Today one darted across the road in front of the car in front of me. It was close! And they are big!
My samples of Friday, Saturday and Sunday arrived yesterday. That was super fast shipping! Accompanied by a hand written note from Arielle, which I think is a lovely touch. I was going to spray Sunday on the back of my hand and the sample slipped right out of my hand and shattered on the floor.☹️ That’s never happened to me before. I had some lovely smelling hard wood floors.
On a happier note, I got a text from my college daughter last night and she got the summer camp job she wanted!? This is her third year working at camp (did 7 as a camper) and she has been working her way up the ladder. This year her position will be part of the “admin” staff but she will still get to spend a ton of time outside and with the campers. Plus she will be there at the same time as madtownteen when she goes to camp. It does mean she will be gone from Memorial Day to the end of august, so I will miss her. My parents live just a few miles from camp, so she will get to spend her off days with them doing laundry and eating home cooked meals. They will love it.☺️
Oh, congrats to madtowncollegegirl!! That’s wonderful.
But so sorry about your sample of Sunday, that’s a shame.
Congrats to your daughter! Sounds like a great summer.
What a wonderful setup for a summer job!
Lucky grandparents! Sunday seems to have a kind of doom about it, judging from our experiences!
!
Happiness = happy, thriving kids!
I had the “dropsies” earlier today. I was quite surprised that I didn’t break or damage anything.
Honore des Pres I Love Les Carottes is so beautiful…sadly not in Denmark anymore 🙁
Happy February 1st
Rabbit Rabbit xx
I don’t think you can buy it in the US anymore either, although I have not checked.
Beautyhabit has the Honore des Pres line, including les carottes
Thank you for the correction!!
Beautyhabit carries the line, but Les Carottes has been out of stock forever. It is not found anywhere.
Aha.
Happy February! I remembered my rabbits when I woke up at 5am, after at most six hours of sleep. Why, body, why?? But I’m smelling like nice habitat for rabbits in my just-arrived Fox in the Flowerbed body oil. No regrets on this little blind buy — it’s a light and lovely blend of (clean) jasmine and cut grass, reminiscent of La Chasse Aux Papillons and Demeter Wet Garden. I don’t smell the purported frankincense in it anywhere, but it smells like a lush springtime meadow, which was exactly what I was hoping for. The body oil isn’t particularly strongly scented, either, which I like. I think it would layer beautifully with Hiris.
They’ve taken the rain out of the forecast and given us drying offshore winds, instead. Out at my preserve yesterday, I found blooming houndstongue and shooting stars, washes of milk maids (pink ones, for some reason), and the first buttercup of the year. Springtime is all ahead of itself in this confusing, deluge-then-drought winter.
What wonderful flower names those all are!
So much friendlier than the names of the invasive species I deal with: spurge, bearded creeper, ripgut, barbed goat grass, medusahead…
Glad to know you like the Fox in the Flowerbed body oil, mine’s on the way.
I suspect it’ll be a hit!
Received my Fox in the Flowerbed yesterday and I think it will be a great addition to my Spring perfumes.
Oooof. Hope that you get more rain sometime soon. I bet that things are still parched out there.
Yes, I’m starting to see the stress and stunting and yellowing in the plants that germinated during the Big Rains, and cracks in the clay soil — it’s pretty weird for early February.
Was in Oeillet Bengale yesterday and thinking I’ll repeat today. I love the spiciness.
?? w’re having a heat wave…a tropical heat wave?? Temps are above freezing today! Pull out the shorts, people! But, we are still waiting for sunset to hit 5 pm. Just a few more days…so close.
My inner cheapskate appeared yesterday. I had bought a down vest on sale online the other day. Got an email yesterday with a new code lowering the sale price. Went on the customer service chat line and asked if I could get a price adjustment. No problem…of course! Whatever shall I do with that extra $4.75?
That’s not being a cheapskate, it’s being an informed and empowered buyer.
That’s not being cheap, that’s being smart!
I know so many people who would have called to get that extra discount. That’s being a savvy buyer.
Forgot my rabbits. All discombobbled today; husband was out late last night working a fire in the canyon below us, and today it’s Day 2 of contractors ripping out our leaky windows. We had taped-on plastic for windows last night, and will have more tonight. Last night the tape held (yay!); tonight thru Thursday morning we have a high wind event though (great timing) so I suspect tonight will be a nervous night for sleeping. Kitty is back in jail (the laundry room) and howling. Gotta turn the heat off soon when the contractor opens up the side of the house again. SOTD is Aedes Cierge de Lune for soft warm comfort.
