It's Hump Day, folks! And, International Chefs Day, World Osteoporosis Day and Information Overload Day. What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm in L'Artisan Parfumeur Timbuktu for Pantone 17-1340 Adobe.
Reminder: on 10/22, wear a fragrance that evokes one of Pantone's picks for the Autumn/Winter 2021/2022 NYFW Color Palette. (If you like, click through to the article and pick your fragrance based on the color name or description rather than the color itself, as in "Leprechaun is a wondrous green hue emblematic of the mythical imps featured in Irish folklore" or "Friendly and joyful, an optimistic yellow offering the promise of a sunny day.")
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2021, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

You smell great, Robin!
I am in Chanel Cuir de Russie for the chilly, damp weather we are having.
You smell great too.
this is a delicious one. I unwrapped the bottle last night. Bought it a year ago. Pretty good, no?
Wait. You bought it a year ago and didn’t open it until last night? Mad respect for your self-control.
I go through these phases.
Theres an unopened bottle of 31 Rue Cambon right behind it waiting for the right moment.
Twins!
You smell good.
Why thank you, and so do you! And to my mind, we are about the same Pantone color…maybe you are closer to Root Beer.
Wearing Black Perfecto for Fuchsia Fedora. Despite the name and bottle, the sweet-tart cherry makes me think pink and loud.
Happy Wednesday! It’s been a long week already ?
You scent and color pairing is spot on
Good call!
Information Overload Day, you say, Robin? Methinks that’s very appropriate given the previous Andrea Maack article…!
Hehehe
🙂
I saw the Bond movie last night.
Great film but wanted more gadgets from Q
Starting reading a YA Under the Whispering Door
Chai tea
SOTD Rose Prick
Chai!? I’m looking forward to seeing the new Bond, but may wait until I can stream it in the comfort of my own home.
I thought I would wait too, but I think Bond films need the big screen to get the full effect
Ohh, I love Bond movies! I can’t wait to see it. I think Daniel Craig is my favorite Bond.
Tea twins again!
I think he’s my favorite too.
Well, those eyes- those abs!
Woof!
I have a standing date with my nephew for all Bond movies…can’t wait to see it!!
Aww, fun!
I said the same about the last Bond! And that it was more Bourne than Bond. Looking forward to this installment nonetheless.
My hubs and I will be going to see the new Bond this weekend!
Can’t wait.
Good morning, all! I’m cheating a bit for the CP today and wearing my fragrance to go with one of the Pantone Classic Core colors, 17-5104. “Quietly assuring and reliable, Ultimate Gray encourages composure.”
The incomparable Vol de Nuit for me!
Great pairing!
I’m wearing Frassai Blondine and pairing it with Illuminating. In the French fairytale for which the perfume is named, Princess Blondine is yellow-haired but also unfailingly optimistic and kind.
This is the only scent from Frassai that I love—on me, it’s sweetened flowers with a touch of gasoline.
“Sweet flowers with a touch of gasoline” is quite the description!
Wearing Patchouli Intense to go with the color root beer. Perfect perfume and color for a fall day.
It was almost too warm here for even Timbuktu, even though there is a fall “feel” in the air.
I’m wearing Saturday to go with the fuchsia shade. Yesterday was PdN L’eau à la Folie for Illuminating.
I need something to keep my spirits up. We had one day of sun after days of rain, and now are back to what looks like over a week of rain again. Plus Halloween costumes to make, birthday parties to plan, and school applications to get the kid to finish…lots of stress right now.
No sun is so hard this time of year, I feel ya on trying to keep the spirits up.?
My sympathies to you. I can’t hack Canadian winters, snow or rain, because of the lack of sun.
Same on PNW winters, which start in October and end in June. It’s the monotony of grey skies, drizzle, damp and cold, day in & day out that I found intolerable.
I can usually get by okay because there are sun breaks even on the rainiest days, or it seems there used to be more of them. But we’re in that stretch that seems to happen every November where it just steadily rains for a week or more. It’s usually November and February that are the killer months, but it seems we’re starting early this year.
I mean, the plus side is that I only have to shovel snow once or twice a year, usually.
Hang in there, sending positive vibes for all your upcoming activites.
Sending sunny thoughts your way!!
Hoping that you see the sun very soon!
I’m in Dame’s Earth Mother. The last of my little decant.
My parents made it safe and sound to Florida yesterday and so now I can breath a sigh of relief. They were towing a trailer with a bunch of their stuff, which always makes me a bit nervous.
Also, I was kinda naughty yesterday.? Did a little too much retail therapy. First I splurged on a cashmere sweater that I probably shouldn’t have and then last night I just randomly checked the Guerlain website and the new Shalimar was back in stock, so guess who ordered a bottle?! Just in time for the splitmeet!?
Yay for Shalimar! I bought some stuff I didn’t need this weekend either, but mom and I got out and had fun together.
Nice.☺️ Have you tried this new Shalimar?
Yes, I managed to snag a bottle from Bergdorf Goodman. For me it’s the best vanilla flanker so far.
Oh that’s right-BG! Good to know, can’t wait to try it!
Oh, we are bottle ordering twins! ?♀️
Make that triplets! Couldn’t find an emoji for triplets.
Make it quadruplets ?
Man, we did not waste any time on ordering this one, did we?
You get all kinds of enabler points and jewels for your pefumista crown, because I think it was your PSA yesterday that had us all scrambling! ?
Wait, there was a PSA? I missed that but somehow my subconscious must have picked it up because something told me to check the site.
Yay, my first enabler pin!!
Quintuplets!
Hey twin!?♀️ I’m looking forward to the free samples too. You’ll have to let me know when yours arrives and what you think of it.
Yessssssss for cashmere and Shalimar! Sending virtual high-fives!
I bought a cashmere sweater and a kindle!
I’ve been thinking about a kindle…I love cashmere too, but unfortunately I’m one of those people that washes everything in hot water and sets the dryer on INCINERATE to kill pathogens. ? I don’t think cashmere could survive that.
I have a Kindle Paperwhite I got at last year’s Prime Day sales. I ended up going the cheapie route by getting the one with sponsored ads but I don’t even notice them at all. I also got a case, one that did not match the Kindle color but that’s how I roll!
I purchased a Kindle Fire a few years back, I absolutely love it!
Lol. Thanks KellyC, virtual high fives back!?
LOL, it’s an online Shalimar Stampede!
Ha! They’re probably out of stock again.?
Wearing my Somalian Rose incense oil, red and spicy Pantone color! Thinking about finally springing for a little bottle of St. Clair Casablanca. Has anyone owned that for a while? Does it wear well?
St. Clair scents make me think of cm8, maybe she will chime in. I think someone else wears it too….maybe Calypso?
I have Pharoahs Passion and Eve.
They are beautiful, rich, resinous.
Girding my loins today with Cuir de Russie — it and No. 19 are my two most armoring perfumes, with No. 19 being the cool, elegant, above-it-all one and Cuir de Russie being the Amazon with her sword drawn and a “just try me” look on her face. Feminist rant ahead:
Meeting three contractors at my beloved preserve this morning, all three of whom were hired by me to help implement technical elements of a project I designed, and yet consistently talk over me and talk down to me as if I were the child in the room (or the woods, as it were). Then back home this afternoon to put the smack down on a toxic male colleague who’s taken to picking through my project folders and editing documents that I’m in the process of drafting and sending me daily emails ordering me to do things. This person is not remotely my supervisor, and has a long history of ticking people off both inside and outside our agency with his overstepping and generally ghastly people skills, which somehow only the women get hit with — he’s chummy and deferential to his male colleagues. Feeling miffed enough to take it straight to HR but no, I’ll do the professional thing and attempt to deal with it at the lowest level first.
Ugh. What I really wanted to tell you all about is that yesterday evening I treated myself to a rose-scented massage at a posh spa in Sonoma, my first massage since before the pandemic, and I can’t recommend this highly enough! I went into it a bit afraid that I’d break down crying over having human contact again after so long, but instead I grinned like a drunken goon behind my mask the entire time.
AH, a massage…what a good idea…
I had a massage in April and it was the best thing, and then a facial at Guerlain a few months ago. It was bliss
Your massage sounds glorious! Great timing too, with the day you’re anticipating.