Oh wow — much as I complained about our reno (which still drags on), at least the outer walls and windows stayed intact! Good luck, and wishing you lots of soft warm comfort. 🙂
Years ago, we lived here thru a massive year-long remodel/addition that featured plastic walls for months, which was miserable, so I shouldn’t complain about a week of this – but I will, anyway 🙂 It’s like 45 degrees F in the living room now.
My we are both on NST early this AM. Needing our fume-therapy!
Contractors start at 7am. YOW.
Yikes. Feeling fortunate that ours don’t get here till around 8:30. Wouldn’t do them much good to be here any earlier because they’re relying largely on sunlight to work by, and we don’t have any of that at 7 a.m. ☀️
Yeah it’s barely sunrise here at 7am… yet here they are. And they leave around 2pm. I’ve no idea why they don’t just shift the whole schedule out an hour or two.
When we had our house painted, it was like that as well. And with all the noise ordinances and what not, the men tip-toed about outside for the first hour, delicately mounting the scaffolding UNTIL 8 AM.
You can have one of my rabbit sets! I have one more left to give away!
I hope everything goes well! You deserve all the soft comfort you can get!
Fingers crossed that your window replacement gets done quickly and without interference from Mother Nature.
Oh, *way* too much chaos and upheaval! I hope you found some coziness in the day, and that things settle down soon.
Rabbit rabbit rabbit and Happy Lunar New Year! ?????? Animal galore!
Sotd is also I Love Les Carottes. Hi twin, Robin!
I suddenly had this fear that it’s discontinued so I went to their site to check… thank goodness it’s still available ? Everytime I wear this I am reminded how cute this fragrance is. Should definitely wear it more often.
Hey twin!! I mean to wear it every 1st of the month but I usually forget.
In Rose Opera by Scent on Canvas.
Hello all!
I’m in Marfa Texas for a few nights, right before the big chill hits. Got my rabbits in right at 12:04am!
I’m in 90’s Egoiste. I only brought one perfume to associate it with our trip. I did stop into El Cosmico and purchase a bottle of Sweet Do Nothing by DS Durga though….
Enjoy your Tuesdays all!
Love Egoiste on my husband!
Oh, wonderful! This is one of Mr Dolce’s favourites, much to my delight. Hope you have a lovely holiday!
I remembered my rabbits right before bed, just after midnight. I’m going to need them to get through February.
I’m in Bogue Mem today for the idea of lavender and calm. I need it after yesterday, when the kid started coughing on the way out the door to school (so she turned around and came back in) and all hell broke loose with some deadlines at work. Much money later, we know she doesn’t have COVID, but she still can’t go to school with the cough. At least my spouse knows he’s safe to go into work, I guess. (Can’t get free tests here any longer if you aren’t seriously ill or immunocompromised, so we used a travel test we happened to have.)
Happy lunar new year! Here’s hoping that the year of the tiger bodes well for the Bengals in a couple of weeks.
My son is coughing too, after taking a train back from DC yesterday. Keeping fingers crossed.
I said my rabbits before bed last night, which is good because I wouldn’t have remembered them this morning. getting blinded by the sun reflecting off the snow outside my window, but I can’t bring myself to close the shades.
My Dusita discovery set came with a free sample of Anamcara, which is what I’m wearing today. It’s a very pretty fruity floral. I get peach, orange, jasmine, a hint of tuberose, and some tea and vetiver in the background. I’m not getting BR540 in the dry down, as some people seem too. At most they are 2nd or 3rd cousins. This is fresher than BR540, which to me has a warmer, caramelized sugar note.
Tea today is Clippership Earl Gray Creme, London Fog style.
That tea sounds nice! And I forgot to report mine this morning, but it’s now late afternoon and I’m drinking mint tea.
Mimosa & Cardomom is keeping me cosy. I’m really enjoying my new slightly used bottle from eBay, it was such a good deal.
Boy am I glad to see the back of January, and light in the mornings when I leave for work!
Let’s hear it for those crucial extra minutes of winter light!
Yep!
Thirding this!
Forgot to rabbit, and hoping somebody has extras they can donate. I’m (allegedly) wearing CdG Sugi this morning, but it’s very faint. I can smell other things (thank goodness), like the cream cheese on my bagel, but not so much my wrists. I would blame paint fumes, but the cans haven’t been opened yet. Exciting, but I may hide out in my office most of the day.
You get my third and last set of rabbits!
Thank you! I feel much safer now. 😉
Hope that turns out to be a fluke!
Hope that the painting goes without a hitch!
It’s a flower day today, with OJ Tiare on one arm and Boutonniere on the other.