Yay for massages! (Especially rose-scented ones.) Right before COVID, I did a sisters weekend in Sonoma and we got buried in boxes full of hot cedar shavings for 20 minutes, then had a massage. Missing that!
Yay for that massage it sounds wonderful but I empathize with your feminist rant. Hugs!
UGH on your behalf. So ridiculous.
They must all suffer from this male syndrome:
https://youtu.be/fcrexKS8kxA
HA! Love it!
If your files are on a computer, could you password protect them? It sounds like that coworker shouldn’t be mucking around in your work!
Great idea….
What jalapeño said! And yay on the massage.
I’m in JPG Classique (wafting from my living room desk – can you smell me?).
Work’s been crazy busy and this is my first week of half-time hours (my phased retirement) so I felt extra pushed to accomplish as much as possible. Working the first half of the week and then off Thurs and Fri. What will it be like? I’ll keep you posted. (We have guests at the moment, so I won’t notice it so much this week.)
I’m looking forward to the splitmeet on Saturday!
JPG Classique is gorgeous! Enjoy your company!
I actually can smell you from here and you smell amazing! I’m glad you have a couple of days off and that work is (hopefully) slowing down 🙂
Hooray for half time hours!? Will you have every Thursday and Friday off? Sounds wonderful.
Huzzah for part time hours! ?✨?
Yay! You’re on plan!
Hi all, my SOTD to match Panatone-Soybean is Simply by Clinique, with a great soy/milky note. I enjoy this quirky scent.
I’m tea twins with L2SG today. Mr. Smokeytoes loves Chai and I love the way the house smells after. I toss in extra ginger, anise, and clove.
I finished The Sense of Death: An Ann Kinnear Suspense series, and just started reading book 2 in the series, The Sense of Reckoning. 🙂
Also reading Surrounded by Bad Bosses.
are you using fresh ginger?
Yes, sure am! I just watched this video on home made Butter Chicken. I am so craving this dish right now!
https://youtu.be/PR1VIqMk7fI
I’m in Guerlain Neroli Outrenoir today.
Is it more Neroli (spring) or Outrenoir (midnight?)
I’d say it’s more neroli with just a whisper of smoked tea in the back.
It sunny and a chilly 51 degrees here in SoCal. The phone has been ringing for an hour. It the 80s and they’d like me to know that they want their perfume back. I’m wearing LouLou by Cacharel. It’s like an explosion of every floral note you can think of and then some. It’s the version that comes in the turquoise UFO style bottle with a red church steeple on top. (Maybe these are missionary aliens?) On a side note the red of the stopper reflects Pantone’s Fire Whirl quite nicely both in color and intensity.
Spectacular!
( thought I would switch it up today, lol)
Does she have original Fendi? Or vintage Ysatis?
Spectacular works, lol! I don’t know about Fendi, I’ll check. But Ysatis she does. I don’t think I’ve even smelled that one but I recognized the bottle. Shall I wear that one tomorrow?
No original Fendi that I can find. (Her perfume cabinet is crammed over 6 shelves.)
If you like BIG white floral. You should love it. ( there’s a little skank in there)
I do love me big white florals! A bit of skank seals the deal.
Got my space heater out and plugged it in this morning.
Making up for lost time:
Monday – CdG Rouge – Fire Whirl
Tuesday – Trimerous – Olive Branch
Today – Pourpre d’Automne – Rhodonite (“Aids in achieving one’s highest potential” – Yay!)
Major points, allo!
SOTD is La Fille de Berlin which I think picks up that Fuchsia just beautifully. Am listening in on a live auction, waiting for a lot of oil paintings from a local artist. I am sure they will go out of my price range, but one can hope…
You smell awesome! I love La Fille de Berlin. Good luck with the auction!
Listening in on a live auction sounds fun!
You smell wonderful! Good luck at the auction!
Fingers crossed you got something you wanted from the auction.
Victory was mine!!!!! I was at the top of my bid, just waiting for someone to outbid me….but I lucked out and got it!! A good buy and a great day…
Nice!
Congrats for getting something you wanted at the auction!
Forgot to put on perfume in the morning, because I had to hurry up to bike to work. Luckily I have some decants at work, so I wore Perles de Lalique, which would be the fuschia red of the Pantone colors. We ordered lunch today and I stuffed myself with burgers and fries. Thank God I was biking 2 hours today….