And who is the lucky winner?
Wearing no 5 edp today. Will be doing a larger grocery shop than I normally do in preparation for the upcoming storm. Hopefully I can get all I need after work tonight.
Good luck with the shopping!
I’m enjoying Naja today after many hours of rock solid sleep. Feeling much better today!
Happy Tuesday NST!
Jelly of your sleep. I haven’t slept that well in years. The joy of getting older.
It was pure exhaustion. Tonight I probably won’t sleep a wink…
Good sleep is a total game changer!
That Naja bottle is beautiful!
?✌??
Absolute truth — a good night’s sleep makes me feel like Wonder Woman.
I forgot to rabbit as per usual. Another cold day here. As others have commented, I can’t wait for spring. Only two months to go; Piece of cake.
SOTD is Shunkoin because I was craving it.
Piece of cake — wow, you are not as complainy as I am!
At this rate, Spring will be here before we know it…
Rabbit rabbit rabbit and happy lunar new year. Wearing Santal Massoïa.
Happy Year of the Tiger sugarvenom!
Sotd is SL Féminité du bois
Classic and fabulous!!
Rabbit, rabbit, rabbit! I need some luck this month! 😀
Wearing L’Artisan Drole de Rose. I am thinking about doing two weeks of rose perfumes for Valantine’s day. I may squeeze a chocolate scent here and there. Let’s see if I can stick to it!
What a great idea! You smell lovely! ??
Thank you, Petunia!?
You smell wonderful! Drole de Rose is beautiful.
Thank you, Allo!?
Great idea! I’ll join you in the second week.
Wonderful! It will be interesting to see what you will wear! ??
I will be very interested to hear about your rose perfume odyssey!
Nothing really new or exciting in my collection, but oldies that I truly enjoy!
My theme for the month of February has long been Chocolate & Roses. I have enough of each (and love both notes) to wear all month. Enjoy!
Thank you, Laila. I think it is going to be lots of fun!
I am embarking on a No Funk February!?? ringthing, hajusuuri and lillyjo are my not-so-official sponsors. 😉 Gotta move on! ?
Wearing Castelbajac Red Cherry which reminds me of Rose Jam.
And I rabbited.???
I must be rich to be a sponsor and in such esteemed company!
You can do it She-ra! ?
Happy to support No Funk February! January had enough funkiness to last till spring.
You go girl! I will support it too.
Thanks, She-ra, for the No Funk Challenge – go, Lady, go! In my world, February can be 20 days of cloudy, no-fun-snow-and-damp-cold. The other 8 days are meh! Yesterday, a kind Ebay seller gifted me a vintage mini *parfum* of Champs Elysees! That’s going to brighten my Winter for sure!
We can do it!
Yay for No Funk February, and yay for rabbit-ing! You’re off to a great start!
Ooo, I like No Funk February. More fun than Dry January and definitely better than than Movember (I’m not a mustache fan).
We’ve had a meteorologically Dry January and drinking has helped take the edge off the climate anxiety!
Can I climb aboard the No Funk February train? I mean, I just cried my way through a Johnny Flynn song while cooking dinner, but, starting tomorrow?
Wearing JM Wood Sage and Sea Salt body creme with Blackberry and Bay cologne.
Received Byredo Pulp with samples of Gypsy Water and Bal d’Afrique. I think they are both well made, but not sure as I would buy either one since they didn’t appear to have much staying power on me.
I also received my Imaginary Authors Fox in the Flowerbed with samples of Saint Julep and Whispered Myths. The samples were not my cup of tea, but they would be good for the right person.
Both Byredo and Imaginary Authors have great packaging!
Oh yay, both packages! Sorry none of the samples were winners but hope you are happy with your FBs.
Whoo hoo for perfume packages!
I layer Gypsy Water with the lotion, and it boosts the staying power. Another NSTer mentioned at one point that the hair mist is a good option too (especially at 1/3 the price of the perfume)
Thanks Vee.
I really did like Gypsy Water and thought maybe the lotion would give it a boost. May have to add this to my collection in the future.
I made a dress recently from some pale green vintage cotton fabric, and I’m wearing it fir the first time today. A classic type of fragrance seems appropriate, so I’ll wear Sortilège from Le Galion.
That sounds like a pretty dress!
2nd that! Where do you buy vintage fabric?
Oh that’s an elegant perfume! And congratulations on your beautiful new dress, what a wonderful talent to have.
Rabbit cubed! Remembered a little late, but telling myself it still counts. BBW Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte today. This is kind of addictive. Glad I got the full size.