Is it still biking weather there,
or do you just suit up in winter woolies to bike throughout the cold season?
Today was sunny and not too cold. So I wore a dress, panty hose and a warmer bike jacket. I must be a view to behold on my bike….
Love it! ?♀️
Scent twins! Interesting how we picked different colors to match it to.
I’m in Montalé Oud Night today. Not bad, but not one of my favorites so far. I also tried Sweet Vanilla last night around bedtime and no, no, NO! Talk about a too sweet vanilla..! Yech, not for me.
Another thing I’ve noticed with this brand is that the spray is quite oily, like they’re an extrait rather than an edp. None of the samples or literature that came with the set really indicates if these are edt, edp, or extrait, so I have no clue. I also want to try Patchouli Leaves and Sand Flowers, but neither is in this set.
Fall has just been awesome this year! The best one I’ve had in years, leaf wise. There’s a lot of farm land around here so driving by you get the bright green dew laden grass of the pastures, dotted with cattle, bison(!), horses, goats, and sheep. Then the tress surrounding homes and outbuildings range from an almost neon yellow to burnished copper to deep maroon to flame orange, all set against the hill tops cloaked in the deep brooding colors of fir, hemlock and spruce. Mist often clings to these huge conifers. The mood screams “Heathcliff!” The surroundings are both lovely and haunting, comforting and malicious. It’s been rather rainy but I’m not complaining because it’s very much needed.
Happy Hump Day to all and hope your fall is wonderful! ??
I have Sandflowers, it has a strong algae note and it lasts forever. I like the first hour, but then it gets on my nerves. Quite similar to Acqua di Sale, if you know it.
Ok, thank you for the Sandflowers input. I’m not sure how I feel about “a strong algae note…” ?
I have loads of Patchouli Leaves and would love to send you a sample and see what you think. I have a bit of a love hate relationship with it. It is a dense, not sweet patchouli, like unsweetened cocoa/chocolate at times, which I love. At other times it is an amber/vanilla that swings masculine, that I don’t love nearly as much.
I think I have your email still– if it is the one that still includes a number over 100.
My pleasure. Let me know.
I have 25 samples to get through, a new bottle of CSP, and I ordered the new Shalimar yesterday! So I’ll be busy scent-wise for a good long while! Thanks very much for the offer, though! ?
We’re ordering twins if you meant a BEEEG sample. ?
This flanker seems to have mesmerized a lot of us. And yes, I ordered a beeeeg sample! ?
High Five, Twin! ?
Your autumn sounds magical. And bison! Wow.
Bison! I did a double take as I drove by. ?
Your Insta is a bright spot in my days!
No insta compares to your little Nacho, Nacho man! ?
I love Patchouli Leaves, it’s worth trying when you get around to it.
I’ll get there. Eventually. I’m feeling a bit guilty with my latest purchases. Not necessarily because of the cost but more so the fact I really Do. Not. Need. More. Perfume! I really don’t.
Re: Patchouli Leaves. It’s been on my mind since I read a review ages ago (might even have been here) about it being The Definitive Patchouli. So, I will get to it because I don’t have a straight forward patch. Yet. Did I mention I don’t need any more perfume?
As you are surely aware, I passed the too much perfume mark many years ago. LOL. Not that it stops me. I admire your restraint!
I ought to keep repeating that mantra: “I do not need any more perfume!” Will I do so? Probably not!
Feeling purple today, grabbed Lolita Lempicka Minuit Sonne. So relieved to be back home after a 4 day visit to my parents. It’s nice to see them but I always feel slightly on edge while I’m there.
Are they in San Diego as well? I think visiting is great, but even better I’d you can retreat to a nice hotel room. ?My parents are both space trucking, but I can imagine 4 days with them. When I moved out as young whippersnapper, I thought “never again.” And I never did. Parents just know all the buttons to push, since they installed them. ?
No, they are in San Francisco, an 8 hour drive away, so I have to stay a few days each time I visit. It’s painful but no choice.
If I ever make the trek to visit my parents, I’ll stay in separate lodgings and rent my own car. Shacking up with them is not gonna happen.
I’m too cheap to pay for a hotel, the car ride + gas is painful enough, so I just suck it up (and visit only 3x per year).