I love that one. I used it this Fall, and I wish I would have gotten more than I did. Oh, well. Hopefully, BBW will bring it back next year.

Back in 1890 the local tea company created Tiger Tea ( a strong black tea) . You can still see adverts for the brand painted on old buildings around town but the great thing was that some of the local buses used to be painted in tiger stripes as well. Tiger tea was very popular and may still be around ( I need to check as I never bought it as it was so strong). Does anyone remember tea coupons? We used to collect them for school…you could cash them in for money.
Wearing all good things. Hot, wet and windy here, expecting 28C.
Oh nice, thanks for the link! If they’d just painted a rabbit on the advert I could have used it for the poll today 🙂
I have never even heard of tea coupons!
Maybe they were something like Blue Chip Stamps, or those S & H Green Stamps from way back in the day.
OMG! I haven’t heard someone mention those Green Stamps in ages! I vaguely remember my parents having books of them.
Green Stamps were popular years ago. I remember them well.
I’ve never heard of tea coupons but those are very nice teapots!
I only fully trust one local meteorologist because he never overhypes weather systems and helps you follow the science. However, even he has said we’re in for the biggest snow storm in 7 years the next couple of days and to take it seriously. We hit Aldi’s right after opening and they were already very busy, lots of Amish women shopping. Then PT and doing everything I can for my mom, I pray her power stays on. Sotd now that I’m home is a beautiful cloud of Coco edp and I’m hoping I can take a nap!
You smell fabulous, and I hope you stay safe and warm during the coming storm!
Thank you ?
Last night my meteorologist had me getting 3 inches of snow from the storm. Now I am 4-8! I know still a lot less than you are anticipating. Safe wishes for you and your mom!
Thank you lillyjo, safe wishes to you too!
Oh no, you stay safe too, lillyjo!
Stay safe and I hope your mom’s power stays on!
Thanks!
Hoping that you, your Mom, and lillyjo come thru this impending weather without any issues!
Perfectly themed for the Chinese New Year wearing Tiger’s Nest and wearing a red turtleneck with a tiger on it (one part of a lot of print).
Perfect, I think you win today!
As M.C. Hammer used to say: “Can’t touch this!”
Haha, love it.
Hajusuuri:
I do like your suggestion, and it will defo go on my list of options for the 3 months’ notice period!
I’ve had a very amicable relationship with both the owner and the estate agent,so I don’t want to end it on bad terms either.
I do need some longterm stability regarding where I live though, packing perfumes with my OCD tendencies is a SCHLEP to say the least!??✌??
Good luck!
SOTD: Angel’s Share and Lost Cherry
My girl is still with me. I finished the book on pet death and dying. It is comforting in one sense, but all of that information really hits home.
I won’t blather more today, just being grateful for resources out there.
I mean it when I say what a source of comfort you all have been. You lift me up and I thank you.
?
I’m so sorry.
Thinking of you, annieperfumes.
Sending you lot of hugs!
Hugs.
??
We are all thinking of you, and wishing we could ease your pain. Many hugs.
Thinking of you. Hugs.
Piling on more hugs — we’re holding you tenderly in our hearts!
???! Hey, rabbits, tell your stupid squirrel friends to stay away from my kitchen vent, and stop trying to break in! Bleeping squirrels.
I heard a strange noise from the kitchen, and went to check on it. Thought it was going to be birds. NOPE! I was face to furry face with a rather bold squirrel. So I did what any rational person would do: I cussed it out! I told Mr. Jalapeno about the attempted squirrel break in, and he tried it hit the offender with a few snowballs. He missed horribly.
Our neighbors must think we are completely bonkers.
In addition to squirrel hi-jinks, I’ve voted in a municipal election today, picked up my Rx, and made taco meatloaf for dinner. Been busy!
SOTD = back in Alien Le Gout… EdP.
I am sure you smell wonderful, and I know all too well about squirrel mischief. Not that I don’t admire our local red, lush, squirrels at some level, but I am thankful for our neighborhood hawk pair, Ethan and Uma, who keep them subdued.
Would be nice to have some raptors in my neighborhood to keep the varmints in line!
My neighborhood is bursting at the seams with predators — raptors, owls, foxes, great blue herons — and still the varmints reign supreme. Although, in my case they’re gophers. The squirrels are plentiful but entirely polite and keep to themselves.
Your squirrel made me LOL!
Oops meant squirrel story.
It is funny! Hopefully that furry-tailed rat will decide to leave us alone and go bother someone else…
If not, I have a squirt bottle that I can aim at him/her!
Yikes re: little critters. Have you heard of the rampaging wild pigs?