Great choice, purple and Lolita Lempicka always go together!
The bottle is so fun! Although you have to be very careful to locate the tiny sprayer hole in the apple stem before spraying. 🙂
First rain in goodness knows how long, so I am in the scent of rain (imho)– Hongkong Oolong by Maurice Roucel.
You smell so good! I’ve really enjoyed all of those Nez collaboration fragrances, especially Hongkong Oolong and Ambre à Lèvres.
This is the only one from the series that I have tried. I hated it when I first tried it. But it keeps growing on me. Today? I was looking forward to it 🙂
Possibly a song that fits: https://youtu.be/DhLsC2FpDZk
pbi: I am still madly in love with that song.
Was running late so just put on a spritz of the Bulgari blue tea
That’s my favorite of the Bulgari tea scents, you smell lovely!
2nd that.
Another beautiful fall day, this morning layered AC Vanille Insensée with Hanae Mori ‘Butterflies’ parfum and it is still detectable but this evening I applied VC&A Ambre Imperial which is not talked about much but I love it, not much of a projector but lasting.
That scent combo sound wonderful! I enjoy fall and cooler weather increases my enjoyment of perfume, too. I have no idea why..? Maybe because fall scents tend to so cozy and comforting?
I enjoyed that layering very much, Hanae Mori parfum is a little monster ? of longevity. I agree about fall perfumes being the most enjoyable, yes it must be the notes, resins especially.
I am a fan of the Ambre Imperial. I found a bottle in a discount shop and was curious because I think the perfumer was Quentin Bisch. I didn’t buy it and went back, but it was gone ( the shop, not just the perfume).
Oh, so sorry about your disappointment, somehow we always remember the perfumes that got away. I hope you find AI one day in another discount shop.
Wow, you smell cozy and lovely! I had a sample of Ambre Imperial, quite a nice one! That VC&A line doesn’t get mentioned much, with the exception Bois d’Iris and the vanilla orchid one.
Agree this line is underrated, especially AI.
I have a bunch of these buried in my closet, you’ve inspired me to pull them out!
Wonderful, you will smell great, such a good collection. I also have Gardenia Petale and Bois d’Iris.
Ambre Imperial is my favorite from that line. Thanks for reminding me to pull it out – it’s the perfect time of year for it.
So glad you have it too, and the season is perfect for it.
Sounds like a great combo..
It really was.
I also love VC&A Rose Rouge this time of year.
Yes, a beautiful gauzy autumnal rose. My other favorite from the line.
A lot of those VC&A perfumes are getting scarce now, aren’t they?
They were so popular a few years back, but you’re right I only see them at the discounters.
Starting to feel better. Made a Costco and Walmart run and made a point to get some Orejel stuff yesterday. My parents and I are doing a tour on Friday of the old Mansfield prison (they filmed Shawshank Redemption there). Wearing Clinique Happy lotion right now. The lotion is very hydrating.
Oh, is it a haunted tour..?! That would be a whole lotta fun! ???
We are not going for the full immersion/touch thing thing as far as I know.
Glad to hear you are in less pain. Hope it stays that way.
I hope so too.
Glad you are feeling better!
Ooooh spooky. That prison tour sounds super interesting.
I am wearing J Scent honey and lemon which smells sweet, like lemonade lemons with a spoonful of honey, and maybe a little amber. I am really enjoying testing these J Scent samples and have added some to my FB list, the one that exists in my dreams …especially now that the USPS has excluded us from its postal service. Early morning here, grey and green, no wind.
What, the USPS refuses to ship to New Zealand? That’s crazy. I am going to ask at the PO when I go later today.
https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/national/452764/united-states-postal-service-suspends-mail-deliveries-to-new-zealand
And,as November Rose observes Australia is also excluded. No Christmas cards from the US for us this year.
Shame. But at least it sounds like it is temporary. Fingers crossed it can resume soon.
I did not know this. I don’t know why I’m shocked, but I am shocked.
Good morning Kanuka!
Was thinking of you this AM as my sturdy little Napoleonic-terror of a cat ran into our backyard setting off wave after wave of doves. They peep peep peep as they flap up into the trees. It makes for quite a sight and sound as 15 to 20 take flight, and then another batch, and then another. There must be over 60 mourning doves hanging out among the oaks now. They blend in so well that I only see them when they are on our brick path or in flight.
They are pretty birds, aren’t they? We don’t have them here, I don’t think. I have never seen them.
My mom and I were talking about the USPS thing this morning. She sells Breyer model horses and ships a lot to Australia. There are a lot of boxes in the front room that won’t be going anywhere anytime soon . . .
Oh, I used to collect those when I was a kid! Just loved them?
In Tam Dao to get me through Wednesday. At least it’s sunny today. Caved and ordered a small bottle of the Chanel Paris-Edimbourgh and am now eagerly awaiting its arrival!
Ohhhhh I will have to look that Chanel up. I enjoy so many of the others. You smell great.
It’s really lovely. It comes across as cool and a bit fizzy to me.
Yay for sunshine and new perfume! ??
In the lovely and understated yet ver cuddly Musc Intense by PdN. It’s essentially a rose ambrette scent.
A rainy, grey day in Luxembourg but the colours are stunning.
Nice to see you posting again!
It’s nice to be back!
Do you know the novelist Dominique Barberis? She has one book translated into English (A Sunday in the Ville d’Avray) which I really enjoyed. I am glad you had a holiday to France.
I don’t. I have to confess I read but little at the moment, as I spend all my working hours pondering texts, somehow reading a novel isn’t quite as relaxing as it could be.
France was lovely. Such gorgeous countryside, excellent cheese and various other lovely things.
I’m glad to see you around here as well. Are you done with your treatment? I haven’t read here in a while so I don’t know if you have already mentioned it. Also if you’d rather not discuss it, that is of course perfectly ok with me.
Morbier, yum. My health is improving but walking is difficult and I still can’t reach my feet to put socks on ( but it’s spring and I have fur Birkenstock’s, love them). The cancer treatment is pretty much finished and scans are all good, except something has damaged my kidneys ( probably post surgery infection or large doses of antibiotics, or both) so that is being looked into. But I feel good, apart from constant pain. Plastic surgery in the future, probably. And I’m alive, which is a fabulous bonus…seriously wonderful.
Ugh for the constant pain, I am so sorry to hear that. Wishing you a complete healing and relief!
Estee Lauder Private Collection and a large cup of English Breakfast tea.
I’m wearing Sycomore today. Having a bit of an allergy attack at work, major sneezes and congestion. Good thing I don’t have to wear a mask while in my own office. I do feel so self-conscious sneezing in front of others nowadays!
And coughing and dabbing a runny nose…
I’m always so self-conscious about sneezing, coughing, anything these days!
Oh no, hope you feel better soon. Those looks of barely concealed horror are an unfortunate result of the current situation.
In Botrytis, which I tend to get a bit obsessed with this time of year, when mornings are chilly but blue and sunny, and the afternoons are warm. Honey, crisp tart apples and vanilla – yes, please. Sadly, I’m nearing the end of my decant and there’s no more to be had.
I’m awful at the pantone CPs. It’s not that I don’t have color associations with perfumes, but rather – I realized looking at the swatches just now – that I rarely see them as solid colors.
I have a bottle (or two!) of this. Wrapped up and everytime I read a review like yours, it reminds me why I got it.
Well, we’re going to have to talk about this, Annie. Might have to swap you my left pinkie for some of that juice……
I think I still have part of a dabber sample of Botrytis. If you would like it, I would gladly send it on. It’s not for me.
Seriously, there aren’t any rules. Just go off the color names or descriptions, or whatever!
Perles de Lalique today, because you can never go wrong with roses and patchouli. Possibly this works for Adobe? Rose tinted and earthy? I’m giving myself points.
The people who lived in the apartment (house broken into apartments) next door to me and liked to rev their motorcycle at 2 am moved out last month, the house has been sold, and new tenants moved in yesterday. Here’s hoping they’ll be better neighbors.
Good luck with your neighbour’s.
Oh gosh, sounds like *almost* anything could be better than a 2 am motorcycle revving. Here’s hoping!?
Good luck! The guy next door to me who bought the house last November did tons of noisy renovations and is now running an Airbnb out of it, lots of noisy parties. I’m wishing he does not get a permit in the upcoming Airbnb lottery that was just legislated to reduce the number of them here.