I’ve heard of wild pigs in the US South, but not in NJ. I hope they aren’t in NJ!!
Not NJ. The NYT article related a story of the pigs in the Bay Area.
Squirrels don’t bother me on the outside. Inside? No way!
One of my neighbors had squirrels get into the attic. Gods, what an unholy mess they made!
You and Mr. Jalapeno may vote and cook and do responsible things, but you’re clearly only bluffing at this adulthood thing! Just kidding; throwing a snowball at an offending squirrel is completely understandable. I myself chased a mouse out of the house with the fireplace shovel a couple of years ago.

In other news, I am going back to the office this Friday and then will have to figure out how many days I need to be in. I am thinking of doing Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays but will not be making up for the days I’m off. The powers that be are checking and I don’t want to be on that delinquent list.
I am excited to try air-frying frozen dumplings. I will report back. BTW, Target has the exact Cuisinart Air Fryer I have for $229.99 and you get a $100 gift card back. It is $30 cheaper than when I got it late last year but I’ve enjoyed mine for the past few months so no regrets.
I have perfumes packages awaiting and they will be revealed in time!
Yes please report back. I’m still looking for the best way to prepare frozen dumplings.
So I tried air frying frozen dumplings. The wrapper became pretty dry despite being sprayed liberally with cooking spray. I may have overcooked them (18 minutes altogether at 400). I may try again but with a reduced temperature (375) and cooking time to 14 minutes. I was concerned about not cooking the innards enough as the dumplings are made with raw chicken but the air fryer gets hot enough. If this still doesn’t work out, I’ll go back to pan-frying / steam.
Thanks for the report.
I love your bottle choice for today, so perfect for the lunar new year!
And the air fryer deal is REALLY tempting!
It is perfect ? – I wore it last Lunar New Year as well. The air fryer is going for a good price!
Happy Lunar New Year to you! ?
What kind of dumplings did you get?
A large pack of 60 dumplings – Ling Ling with chicken and vegetables. I overcooked them (see above comment to ringthing) but I will experiment with lower temps and time. I hope it works out the 2nd time.
I was showing my daughter your pics and she said ” but where’s the Owls?” Lol
This is so funny and heartwarming at the same time. They will be back! I wanted to highlight the red on red aesthetic leading up to Lunar New Year. I’ll be back to regular programming tomorrow.
Hello everyone! I was offline for a few days, visiting family (wonderful, sad, very emotional) on a much-delayed Christmas visit. It feels like a good day for a new year, and in the old Celtic calendar today is the first day of spring, which seems a little hopeful for northern Europe but well, why not? I’ve been wearing Chanel Le Lion today, bought it early this morning at the airport-so much cheaper than in my favourite department store here (airport prices can be cheaper, yes, but, it was waaaay cheaper in Euro than in pound sterling, good to remember as I’ve had my eye on Misia for years). Well, Le Lion is something I have been circling round for months and it is one of the bottles on my shortlist for 2022. And I do want it to be a short list! Hope you all have a good day. I’ve caught up on the comments for the past few days and am thinking of you all.
Congrats on the new bottle. It’s such a good one!
Ah, so glad you got to do a family visit even if delayed…and glad it was worthwhile even if emotional! And of course congrats on Le Lion.
I did a grocery run ahead of the storm today. I will have to be out anyway because I work the next few days. They keep changing what my area should expect so I guess I will know when I know.
Sampling the new Burberry Her edt today. In the green tinted bottle. I like it. It smells like spring. Happy and refreshing. In the same way as Chance Eau Freshe but more flowery.
At least you were able to stock up a bit before the weather turned!
I did need a few things… Like chocolate pie! Lol
They are back to saying 2-4 now which isn’t so bad. I believe ringthing and Dawn are in the 12+ area!
My forecast for the end of this week has been changing, too. And not for the better! I do NOT want to deal with the Dreaded Wintry Mix!
Happy lunar new year!
The year of the tiger was not off to a great start for me, since I slept poorly last night. But I survived the day and I’m wearing Nahema, so all is well. And I’ve painted my nails a fiery red for the new year. It feels fun and festive. I’ve not painted my nails in years because manicures never last on me, I’m pretty rough on my hands!
Nahema is gorgeous! ?
I’m the same way — hours of waiting for my nails to dry and then the polish gets wrecked in half a day. I’ve given up and just keep my toes painted. Hoping for a sleepful night for all of us insomniacs!
Rosa Sur Reuse for brave and powerful –I had my first lesson of driving in snow. (Also because my new bottle arrived and I had to make sure it’s good!)
Oh good for you — hope it went well!