Oh my goodness! Crossing my fingers for you.
Yuck. What a pain!
Oh no! Seriously hope you get good neighbors.
Good riddance to bad neighbors!
Oh, you smell good! I like that one.
Genre for a chilly day. I enjoy this one so much in the cool weather; I will be sad when my decant runs out.
Probably still available at Bergdorfs but I haven’t checked.
Thanks! I’ll check and add it to my Santa (:::cough cough::: husband) wish list ?
I am wearing Les Indemodables Rose de Jamal this morning. It’s a nice rose, and I am picky about roses, but not $220 nice. Today I am trying one more time to get the new kitchen ceiling light to work before I give up and trash it. I really detest poor quality control, or poor workmanship, I can’t tell with this light but something is wrong.
It’s poor both and it’s not like you can lower expectations any lower!
SOTD = Rania J Ambre Loup
Amber! Spicy! Vanilla! Faux Tobacco!
I am on theme with Root Beer again. I am salivating as I don’t normally drink soda but I love me some root ?!
https://www.instagram.com/p/CVQyKdOr9xr/?utm_medium=copy_link
Will check back in later!
I am going to wear Les Indémodables Vanille Havane this week for my root beer theme too. 🙂
I may make it 5 for 5 with Vanille Havane tomorrow!
I think I know what I will do for Friday, but am reserving the right to change my mind at the last possible moment due to Perfumista Fickleness.
Just like me!
I love a good root beer too. I generally do not drink soda either but just something about a good root beer!
One of the best things I had to eat in Las Vegas about 10 years ago was a root beer float.
Wearing Bee today from a sample; maybe 1 or 2 more wearings left. I think the sample will be sufficient as I still prefer Slowdive.
Finally got an email response back that the plumber will show up tomorrow afternoon to replace the outside faucet!
I had to have my outdoor faucet replaced this year too, apparently it froze over the winter with the last (neglectful) owner. We insulated the heck out of it and drained it before we left. Crossing fingers.
Ugh! I think here it’s more of a matter of it just wearing out. Thankfully, strata is looking after it since it’s part of outside maintenance.
I tried Bee last weekend and I preferred Slowdive, too. Though if I had never smelled Slowdive I would have been quite impressed with Bee.
I agree! For me I like the beeswax note in Slowdive a bit more.
Yes, me too. I love that beeswax note.
Hope that plumber shows up tomorrow for you as promised! ⛲
Thank you! And I love the fountain!
I couldn’t find a faucet emoji. It must be hanging out with the perfume bottle one.
Gorgeous and sunny fall day here. It’s warm enough that I turned the heat OFF this morning. I’m pretty sure I will turn it back on again soon enough, since I am back on the Weather Roller Coaster, Fall Edition. ????
SOTD = Eau Premiere, from the sample stash. Not sure which version I have, since the dabber vial doesn’t say. But it does help me realize that I am much more a fan of the L’Eau than the Eau Premiere.
We had to turn the heat on here in San Diego. Cold overnight and early morning, plus crappy California insulation. Brrr.
Very happy that we had extra insulation put into the attic right before the pandemic. It’s helped tame both heat waves and cold snaps.
You smell really nice! I’m going to try not to turn on the furnace until Nov. 1st at the earliest. We’re on a yucky warming trend again and I don’t like it one bit!
Thanks! I think that the weather coming up for this weekend will be much more to your taste.
Something in Eau Premier gives me a headache. I don’t get it in any other version.
A perfume headache is no bueno!
It was indeed a perfect weather day! We even managed an early evening bike ride.
Have not had the heat on yet but I predict it will be soon.
Chiming in very late to say that I wore Memoirs of a Trespasser early on (to go with my morning coffee) and then Gucci EDP (brown juice, clear bottle) for the rest of the day. Sometimes I think I could wear the Gucci as a signature scent … and then I remember all the other lovelies in my arsenal. I am no longer able to be perfume-monogamous. ?
I used to be semi- monogamous. Then I found Nst!
Ugh… what a day!
Sotd is No.5 L’Eau.. because of Jalapeno!
Scent cousins today!
Sorry that you had one of “those” days.
